There is also 3-shipping for $3.99 and 2-day shipping for $7.99. Mk's website also mentions that in stock orders placed by noon CDT will ship the same business day. @Jax 2TheMax because for some reason the ducky 1 2 mini or mecha mini is known for fortnite players. fortnite is a really hated game and when you have a 60% keyboard everyone would say “idc abt ur fortnite keyboard” it’s a keyboard idk why ppp hate on it. (i don’t play fortnite btw)
My answer is no. I honestly think that they are totally separate keyboards even though they share some similarities. The typing feel and sound is totally different in my opinion. I do like my mecha mini better though if you're asking me to choose. :)
Ahh.. The question that we cannot avoid.. Honestly, it's a matter of preference. I think the typing feel and sound are pretty different. Right now, i'm perfectly happy with the mecha mini. loodx the delay is barely there nowadays depending on what you’re playing, and if you’re already playing capped fps then its worth the millisecond delay anyway
@Sanity but it’s not 1 ms tho is way higher cus he’s on Xbox and that gives it mouse acceleration, capped frames and a noticeable delay. If he were on pc, he would notice the significant reduction in delay and having no mouse acceleration and higher fps. That’s what I mean lol
OMG I am falling even deeper into the world of mechanical keyboards the rabbit hole doesnt end.... btw i cant get my mecha mini cuz its always out of stock :(

I don't think there's such thing as a good switch because everyone has their own unique preference. However, I think cherry mx brown would be a good start and most would agree that it's a balanced switch for gaming and typing. I would see cherry mx red if you like linear-type of switches.
Lil Rice Muncher Gaming that’s what I’m getting I’ve never owned a gaming keyboard and I really like the one 2 mini full white I’ve watched a lot of videos on it I wanted the Mx red but everyone seems to be out so I’m getting the brown switches I play Fortnite so I’m gonna have to learn😂🙃 thanks
@@swift3001 what i would do if i were you is run to a local best buy or something and decide if you like tactile or linear better. after that, i think you should go cherry mx brown or red as your first gaming keyboard. either one is a great start. no regrets. as far as the keyboard, you will definitely like the one 2 mini pure white edition. great typing feel, sound, and the rgb is ridiculously amazing on it! let me know what you decide and let me know if you have any questions!
Ducky did present a white mecha mini at Computex 2019 but they have not made any announcements on it whatsoever. My thought is that they're going to eventually release a white one. it'll just probably be a few months. I would also like to see a white one 2 SF too.
In a nut shell, aside from the usual typing feel and sound, the mecha mini (compared to the one 2 mini) has: - A more durable, aluminum build - Floating key design - Thinner and lower bezels - 2 height adjustable (one 2 mini is 3)
How do you even buy one of these keyboards today its literlly impossible there website doesnt even have a purchase option and amzon is........ dont even get me started on that.

You should be able to! I'm assuming you're referring to maybe the pudding keycaps?? The keycaps are for ANSI-US / QWERTY layouts and the mecha mini is the same so i'm expecting it to work. I actually have Hyperx White Pudding keycaps on hand that i'm going to apply to the ducky one 2 mini keyboard that's coming in tomorrow. Stay tuned for that video!
Wow my husband would love one of those keyboards for Christmas lol. He uses a vintage 1980's IBM keyboard. Guess those are boring to you younger guys lol.
Haha that's amazing! I wonder if it's worth anything. Nahh, i don't think it's boring at all! actually, a lot of keyboard enthusiasts love retro keyboards!
@@Momzahippie Wow!! I would definitely take care of that. I'm sure it'll only appreciate in value!! I have cherry mx brown switches on this keyboard but if people like "clicky" keys, I recommend keyboards with Cherry mx BLUE. Those are even clickier. :)
Hey, i've found some reports from other users that it does work but has some issues like randomly shutting off and becoming unresponsive. Seems like it just requires a firmware update. I don't know for sure where ducky is with this at the moment.
Honestly after having a Ducky One2 Mini for around a month, I can safely say im glad its gone, it was good quality but the lack of arrow keys really messed with me
I definitely do for work, video editing, and other productivity. I'm going to attempt to try this whole switching out as needed process. I even bought a dongle for my logitech g pro so that it'll accept the type c cable (g pro is micro usb) and I can swap the two keyboards easily and use the same cable.
I'm glad they ditched their micro USB nonsense. No clue why they used such a flimsy port when everyone and their dogs used mini USB. The build quality seems on par with what Ducky os known for too. However, holy damn this board sounds soooo bad, what happened there? oO I know they're really mot the best around when it comes to sound management but yikes.
Me too! I was actually looking at the Vortex Pok3r keyboards for a 60% with a metal build but that has a micro usb TYPE A port. I didn't mention how stable the port was on the mecha mini. It's is rock solid as you would expect! It resists me when i'm unplugging it for sure. I'm okay with the sound of the board except for that space bar. I'm going to see what I can do to remedy that later. Overall, i'm still happy with it though
@@lilricemuncher09 Yeah, if what's going on in r/mk is any indication, I'd say that the USB port is the most common point of failure in compact boards. But looking at the way they secured the micro USB port in my old Ducky one, I wouldn't be surprised if they did something similar here too. Have you considered taking it apart to have a look on the build quality of the hidden parts?
Wow that's a scary thought... I might get a short cable extension type C adapter then! thanks for sharing. The port is very sturdy but I do plan on swapping keyboards when moving from gaming to productivity stuff like work and video editing. I think Ducky was very detailed and focused on some of the small details like the type c port is a bit recessed. Almost missed it. I think it'll be okay, but a 5-10$ extension isn't going to heart. Tbh, i have no considered taking it apart. I would do it if there was a demand for that type of video though. Thanks for your advice!
@@lilricemuncher09 I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. However, it would be interesting to see if the port is soldered directly on the PCB (usually more fragile) or if it's separated and connected by the cable. The form factor would suggest the former but I guess there's only one way to find out. However, if it's not your cup of tea I'm sure some disassembly video will eventually pop up from somewhere and we can get the answer then. ^^
Great question and that does make a lot of sense. I'm sure it'll pop up somewhere too. I see that the keyboard is sold out again on mk's website. It'll come out eventually. Lol
hey what's up logan! yes, i do play Apex, but it's been a while. i've converted to mouse and keyboard finally on FN but i SUCK so give me some time. haha
Hey I was lucky enough to get in on the black friday sale. I think the code was like ducky8 or something. pretty sure it's over though. I got 8% off the new keyboard!! :)
@@linkstale Wow is it still working?? I managed to use that code and also some rewards points (which i didn't even know was a thing) from a previous keyboard. the mecha mini at full price is already a great deal!
mecha vs Logitech g pro? (gaming only). I would really appreciate it if you could reply. (note: I prefer 60% keyboards due to the space room they provide, as I already own a ducky o2m, however, I am also considering a tenkeyless option since there won't be a significant difference in terms of space room.
If I could take a picture and share it to this comment I would since I am literally rotating between a mecha mini and a g pro keyboard with romer g tactile switches right now. I use the mecha mini for gaming and the g pro for everything else. They're both great for gaming but for the way that i position my keyboard, i could really use the extra space (i've found myself ramming my mouse along the side of the g pro keyboard). I never have that issue with the mecha mini and it's built ROCK SOLID. One 2 SF is a great option as well. Some people say it's not significant space room but it's at almost 3 inches and it also depends on what games you play and at what sensitivity with your mice.
No such thing as a best switch. 100% user preference. I think cherry mx brown is a good balance and starting point for most people though. A lot of the best in e-sports would go for the cherry mx silvers but i wouldn't start there if i was new though. :)
can i switch my old ducky one2 mini into the aluminum case , want to try new switches but in case i dont like them i can switch to my old one2mini while having the aluminum case
If you buy aluminum cases separately for the one 2 mini, they are expensive. That's why i'm surprised how the mecha mini is only $20 more than the one 2 mini. As far as trying out new switches, I would go to a local electronics store like Best Buy (mine has several samples of tactile and linear switches available) or buy a sample key switch tester.
Razer could kill this and the GMMK if they made a 60% with 5 Optical switch choices or 3. I reallyyyyyy want that. They should also sell it in Mercury White. And sell it for $130 or $100
@@lilricemuncher09 Just build a custom 60% keyboard. Once you've tried some lubed and clipped stabs you never wanna type on anything else. To me your spacebar sounds horrible. But I understand it's one of the better sounding stock stabs.
@@HeK. I will eventually build one and that really is a personal goal of mine, but i'm right now i'm also interested in doing videos that help out a lot of gamers old and new. I think when you get into the custom territory, it's more for enthusiast gamers and typists and that's just a smaller population. This is just me being real. haha but i totally get it and 100% agree with you. I would still make a video on a custom board once I find the time. I have some many videos on deck to make. Lol
hey can anyone help me? i have a ducky mecha mini keyboard but the enter button is bigger and the left shift is smaller. i cant seem to find any others like it, i want to buy new keycaps for it and cant find a set anywhere

it's hard to say.... where are you buying it from first of all? let's start there.
Mechanical keyboards
Ok so mechanicalkeyboards.com offers free shipping (in the U.S.) on most of the Tai Hao keycaps. The free shipping says 4-7 business days. There is also 3-shipping for $3.99 and 2-day shipping for $7.99. Mk's website also mentions that in stock orders placed by noon CDT will ship the same business day. They're really good about processing and shipping orders fast! The holidays are coming up though so I would order soon if you want something asap!

(i don’t play fortnite btw)

i have ducky one 2 mecha mini
Nice!! How are you liking it?
Anyone selling one if not a original
my family can’t even afford this keyboard in 2 years
Is that one bether than the ducky one 2 mini?
My answer is no. I honestly think that they are totally separate keyboards even though they share some similarities. The typing feel and sound is totally different in my opinion. I do like my mecha mini better though if you're asking me to choose. :)

Ahh.. The question that we cannot avoid.. Honestly, it's a matter of preference. I think the typing feel and sound are pretty different. Right now, i'm perfectly happy with the mecha mini. I really don't think you can go either way. I have a one 2 mini on the way and i'm going to do a side by side comparison and give my final take on it.

Nytro Kana if u do that there is delay so maybe think about it properly
loodx the delay is barely there nowadays depending on what you’re playing, and if you’re already playing capped fps then its worth the millisecond delay anyway

What switch do you prefer? What did you get?
I like tactile switches and I got the cherry mx brown!
I like silvers ik you where asking him
What’s a good switch color for a full white ducky one 2 mini?
I don't think there's such thing as a good switch because everyone has their own unique preference. However, I think cherry mx brown would be a good start and most would agree that it's a balanced switch for gaming and typing. I would see cherry mx red if you like linear-type of switches.

Anyone know if the white version is gonna release
Ducky did present a white mecha mini at Computex 2019 but they have not made any announcements on it whatsoever. My thought is that they're going to eventually release a white one. it'll just probably be a few months. I would also like to see a white one 2 SF too.
What is the difference in ducky 1 two mini and mecha mini
In a nut shell, aside from the usual typing feel and sound, the mecha mini (compared to the one 2 mini) has:
- A more durable, aluminum build
- Floating key design
- Thinner and lower bezels
- 2 height adjustable (one 2 mini is 3)

Out of curiosity, what makes you like the anne pro 2 better?
I have a question, can you use the ducky one 2 mini on iMac?
Hey, i've found some reports from other users that it does work but has some issues like randomly shutting off and becoming unresponsive. Seems like it just requires a firmware update. I don't know for sure where ducky is with this at the moment.
Whenever I use a external keyboard on a Mac it doesn’t find it imo I wouldn’t suggest it
Thank you for sharing your input!
Hellooooooooooioo duck

I would say more of a vortex poker 3 inspiration
Space bar is kinda rattly
It is a bit. Honestly, it sounds better now than it did freshly unboxed in the video. No bs!
Honestly after having a Ducky One2 Mini for around a month, I can safely say im glad its gone, it was good quality but the lack of arrow keys really messed with me
Have you looked at the Ducky One 2 SF?? I hope I don't end up like you again. Haha i don't guess i mind selling this or giving it away.
sf (65%) has arrow keys
@@Kpaxlol yes and I'm going to unbox the new white one soon!
But it didn’t have the arrow keys and things? Didn’t you say you needed them?
I definitely do for work, video editing, and other productivity. I'm going to attempt to try this whole switching out as needed process. I even bought a dongle for my logitech g pro so that it'll accept the type c cable (g pro is micro usb) and I can swap the two keyboards easily and use the same cable.
For me it says on the site that it’s out of stock
You can still order it and get it shipped to you immediately with incoming shipments.
What’s price
$119 for the mecha mini!
Oh hell na
@@TTVContriteyyy Ducky One 2 Mini is $99 and it's a great keyboard too!
Lol

Ducky One 2 Mecha Mini Mechanical Keyboard Rgb plus S Max Pro
Is that some kind of kingdom hearts remix at the end.. lol.
It sure is!
mecha vs Logitech g pro?
The best switches for this keyboard?
No such thing as a best switch. 100% user preference. I think cherry mx brown is a good balance and starting point for most people though. A lot of the best in e-sports would go for the cherry mx silvers but i wouldn't start there if i was new though. :)

Sure. but i'm not very good at all. I just switched to mouse and keyboard from controller.

It is wired only. Lol
The Anne pro 2 is the popular 60% keyboard with wireless capabilities.
can i switch my old ducky one2 mini into the aluminum case , want to try new switches but in case i dont like them i can switch to my old one2mini while having the aluminum case
