People didn’t dislike the song. It was the timing of it. We were heavily invested in the tension between Cassie and Maddie and then we just shifted to this scene, and the scene was quite long too. I feel like if the Elliot song scene was placed in a different spot in the episode, maybe more towards the end, it would have been liked more and the emotional parts would have landed better
I had a bad anxiety attack one night. the love of my life sat on my lap and whispered sang this song in my ear. soothing me and letting me know she has me. I can still feel her touch. hear her heartbeat as she softly sings in my ear. this song will always be a milestone in my heart and will always pause. although we are not together, this song will always remind of me of the love that was, hopeful and stranded
