This is funny to me. There are no ghosts at the Palace. I worked there for 9 years, I've taken naps there alone, I've sat in that space in the dark, I've even spent several nights there when our security system was down. Not once did I see or hear any thing. In the winter, the theater does make sounds once you turn on the boiler. I learned that if the theater didn't make certain sounds, the steam was not getting to a certain part of the house. The theater was build in 1928. That's 4 years after the Tornado of 1924. No one died during or after the construction of the theater, nor did anyone die on that land when the tornado hit. It was a car dealership. Bottom line: The palace is NOT haunted and there are NO ghosts in the space.

This is a 2 y.o. post, but I would like to point out that there was a theater there before the Palace Theatre replaced it called the State Theatre, which was ultimately destroyed by the tornado. The building next door collapsed onto the State Theatre killing 15. That's not to say it is forsure haunted, but it definitely opens the possibility.

I go to theatre there every summer and one year all of the lights turned off by themselves in the basement (one of our dressing rooms) and then the basement bathroom door slammed shut with many of my friends inside. No one new what happened so we ran for our director who was as equally scared. Now every summer we share stories of this ghost named Kevin (we decided to call him that)
