I wouldn't say original. But the one that hit at the right time with the right audience and certainly the most succesful in legacy. No doubt about that
Concerning the time loop trope; it is a translation of the foundation of Buddhism. The story just cut the loop from a lifetime to a single day, with jokes
the benson and moorhead joint The Endless takes the time loop concept and makes it sci-fi and horror. i recommend it for the pod, or just to watch if you like cool sci-fi.
If I had a nickel for every time Michael had to do a horrible rhyming scheme that crippled his ability to talk for the entire episode, I'd have two nickels. Wait, are WE in the time loop now?
I don't think that what Bill Murray is going through in the movie is analagous to going back in time to fix things, because there was no initial mistake he was going back to fix. I think it was more like seeing every possible result of the entire possible set of decisions he could make in that day, and it ended when he had The Perfect Day. Just like the other guys said while I was typing this.
They should reupload this tomorrow.
They have been doing. Every. Day.
@@RumbleRedyou're stuck too??
@@mjhenkel1984 no, my dude. Enlightenment achieved. Just ask my piano tutor.
My favorite part of the movie is it inspired my favorite episode of Star Gate.
yielded a good episode of Outer Limits too!
Can’t believe this one hasn’t been covered until now - its been referenced in this series like 10 times
Shouldn't be possible. But in some universes it is!
i can assure you that most people view this as *the* original time loop movie. to the point that it changed the meaning of the word "groundhog day."

real life has jokes. the jokes aren’t an addition, that’s real life
I loved this movie as a child
Is this Groundhog Day? Because I could swear this film has already been covered by the Beans
I know that Mike was also reading the 'Amazing Stories" and 'Omni' magazines that the classroom had in the back of the room library like I was.
Has SWAIM done freestyle before? He is a natural talent!
i wouldve binged this whole thing the day it came out if i knew swaim was rhyming for it!

Okay, campers, rise and shine, and don't forget your booties 'cause it's cooooold out there today!
Wish this 6 hours long
Plz add “Palm Springs” to the list please
As impressive as it is that Swaim is able to do that, I'd prefer that he didn't because it gets in the way of him just talking.
What utter guff.
NOBODY MENTIONS THE SATAN\NED THEORY ?!? :O
I had to stop. I can’t do the whole forced rhyming bit for an hour. Love the movie, otherwise
