Brought tears to my eyes. My mom was on her deathbed with liver cancer. She'd been semi comatose. I'd gone to take care of her business. When I stepped back by her bed, she said, "There's my baby!". She slipped into a deep coma shortly after. That was her last words.
My mom passed last yr, my dad 17 yrs ago. I miss them so much.too. Funny how on days like today, nothing special, I would just really like to talk to them.

I have a 14 year old deer head chihuahua . I take my pup to homes and the elderly love to see my buddy. He’s so gental plus he’s a service pup for me. God Bless all the elderly that made this country what it is or used to be. Some good changes some bad. Some just silly stupid. Looks like he left the other kids, kid or family members or even her friends to take care of mom while he is still out living his hippie or Harley days. What piece of shit just leaves their mothers, without mom caring and taking care of that ass where would you be. My ex had a mother who all the other kids left on her shoulders, they only came around when they needed something. My ex is dead now died on Christmas Day 2020 from Covid, she had copd, her mom had passed from breast cancer two years prior, even when my ex had breast cancer herself and was doing chemotherapy she ran around for her mother, my girlfriend was in her 50s and she had siblings who were in their 30s and 40s they didn’t do shit, so yeah it pisses me off, I love my ex, and I love my own mom, if she was still around no way I would put her in a nursing home, or come to her house to visit weekly, shit I’d probably have her living with me. I told all my kids if you put me in a home don’t come around bc if the tables were turned and god forbids something happened to them I would take care of them myself with around the clock nurse’s. There’s no excuse for putting a parent in a home it doesn’t matter your wealth I know people who have Medicaid food stamps and they have nurses taken care of a loved one in their home. it’s split between 2 nurse’s during the week mornings/evenings and one nurse who comes and stays on the weekends. No excuse I don’t even care if he has ptsd from nam, shit I was diagnosed with that, depression,anxiety, and borderline personality disorder. Doesn’t matter.

This made me cry. I took care of my Mother in law through Alzheimer's, and at one point, she had not known me for several years. She was like a 2-year-old. Only recognized her own name and no one else's. She lost her balance. I caught her and held her like you would a toddler. For a split second, something connected, and she whispered "Wendy" in my ear. In that one word, I hear I love you and thank you. So this kinda hit me.
There is nothing like a mother's hug. It feels like a worm blanket on a cold winter night. don't take them for granted, I would give anything to do that one more time.
4 months since I lost my father (the best father to me and my siblings). I could never have imagined the pain of grief, that I feel. I miss him more and more everyday.

I can relate I was abandoned at the age of five years old and was raised in an orphanage until I aged out without a mother and a father I can remember crying for gosh it seemed like forever but then one day I just quit crying and I didn't wonder anymore and I went on with my life I had two daughters five grandchildren 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, and I'm so loved they called me Gigi

I went back east to see my mother in law with my husband and everyone kept telling us Mom was not remembering much anymore. When Johnny walked into the hospital and approached his Mom she said "You came, I've missed you. I love you John." That's all I needed to hear. Tears flowed like a river. Just like Joey and his Mom. It's amazing to see age in both of them, and yet that mother son bond is still the same. They both have silver hair, wrinkles, the crows feet from years of laughter, experience, and everything in between....and yet they are frozen in time by their loving relationship. Most amazing thing ever.

A wonderous moment when both hearts fill with joy when his Mom recognizes him as "her Joey ". I went back east to see my mother in law with my husband and everyone kept telling us Mom was not remembering much anymore. When Johnny walked into the hospital and approached his Mom she said "You came, I've missed you. I love you John." That's all I needed to hear. Tears flowed like a river. Just like Joey and his Mom. God bless them.

It's amazing to see age in both of them, and yet that mother son bond is still the same. They both have silver hair, wrinkles, the crows feet from years of laughter, experience, and everything in between....and yet they are frozen in time by their loving relationship. Most amazing thing ever.
God knows for how long he hasn't visit his mom. Always be grateful and take care of the people who gave you life and took care of you when you were little.
