@@nokturnalmortum4763 Oh, it absolutely can be. Some of my favorite bands are atmospheric bm. It's just that more often than not, it feels like when bands are called atmo-bm you know exactly what kind of music you're about to hear, because they all tend to sound the same.
I see how you feel since some atmospheric black metal is just not exciting. Try Pagan Atmospheric Black Metal, that will get you killer stuff instead of three more black metal albums with album covers that fit the genre and leave you bored.
