  • If you have a modern washing machine, it’s very important to know how it functions and how it washes your laundry. Knowing how your machine actually gets the clothes clean will help you get your family’s laundry done more efficiently and maintain the longevity of your machine.
Many complaints that people have about modern washing machines are due to operator error. We just can’t use them like we used machines 20 years ago.
Machines of the early 2000s and prior were built more heavy duty and all operated the same basic way. Today, we have lots of computers in our washing machines, machines with agitators, machines without agitators, frontload machines, etc. These modern designs each function differently to wash your clothes.
Hopefully, this short video will help people operate their washing machine more efficiently, their clothes will be cleaner, and they will be happier!

Great information! No one wants to take the time to think about all this, yet we all expect our machines to do the perfect job.

Thank you for the video. It has been 2 years since I have been doing my own consumer research and testing things out and looking at different machines. The amount of green washing and eco scare also ruins machines like no tomorrow. I live in Europe and I run a 60 degree cycle very, very often with the occasional 90 every end of month with a cleaner to make sure no gunk or fabric softener remains. Washing only in cold is terrible in my opinion, packing the entire machine also is some kind of eco-mindless tip that just doesn't make sense anymore. So taking care of the machines does require some research in my opinion since they will clean your clothes, or not if the machine itself is dirty, moldy and has multiple strands of bacteria and viruses on the drum or inside the machine
