Cool Tools has the best instructional videos. Thanks lots.
This is great !
For a similar result without soldering, this is also possible to carve a thin groove of the size of a silver thread, using a very small chisel, and hammer the silver into the groove, then sand and polish the same way its shown in the video.
The profile of the groove has to be in a little "dove tail"-shape, like in a carpentry work,
To allow the silver thread to be "anchored" into the copper as the thread deforms to fit the groove.
Great video! Learned quite a bit. Never knew that could be done!
Loved it.
interesting video...thanks for sharing.
I wonder if you need to use quite that much solder? It seems like there was quite a bit still on the surface that needed to be sanded down.
Wow!!! What a very, very helpful and informative demo tutorial!!! I learned a lot too. I was totally unaware of this and feel that I want to give this a try. Thanks sooo sooo much. Oh, where can ya get the “flash shiner”? I’ve never seen this before. What a great video.

Why do you say "sodder"?
It's got a letter L in the word..because it's called "soLder".
Because the L is silent. It changes th o to make ot sound like sodder.
It isn't silent though! Well thats true for the rest of the planet, as usual the mercans have got it wrong...bit like saying UUUrbs instead of Herbs...
