Shout out to Kate for being persistent. It was so refreshing to finally see a character not give up on love and just stop trying even when the person they loved didn't want to be with them. She was super respectful, always professional, and caring towards Lucy. Never acted petty or belittled her feelings. She definitely fucked up by still having a girlfriend then dating Lucy but she owned up to it, didn't minimize, and owned her mistake. What a superwoman.

Kate use to kinda think that things will be understood, that this fizzle out or things will be accepted if someone weigh the circumstances with reason. While Lucy is good in reasoning and making people understand reason. I love their banter, the angst it played our heart. Sometimes things aren't that simple as we thought to be. That Kacy is as complicated as it looks like that sincere simple apology for the hurt feeling isn't complicated but hard to make.
Uufff... this Kacy interraction is so emotional but still funny somehow if you rewatch it over and over again 😆 Yes, Lucy... you take the lead, as always. Whatever that means... haha.

Kate tried to reach out to explain her side and probably to apologize but Lucy always shuts her off because she doesn't want to deal with difficult conversation. Let's just hope that what Kate thought that once she apologizes, their relationship will really be over, is not gonna happen..depends to Lucy if she wants to move forward or start over...

Watching s1 to s2, I now understand Lucy’s pain. Based on their 1st meeting, the 3 days and 2 nights interactions, plus the on and off dates after s1 episode 7, Lucy had been so clear and obvious that she wanted to be in a relationship with Kate. Unfortunately, Kate is not good at reciprocating Lucy’s affection. At work, Kate walked in as if she didn’t know Lucy, won’t look at her and acted as if nothing’s going on between them. Still, Lucy stayed and compromised because she likes and cared about Kate. Then, suddenly found out about Cara on her own. All those times that they were together Kate didn’t mention anything about past relationships because she’s too private and guarded. After all that trouble, it took a long time for Kate to apologize. She may have owned it as her fault but Lucy is a woman, she needs to hear the words “I’m sorry” and “I love you” at least let Lucy know that you wanted her so bad. So when Kate said “I love you” at the s1 finale and Lucy didn’t let her finish because those 3 words is all what Lucy have been longing And waiting to hear.
maybe if Whistler has apologized sooner, Lucy might have forgiven her sooner

This scene is loaded! Everything Lucy said was the truth. But to be fair, Kate just never got the chance to apologize because Lucy bolted every time she saw Kate.
I dont like the reasoning behind why they made Kate not apologize. Aplogizing was the right thing to do and was the first step if the two of them are ever going to go forward together.

I think it’s she really never had much field or work. Like she probably spent very little time in the field and then just went straight to doing work in an office because she’s good at finding things and leading teams.

Damn, why is it so important for Lucy that Kate apologizes to her? Why is she so attached to this apology? And why should Kate apologize at all? Does she owe her something? Were they in an official relationship or what? Well, they slept together a couple of times and what? As far as I remember, no one promised anything to anyone. And Lucy behaves as if they have already been dating officially for 5 years and a week later they had a wedding scheduled. Lucy is behaving like a kindergarten of some kind! And Kate has to put up with all this, run errands for Lucy, constantly explain and justify herself! Lucy behaves like a moody, jealous teenager.
