this worked great, tried to find a way to out it on the side but the pull cables and distance was an issue..now hope the two sided tape works long term..:)
SNAP! I have the same, great bit of kit and the best choice IMHO. Nice instructional video. Love the Ratatizing modification, Gorilla Tape is the best.
There's 3 ways to do that. 1 is 3 year Alexa. App by hooking on your ring app to it. And then it would notify you when that sensor is triggered. The other way to do it is just use ring itself, Also, if you have a door opener that is Wi-Fi, ill will notify you also. Hopefully who can find some other videos on here. Useful thank you for your comment happy new year
Great idea! Just wandering if you have a strong wind, will it set off a warning signal. I have proximity alarms if thats what you call them similar to yours in our house and one night We were in a dead sleep and we had a strong chinook wind blow in and it shook a window which set off the most gosh awful alarm that you have ever heard. Well being woken up to that, I couldn't think, I was in my underwear still half asleep going from window to window which it told me which one it was but my mind was so befuddled along with the alarm company trying to calm me down and wanting to know if we were ok. Turned out to be a movement to break the connection. It didn't take much. We had a good laugh after. I hope you don't experience that my friend.
Lol, we had a sensor go off one night I grabbed my phone to see the cameras at the front door and I was so fast asleep when I woke up my eyes would not focus on the phone I had to get up and go look there is nothing there. The next morning we looked at the video and some big ass bug was crawling on the ring doorbell. So to answer your question I don't think the wind will blow hard enough to move the one on my garage doors but there's always a bug in your system, lol
@@tylermuh1563 I'm still not sure what you're trying to ask me if you're asking me about hooking up the smart plugs. It was not a password problem it was a 2 MHz problem

This video is awesome. Thanks for posting. May I know how to sent alert messages to Alexa saying the garage door is opened or closed. Thanks.

So you put a sensor on the outside of the door going into your garage?
No it is on the inside of the door when it folds up it hangs down

Allright do you put the right password on your smart plug and it didn’t work
I'm sorry but I don't understand your question
Did you put the right password on your smart plugs
