I actually really like your hair and beard like this, Nick! Somehow it's a golden mix between 'young & funky' and 'sophisticated crazy professor'. Do keep it!
@@sandwhich1050 Yeah well my sister and I have spent 4 years slowly clearing out our Dad's 60 years of "collecting" crap in his shop that he thought he'd use some day.
I kinda miss when you used to find the Yorkshire grit in random places lol. This looks so cool. I wish I had the tools and materials to make something like this, or the money to buy this one hahahaha.
We love to hear you talk. There are tons of great makers out there, but your personality is what keeps us here I think. It's true of the best makers on the platform, that really we end up liking you guys as people. Keep being you, keep doing what you love, because we can't wait to go on the journey with you.
I am so glad that you picked that thrown out egg up and turned it into such a beautiful piece, it amazes me to when you see potential beauty in another's work that they see as trash. Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder in this case.
I think I have made this comment before but when I first came across your channel and it was named NZ Woodturning I thought the NZ stood for New Zealand. I then heard you talking and thought this guy doesn't sound like he comes from New Zealand. lol
I absolutely love that you can take a piece of broken project and turn it in to something beautiful!! I live across the pond, but I will definitely find a way to watch your show!!
Nick thank you for the continued entertainment. Hoping you and your family have a beautifully blessed Easter. Sending my love and prayers to you and your countrymen for health and healing.
It sure is a beauty! My mom used to works with gold leaves, to decorate old-style chairs, sofas and forniture in general... It's ALWAYS fascinating! Good job!!!
I would never have imagined that bit of broken wood would (hehe) be the base, but it is perfect 👌 both aesthetically and in theory (throw-always). Loved this project!
Nick, the egg needs a light. Btw, I have ordered all the materials for my grand nephew to create a hand for mom for Mother’s Day. We’re gonna the hand sign for love. I know she’ll love it. I’ll send you pics of the process.
Been watching your videos from way back when, good to see your still obsessed with pencils, love your work, just bought my first 6 liters of resin for a project I been working on for a week, wish me luck
Hi Nick, I enjoy and forward to watching your videos thank you. One thing I do miss is when you find your Yorkshire grit polish in funky places. thanks again, Skip "Unkknown Cues
Have you ever made a lamp or nightlight by leaving the piece "sanded white" instead of "polished clear" to see how light from inside - either visible or UV - interacts with the surface?
I love the egg!! I must say, Nick, that you are doing for woodturning (etc.) what "Beakman's World" (US TV Show) did for science. You make it funky, fun, and so entertaining. Keep the projects coming!!
Watch the trailer for your show... awesome. That just makes me super giddy. I was cheesing the whole rime. Like, I feel like I'm watching my *kid* on TV...all proud and excited!! Congrats love, you deserve every bit of success you achieve!!
Thanks for helping us stay sane Nick! Love this project, I have a bowl full of multi coloured marble eggs that my grandad left me, it reminds me of them 👍
Exactly the kind of program I love Nick, well done you!! You deserve it!! Congratulations! ..I'm so excited for you!! I hope you and your family are safe and well , best wishes xx
Just watching you on the tele box Nick! Lookin swish in the scarf! My hubby is just sitting there looking at me as I'm shouting at the TV youhooo Nick! 🤣 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
There's no accidents in art just happy little trees and clouds - Bob Ross
Sir Smartypants Ruel wow!
Nick: Excuse the craziness
Me: No. That’s why I’m here.
This.
Can I double "like" this?
Lol soo true. I love his quirkiness
Embrace the crazy!😜
This was a delightful breakfast for me in Oz-waffles with a side serve of egg. Just what I needed!
I actually really like your hair and beard like this, Nick! Somehow it's a golden mix between 'young & funky' and 'sophisticated crazy professor'. Do keep it!
"Don't chuck anything away" - the horders motto!
can't consider it hoarding, if you're a maker. it's merely collecting materials for as yet unplanned future projects.
@@sandwhich1050 Yeah well my sister and I have spent 4 years slowly clearing out our Dad's 60 years of "collecting" crap in his shop that he thought he'd use some day.
Ask the local makers to come help...that way stuff wont go to waste.
I find it rewarding to be able to “fix” something I once walked away from. Never stop improving.
I kinda miss when you used to find the Yorkshire grit in random places lol.
This looks so cool. I wish I had the tools and materials to make something like this, or the money to buy this one hahahaha.
AGREED! 😏 Those were so fun. I can imagine it was getting difficult to think of new places to "find" it
As a wise man once said, "Keep calm and waffle on". Now who was that???
Diggin' the new look Nick 😉 Embrace the stay-home revolution.

My Papa planted a tree for every kid and grandkid when they entered the family.
Green Envy ❤️❤️
My grandma did the same :)
"Happy days" a sweet little egg. In time for Easter. Ahhh so cute. Turned out great.
I am so glad that you picked that thrown out egg up and turned it into such a beautiful piece, it amazes me to when you see potential beauty in another's work that they see as trash. Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder in this case.

I absolutely love that you can take a piece of broken project and turn it in to something beautiful!! I live across the pond, but I will definitely find a way to watch your show!!
I like your hair like that...it makes you look younger.
It hides the dad lines on his forehead.
Nick thank you for the continued entertainment. Hoping you and your family have a beautifully blessed Easter. Sending my love and prayers to you and your countrymen for health and healing.
Incredible
I love the waffle , that’s why I watch. Love your honesty and willingness to share your “mistakes”. Stay real, that’s the way we like it, FUNKY!
It sure is a beauty! My mom used to works with gold leaves, to decorate old-style chairs, sofas and forniture in general... It's ALWAYS fascinating! Good job!!!

That looks like a doorknob, which to me looks neat & beautiful.
Very underrated channel. Nick is a superstar in my book.
In 2 weeks I’ve bought a lathe, wood blanks, Yorkshire grit, wax and a tonne of resin. Found a new passion so thank you. X
I love how it came out, beautiful shine!
That turned out so well! It makes me so happy when something that would have wound up in the landfill turns into something that someone will treasure!
That gold flake looks amazing in resin.
Great things often come in small packages. Best piece yet.
6:36 umineko is pronounced more like ooh-me-neck-oh, and it means "seagull" - maybe a reference to those showy white flowers
