Hey! From some research I did a few years ago while preparing a school presentation on Dracula (the Bram Stoker book), what I understood is that the only association between it and Vlad the Impaler (aka Count Dracula) is that he stayed there for a few days at some point in his life. The association with the book is, like you said, because the castle and the surroundings kind of look like the description in the book. I know it's a few months late but, hope it helps! :)
History of Vlad the Impaler a.k.a Vlad Dracula Most scholars believe that author Bram Stoker based his evil count Dracula on a real-life 15th century prince of lands in Wallachia, Romania. Vlad Dracula (Vlad Son of the Dragon) or Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), as his story has come down through history, was a terrible man and a savage ruler. His brutality primarily against enemy troops consisted of having them sit awkwardly on stakes with sharp points and, as their leg muscles gave out, the point of the stake would impale them through the length of their body. Thus, he was nicknamed Vlad Tepes, which means Vlad the Impaler. However, impaling was not his only method of torture and murder. He was as creative as he possibly could be. People also knew him to boil his victims or cut off their limbs and other body parts. Additionally, Vlad mutilated organs, skinned, scalped, or had people eaten alive by animals. Bram Stoker took note of Vlad’s name, Dracula, and used it for his character. Vlad acquired the name Dracula because of his father’s name, Vlad II Dracul and he was in a secret society named The Order of the Dragon, for the purpose of fighting the Ottoman Empire during the Crusades. Hence, Vlad II took the name Dracul, which means the dragon or dragonist. As noted, Dracula means son of the dragon. Actually his fortress was Poienari castle but he is mentioned of ruling for a very brief period in Bran Castle also. We romanians consider Vlad Tepes a.k.a Dracula a national hero, defending this small country against countless attacks from the Ottoman Empire , we don't care about the vampire myth :D
.....one day m gonna set my feet in Dracula's ground! I luv history, fairy tales & castles....Romania is on my bucket list. Growing up I thought dracula stories are true.....only then I knew when I dug up stories of Romania when I met my baby's father (from Cluj)!
Add Sighișoara and Sinaia with the Peleș Castle too ;) (I consider Peleș being the most beautiful castle in Romania.. starting with the outside of it) In Sighișoara you will find the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler (small town but beautiful.. worth being visited too)
Sorry for the weather chaps, it is the most wet summer of my life, it never rain so much and often since I can remember. This is crazy, not a day without a rain. It feels like we live in U.K., not Romania.
Sorry man, it was just an innocent comparison, I lived there for a while , and Your weather was "wet" and windy, as it in Bucharest this summer. For us, this is something new. The weather on this planet is getting more of a puzzle each day. During last winter we had spring, during spring we had winter, now during summer we have the autumn. Some specialists should find a scientific explanation and make it public fast. People die burned alive in Greece and in floods in Romania. No day without a serious summer rain. The land is saturated with water. Floods are making life impossible in some of our regions. Some rivers caused serious floods, and what is worst is still to come.
Hi! I just finished watching the whole Romania 'series' and I want to thank you guys so much for picturing our country so beautifully! I'm glad you enjoyed so much of it and I love the way you got to know a little bit of everything. You kind of made me miss Sibiu and Brasov, I must pay a vist soon. Thank you once again and good luck on your trips, I'll definitely be watching some more of your videos!
Hi, I'm really enjoying watching your video's. I'm from Europe but never been to Romania and now I really want to go there too. Thanks for sharing your travels on here and inspiring me, and I guess others on here too.
Family Travel Vlog kind of the same feeling but I still think that every castle should be renovated and not let look like ruins of the forgotten history of the area. Those castles on the coast of Ireland are a very cool example of ruins of castles and palaces that look nicer when destroyed than restored.
We have a lot examples of ruined castles/fortress/citadels in Romania: Cetatea Enisala, Sarichioi, Tulcea, Romania / Cetatea Poenari, Arges (the real house of count Vlad Tepes "Dracula") / Cetatea Stolzenburg (Slimnicului), Sibiu / Curtea Domneasca, Targoviste (also another Vlad Tepes "Dracula" house) / Castelul Bánffy, Cluj Cetatea de Scaun a Sucevei .....and many more.
If you ever come back to ROmania you should consider visiting the Citadel of Sighisoara. Even I was amazed when I first visited , and I live here :D . Another great place to visit would be the village Viscri, in Transylvania. Great views, amazing people , and delicious food,
Brasov is soooo beautiful. And that apartment is unbelievable! I was there in May (under the Brasov sign on Mt. Tampa). And Bran is lovely. Forget Vlad. For my money, Queen Marie of Romania steals the show. Cool that you got to Rasnov. The view alone is worth it.
Freaking add placement!! You get me every time Eric! haha Its so nice to see Romania in the summer and you guys are staying in such cool places. I love the apartment and the kitchen floor. Agh You two are just so cool. 😎 -Ash
Love the apartments you have been staying at. Very cool architecture and colors. The castle and views were stunning, and I personally like some history with my sight seeing 👍 Romania, 🇷🇴 who knew.. 😎
Watching this is very nostalgic! Visited here in 2016 and seeing this beauty again just reminds me how much I love to travel. Seeing you and Brasov as well just gave me wonderful flashbacks of how beautiful the city is!
Hey! The inspiration behind the character was a Romanian leader or voievod known as Vlad Țepeș or Vlad Drăculea/Dracula better known as Vlad the Impaler (his father was Vlad Dracul-Vlad the Dragon->loose translation; who got his name after being received into Ordinul Dragonului-The Order of the Dragon, hence the nickname. I'm guessing in those days the 2 words had a similar meaning. Medieval times were strange :) ). So, I think Stoker just thought that the nickname was cool. As for the castle, Castle Bran, from what I know, belonged to Vlad the Impaler's family. It was originally given to his grandfather. I think that the novel, together with stories of this charismatic, but ruthless leader who fought to defend his country at all cost+the position and feel of the castle were the perfect combination to make people believe it's the real deal.
Actually "Dracula" was a derivative the uncultured masses got from "Draco". In Romanian, there is no word for "dragon" (the European knightly order Vlad's father was a part of), but it does sound like "dracul", which translated to "devil". Funny enough, people liked to poke at their politicians back then as much as they like today, so having an insulting nickname was cool.
I always hit the like button, I love the apartment I could happily live there. Bran Castle is amazing, maybe a bit too touristy for my liking, but the views are great.
Hi,just found your channel today! I am romanian an last year I brought my boyfriend to visit the Moldova area....he is still impressed ... Me too...happy you visit the country....and hope on the futire you will find more beautiful things Romania hast to offer...take care of you guys....:-)
tiger cat don't dare to blame Romania because of a traitor king who stole the country gold, money and other precious stuff and he moved in Switzerland. And USA and România was alied in ww2 with Russia too, Hitler had 130.000 romanians captured and put them in prison and Russia helped kind of to get them back and românia had a goal to get back Transilvania and Russia said that will give us back Transilvania. And BTW have you know that Mihai I HAD 18YO when world War 2 came? Can you lead an army at your present age? Guess what no matter what happened in ww2 we still have own country where we live, and before that Mihai I first time was king in 1927-1930 and he was born in 1921 so he had 6 years and he was king for 3 years lol and nobody invaded country cuz they was scarred of a 6yo king :))))) let the jokes on other side Mihai I (ex king of România) died last year at 96 yo. So dont blame Romania, România did a lot of things for humankind, Romania made a lot of things that you use and don't know where they came from... A Românian invented arrow shaped plane, fountain pen , 3Dcinema, insulin, anti-aging cream, cervical cancer screening test, reaction engine, quadrocopter, the ejection chiar, BRIDGES over water, so still blame Romania for smth they did? What did your country for humankind? or Compare Romania achievements with other countries, you all says that Romania is poor country or etc.... But nobody knows our history, cuz of what gopsies? Each country has gispsies.... Sometimes gipsies are good for community some of them work on cleaning streets, help construction of roads, even collect bottles to put them on recycle to get money from them so yes we all have good parts and bad parts. One more time Do Not Blame Someone because what someone did how can be when I blame you for smth that your grand grand grand parent did a century ago :). I'm romanian and I'm prowd. No matter what. And remember grecee it's a big country and they borrowed money from other country 2 or 3 times to pay ppls salary, and idk the for for it when ppls stops working cuz of 60+ yo. România (not rumania, rumenia, romani) still on their feets.
Bram Stoker who wrote Dracula was an Irish author who visited Whitby back in 1890 and found most of his inspiration for Dracula there. Before he wrote the book he had met a Hungarian writer and traveller called Armin Vambery, who told Stoker stories of Eastern European folklore and superstitions, likely where his background started for the book. I don't think he ever suggested that Castle Bran was Dracula's castle, I think just the location he created in the book, people just kinda assumed and Romania jumped on it. Can't blame em. so did Whitby! Try looking up Varna in Bulgaria, that's where he sailed from and tried to get back to. They probably have Dracula's ship or something! Big Dracula fan lol xx
Great b&b room and also amazing shot of the castle! Love this place and totally want to visit there one day! :) I read online about the connection of Vlad and the story says, - "This character is often confused with Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), sometimes known as Vlad Dracul, who was a Walachian Prince with a castle, now in ruins, located in the Principality of Wallachia. Because Bran Castle is the only castle in all of Transylvania that actually fits Bram Stoker’s description of Dracula’s Castle, it is known throughout the world as Dracula’s Castle. Chapter 2, May 5 of “Dracula” describes the Count’s castle as “. . . on the very edge of a terrific precipice . . . with occasionally a deep rift where there is a chasm [with] silver threads where the rivers wind in deep gorges through the forests." So - definitely fits the description :)
I am from Romania, right from Brasov actually ^_^ happy to see you enjoyed the city. The legend of Dracula was actually moved here because the real story was about Elizabeth Báthory from Hungary. She was bathing in virgins blood because she realized that made her keep her youth somehow. The writer couldn't write about her or that place so he just chose this castle because it looked similar. I learned this from the first Romanian school that is actually in Brasov. Hope this helped.
Very nice vlogs! Your videos are an amazing way to promote our country. Next time you should visit the countryside from Bucovina, the delta, Timisoara, Cluj,..... you'll love them!
You are correct, In reality it is one of several castles linked with Dracula. The uncle of a friend of mine used to run tours in Romania in the 1970s and he needed a castle that was easy to take buses to and talk about Dracula, so he chose castle Bran as the one to link to Bran and Dracula. The castle was built by the Teutonic Order in a a small period when the King of Hungary allowed them construct castles along their eastern Border to help protect against nomads moving into the Kingdom (nomads who were escaping the Mongols). The Teutonic Order were then expelled from Hungary after they started building castles in stone, and only the King could do that. In this case the original castle was wooden and got destroyed when the Mongols came through Transylvania
he was a "Principe" not Prince, Principe was the ruler of one of the Romania's Principate(provinces). in this case he was Principe of Tara Romaneasca (Valahia>turk given name.)
Hi Guys...If you had enough mountains and hills.. I highly recommend the Black Sea, best enjoyed in Mamaia Nord resort,..Ibiza Vibe..great place to forget your troubles and recharge your batteries.. Or maybe the Danube Delta if you like fish freshly cooked right from the river...
5:05. Where the castle footage starts. I took a bela lugosi dracula mask and took a selfie overlooking the courtyard. I think its called draculas castle only because it most closely resembles Bram Stokers description in his dracula book if I remember correctly.
Romanian folklore is full of legends tying the vampires to the Bran castle. It is historically documented that Vlad Dracula visited the castle at least a couple of times, though he never actually lived there per se. He probably moved in after he passed away and became undead.
Awesome, I love castles! Had to chuckle when I saw the sign pointing out to the secret staircase. Not exactly very secret then, is it? LOL, I know, J/K, thought it was quite funny :)
You should check out some Hiking Trails in Bucegi Mountains, south of Brașov. Take the cablecar and go to the Romanian Sphinx(like the Egyptian one). Very nice video, keep up the good work!
I am a sommelier and I have traveled throughout Romania buying wines for export. As for the many castles, there is actually no link. It is just to attract tourists. Nevertheless, it is a fun adventure))) Vlad III, Prince of Wallachia is the inspiration for the fictional Count Dracula. He was born in the city of Sighisoara and other castles are also associated to his reign. Poenari and Hunayyadi immediately come to mind. As for Bram Stoker, I think it is safe to say that his wonderful tale is a complete fabrication.
I was there at Castle Bran myself. The Lonely Planet Travel book on Romania states that Vlad Tepes (Dracula) was imprisoned at castle Bran for one day and night, nothing more. I guess Romanian tourist agencies advertise Bran as Castle Dracula because it is much more intact than the real fortress of Vlad Tepes, which is actually Cetatea Poenari (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poenari_Castle), which is not too far away from Bran. It’s but a ruin. Poenari Castle is much more “Dracula-esce” than Bran and I even got a real bat from there enshrined in some transparent polymer-glass in a casing that very much resembles a sarcophagus ;-).
I was also at Bran recently and I was told they associate it with Dracula's castle because it's the only castle in Romanian that resembles the one described in Bram Stokers novel. Though Vlad the Impaler never lived there and Bram Stoker never visited it. Slains Castle in Scotland also claims to have inspired Bram Stoker and be the real castle from the novel. Poenari is the fortress that Vlad spent most of his time at and can be visited, it's quite the hike though.
You should definitely book a trip back and see Sinaia Castle, it's near Brasov, I don't know how come you guys have missed that. Than you can rent a sport car and go to Transfagarasan :) google that out :). I am strongly suggest you to visit also the monasteries around Suceava. Putna, Voronet, Gura Humorului, Moldovita. and many more to go visit. :) I am glad you enjoyed my country so far :)
It’s true that Vlad Tepes, aka Dracula, never used this castel as his headquarters, but it was part of the chain of defense for that county (Tara Romaneasca) before Romania was unified in a country. He is associated with it for pure commercial reasons, as it is easy accessible (his real castel is far north and very difficult to access) and near Brasov and the capital Bucharest.
Bran Castle was described in Bram Stoker's book, "Dracula", after a postcard that he found, but he had never been to Romania. Also, Dracula was the nickname of Vlad Țepeş, the Prince of Wallachia (1456-1462), because he was very ruthless and he killed the malefactors and then he use to stick their heads into thorns ("țepuşă" - Vlad "Țepeş").
Here is another castle I discovered you might want to check out? It's called, Hunedoara Castle or Corvin Castle which is supposed to be the more "ligit" Dracula's castle. There is a show a while back called, Ghost Hunters International and they did a ghost hunt there as a lock in and it was veerry intense! Wondered if you have time to go there before you leave? Hope this helps!
You should seriously check out the citadel in Alba-Iulia. It's seriously in my opinion the most amazing citadel in our country. You got dudes dressed in soldiers and on horseback around there and there is also a "guard change" at 12 if I'm not mistaken. You should check it out.
Eric, the reason Castle Bran is associated with Dracula is they shot a film about him using the castle as location. Sir Christopher Lee played the part.
Oh, those freebee appetizer pork belly bits...2nd degree burns to Eric's mouth! But, dang....pork belly and red onions....who could resist? The apartment you got was so amazing! Truly a beautiful place to park your gear while exploring an amazing spot.
I guess Bran Castle is asociated with Dracula mostly for commercial purposes. Actually Dracula is based on King Vlad Țepeş and i know one of his residence was Poienari Castle, so you can check Poienari Castle. That one is not that much known because it's more like in ruins, with some walls left on top of a clif. It's cool anyway ... i love Poienari Castle for his wildness even more then Bran i reckon :)
Roumania looks beautiful theres nothing up with a few tourists, people make the place some times, love Switzerland get a cable car ride up the Jungfrau, restaurant at top is to die for
The castle is related to vlad tepes, the real dracula, who is rumoured to have been imprisoned there at one time. His actual castle is poenari although its more ruins now but you can visit its up on a cliff top. Loving the vlogs am very jealous love the romanian history
The castle is partially linked to Dracula through a Wallachian Ruler - Vlad the Impaler. He used to impale people on long, high and sharp poles and let the corpses there to rot in order to send a message to all the other that were considering committing illegalities. While he didn't rule from Bran Castle, he passed there a couple of times. There is no direct link between Dracula, Bram Stoker, Bran Castle and Vlad the Impaler, but the story above is the commonly accepted one. While I thank Bram Stoker for the free marketing, I'm not that excited about that link with Dracula to be honest as there is no history link other than the one I explained above. The fortress was initially built in 1212 along a trade route through the mountain pass. Hope this clears the air a bit :)
The "Dracula's Castle" ( or Bran Castle as it is known in Romania ) was built in Vlad Dracul's times (ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vlad_Dracul), father of Vlad Tepes( Vlad II Dracul ). It's name came from the Dragon Dinasty, found in Germany of XIV century. Vlad Dracul was a member of that Dinasty, so the castle in which he was ruling borrowed that name. Hope I helped ya!

Most scholars believe that author Bram Stoker based his evil count Dracula on a real-life 15th century prince of lands in Wallachia, Romania.
I think it was Draculea, not Dracula but that's important only for us romanians. :))
masterlee005 he was Best domnitor make disepiere all the iligaly and normal people love him he protected as from turks.
Vlad Draculea not Vlad Dracula :P just an FYI Draculea is super close cu the word Drac ( which means devil or demon in Romanian )
Sometimes people like Vlad are necessary for survival of the kingdom.
Wow, so gorgeous! I’m adding Romania to my list now!
Love it!! We we blown away by how beautiful and delicious it was there!
Add Sighișoara and Sinaia with the Peleș Castle too ;) (I consider Peleș being the most beautiful castle in Romania.. starting with the outside of it)
In Sighișoara you will find the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler (small town but beautiful.. worth being visited too)
Nice, you guys should also see Peles Castle in Sinaia
Love Romania, each time is better and better and has so much beautiful places to be discovered😍
Sorry for the weather chaps, it is the most wet summer of my life, it never rain so much and often since I can remember. This is crazy, not a day without a rain. It feels like we live in U.K., not Romania.
it really does :D daily showers and green grass. i keep the AC on dry at night and in the morning. can't stand humidity
doesn't always rain in the UK we have had a baking summer temps in the nineties at times 👍😃
Some rivers caused serious floods, and what is worst is still to come.
lol yea I thought the skies looked very British!

Oh such wonderful scenery, and another great video from an amazing country. Thank you guys 🥰
For some reason I get more excited about ruined castles then well maintained ones. The second one where it hadn’t been restored is so beautiful 😍
Family Travel Vlog kind of the same feeling but I still think that every castle should be renovated and not let look like ruins of the forgotten history of the area. Those castles on the coast of Ireland are a very cool example of ruins of castles and palaces that look nicer when destroyed than restored.
We have a lot examples of ruined castles/fortress/citadels in Romania:
Cetatea Enisala, Sarichioi, Tulcea, Romania /
Cetatea Poenari, Arges (the real house of count Vlad Tepes "Dracula") /
Cetatea Stolzenburg (Slimnicului), Sibiu /
Curtea Domneasca, Targoviste (also another Vlad Tepes "Dracula" house) /
Castelul Bánffy, Cluj
Cetatea de Scaun a Sucevei
.....and many more.
If you ever come back to ROmania you should consider visiting the Citadel of Sighisoara. Even I was amazed when I first visited , and I live here :D . Another great place to visit would be the village Viscri, in Transylvania. Great views, amazing people , and delicious food,
very beautiful Romania 🇧🇷
Obrigado love brazil🇷🇴👍👍🇧🇷
Brasov is soooo beautiful. And that apartment is unbelievable! I was there in May (under the Brasov sign on Mt. Tampa). And Bran is lovely. Forget Vlad. For my money, Queen Marie of Romania steals the show. Cool that you got to Rasnov. The view alone is worth it.
Freaking add placement!! You get me every time Eric! haha Its so nice to see Romania in the summer and you guys are staying in such cool places. I love the apartment and the kitchen floor. Agh You two are just so cool. 😎 -Ash
WΔY ΔWΔY - The Way Away, travel and lifestyle
Is that called mugging in front of the camera ?
Love the Way Fam! :)
Melanie Celestee 😁
Gotcha! 🤑 Yeah it's been pretty nice, but so hot 🔥
guys , if you are still in transilvania u need to see Peles Castle !!! thats amazing
Sadly we ran out of time, but we'll for sure visit next time we're through!!
Too bad you gus did not visit Peles Castle, it's so much beautiful than Bran Castle. The inside of the castle is insanely beautiful.
Peles isn't in Transilvania.
"he seemed fairly legit" classic last words. Great drone shots of the castle and love the historical tidbits
Love the apartments you have been staying at. Very cool architecture and colors. The castle and views were stunning, and I personally like some history with my sight seeing 👍 Romania, 🇷🇴 who knew.. 😎
A dream place to visit! I am in love!
True, true. I just tried to keep the explanation as short as possible :)
@@ionicafardefrica but Vlad literally signed his name as Wladislaws Dragwlya. It is the Tsepesh sobriquet that was the nickname.
Bran Castle was never home to Vlad the Impaler. You meant Poenari fortress, in Wallachia.
So pretty!! I love the Insta photos with Allison's pretty red dress too. Nice touch with the scenery!
You should see Peles Castle in Sinaia!!! It is very, very beautiful
Am fost in August sa-l vizitez si sunt de acord.. Mi-a placut mult (+ ca e inconjurat si de natura)
In opinia mea.. cel mai frumos castel.. Desi am fost si pe la Bran sau Cantacuzino (Cantacuzino are totusi terasa aia in fatza castelului care e de vis.. Bei ceva si admiri privelistea cu natura si munti. Chestia asta m-a incantat cel mai mult acolo haha)
I always hit the like button, I love the apartment I could happily live there. Bran Castle is amazing, maybe a bit too touristy for my liking, but the views are great.
Loved the castle and the views of the surrounding area. Food looked delicious!
It was such an amazing day!
I miss Brașov... as a Romanian, I haven’t visited it in years.. 🙁
great great video, guys! 👍🏻 ❤️
Sorry about that! It's such a beautiful city (and country). Hopefully you get to visit again soon 🙌

I'm a castle junky, so this vid is my jam. I love your aerial shots! Beautiful! Romania may need to be added to my list of places to visit.
That's one cool apartment!
The Dracula's Castle here in Romania looks so beautiful and elegant, right? This reminds me when I watched the movie. 😁
This is my first time seeing the castle. Thanks, guys!
tiger cat don't dare to blame Romania because of a traitor king who stole the country gold, money and other precious stuff and he moved in Switzerland.
Great video...Vlad grew up in the town next to castle and it is believed that he visited the castle several times during his youth.
No. He grow up in the otoman empire along turks but he was born and lived the most of his life in Sighisoara.
@@alieNussss vladislaws visited the city of brassov so it is likely
Very nice vlogs! Your videos are an amazing way to promote our country. Next time you should visit the countryside from Bucovina, the delta, Timisoara, Cluj,..... you'll love them!
You are really nice people! 😍 Thanx for visiting Romania! 🤩
Beautiful apartment!.. i like it!..... enjoy your trip! In Brasov i love very much Poiana Brasov... resort sky!
I like the apartment very much
You are correct, In reality it is one of several castles linked with Dracula.
Bran castle was one of Vlad the Impaler's castle, but the Poenari Castle( ruins now) was his actually homebase.
he was a "Principe" not Prince, Principe was the ruler of one of the Romania's Principate(provinces). in this case he was Principe of Tara Romaneasca (Valahia>turk given name.)
oh Switzerland... multiply the prices in Romania by 10x
Popescu Sorin *20
And they drink beer in restaurants. At the supermarket a beer cost 3 lei (0.5 liters) = 0.65 euro :)
So excited you're going to Switzerland, definitely one of my favourite travel memories can't wait to see the vid. that castle was epic!
It is so much fun watching you guys travel.
Nice drone shot of that castle!
You should have visited the Corvin Castle as well. Its amazing there!
Awesome, I love castles!
Had to chuckle when I saw the sign pointing out to the secret staircase. Not exactly very secret then, is it? LOL, I know, J/K, thought it was quite funny :)
Thank you very much for the nice words about my country!
One of the most beautiful parts of my country :)
We agree! All the places we visited in Romania were great, but Transylvania blew us away 😍
Your drone has insane range! Great video.
I think the t-shirts at 4:42 should have said: Happy Toothgather!
You should check out some Hiking Trails in Bucegi Mountains, south of Brașov.
Take the cablecar and go to the Romanian Sphinx(like the Egyptian one).
Very nice video, keep up the good work!
You need to go to the real Dracula's Castle at Ceteata Poenari :)
And also @Târgoviște, where Vlad's capital was
I am a sommelier and I have traveled throughout Romania buying wines for export.
Oh and at the entrance of Poenari Castle, after some 1500 steps climbing up there, you are greeted by bleeding impaled mannequins, isn’t that nice 🙈.
The castle that resembles stoker's is the poenari castle, if you read the book closely enough
:) I am glad you enjoyed my country so far :)
always so lovely...Alison you look particularly lovely in this vid
Thank you guys for these videos, you made me miss this country so much!
You should visit Peles Castle and if you want to see a medieval castle also should visit Corvin (Huniad) Castle
Hi guys before you go to Bucharest, you should go to Cluj,Campia Turzii(very close) and Sighisoara(the "real place of Dracula" 😁).
I hope you enjoyed your adventure trough Romania
Next time you should definetly visit the Peles Castle! It's absolutely amazing
Great choice for the restaurant at Sergiana!!🥂
Hope you guys enjoyed beautiful Romania!❤️ I’m sure you two will fall in love with Switzerland, despite the prices😂
I love your video, nice and interesting!.... from Bucharest, Eveline!
I ❤ your good vibes and optimism!
Excited for Switzerland!!
I really like apartment. I got soo many cool ideas for my apartment. Thank you guys
Awesome! We did too 😍
looks very green and mountainous ... must get a lot of rain ...
Not really, but the soil is not degraded and can hold water quite well.
I love castles, I'm thrilled with this video!!!!!! ❤️
Thanks for watching!
Oh how spooky!! We'll for sure add it to our list for next time, thanks!
Corvin Castle has absolutely nothing to do with Vlad III Drăculea
The only reason to get excited about Monday's ;) A new Endless Adventure video!! :)
😊
Dracula was a king in Roumania 500 years ago called Vlad Țepeș and ITS a legend about him so pls read about Vlad Țepeș
You should seriously check out the citadel in Alba-Iulia. It's seriously in my opinion the most amazing citadel in our country. You got dudes dressed in soldiers and on horseback around there and there is also a "guard change" at 12 if I'm not mistaken. You should check it out.
Such a beautiful castle! Wouldn't wanna be there alone at night though 👻
I with a group of people stayed at a castle recently and we were the only ones :)
The castle looks amazing x
❤️❤️❤️ i hope you would like to comeback in romania , to see another beautiful places here!!!
I enjoy watching these videos! I’m originally from Romania 🇷🇴
Eric, the reason Castle Bran is associated with Dracula is they shot a film about him using the castle as location. Sir Christopher Lee played the part.
You should go to Peles Castle in Sinaia. It's beautiful!
Cel mai frumos :)
Daca mai pui in calcul si natura / padurea de prin preajma.. e un loc de poveste :)
An amazing video,Thanks.
Such a cool place you are staying guys
We loved that apartment! It fit the Transylvania vibe so well...dark, dramatic and beautiful! 😍
Oh Switzerland! My people! Great video again!
Thanks so much! We can't wait to take you all to Switzerland with us :D
I can't wait for upcoming videos! Is it possible that after Poland you'll visit Lithuania?
Guys you did not visit Peles and Pelisor Castles, it is not so far from Brasov, but it is an amazing place. Nature, architecture, everything.
Is it easy to get drone shots in other counties? I know here in the US we have all sorts of no fly zones.
