Funny you mentioned a spicy component would add to the churrasco at Panaderia Latina. I was thinking to myself if only he'd bought a bottle of Aji Chileno to add a few drops. Glad to see you made it there and to my other personal favourite Estrella's.
Some corrections imo: Best banh mi - Ba-le Deli and Bakery on Kingsway. Get the fish cake (my fav) or the pork patty one. Best meatball sub - newmans fine foods - made until they sell out. For breakfast sandwich, any Korea egg Sando place. Best fried chicken sando - le coq frit
Oof.. I really like Ba Le buy I might still give my spot the edge Newmans fine foods... well guess I'm adding that to the list 🔥 Le Coq Frit DEFINITELY on my try list Thanks for the recommendations!
what happened to your arm ? I hope you are ok now... AJs for sure is the best... the meatball is amazing but I cant go and not have a slice... also 16 bucks for an egg sandwich?!?!
Broke my wrist playing soccer.. much better now! Tbh most of the sandwiches outside of the banh mi and the Xian pork burger were in the 15-20 dollar price range 😢
starts the video across from Bovine....doesnt grab a Beef Dip or Katsu Sando. All in all for being such a massive city with so many cultures, Vancouver truly is MID for its casual foods.
I'd say our casual food scene is where we excel. It's the high end stuff where we fall a little short. And buffets 😒 why do we have almost no good buffets....
@@stephaneats3944 I am a Chef of 30 years, I would have to disagree on the High End stuff. I feel it is what Vancouver does really well. I am from Ontario and in my opinion the pub food here in Vancouver is disappointing. Most Burger places dont focus on the actual burger, instead they focus on toppings. Pizza places, recently there a few good ones but in Ontario its every single street corner it feels like you can get something better..also not a single place has a Panzerotti. and Wings... dont even get me started...lol. Have to big agree with you on the Buffets. If you ever goto London Ontario check out the Burger place I opened called 'Burger Burger'. Always a good day when Stephan posts a video
Great video .. AJs meatball sub looks on the small side , but will try now since it’s no 1
I thought it was a pretty decent size!

Didn't even cross my mind... that would've been perfect 👌

One of the OGs
Known more for their pastas, Jo's Italian Deli has some great looking sandos... especially the meatball sub, if you needed a future contender.
I've heard good things!
The sandwiches at Beva Brewing in North Van are amazing. Have never dissapointed.
Another one to the list
Try the muffuletta or any of the sandwiches at Nook-only available during the day.
Ooo nice! Maybe I'll do a part 3 🫡
Best Bahn Mi is the Bahn Mi Bar in New Westminster!

Sorry, I do not understand “Crack-On”. Breakfast Sando’s which I can make so I won't line up nor pay $16 for it.
It's a bit pricy but goshdam it was delicious
