I have much respect for tribute to a master, done with respect, precision, and competence. This hits all those points. Expertly executed, thus great respect for the artist(s) involved.
What would be really impressive is if Yanni himself were to weigh in and say something like "These guys did an acceptable job." I will personally say they did an expert job. But that's me.

Choosing a good repertoire is more than half-way to a great concert. Thanks for performing Yanni, specially this music. Would you please consider adding "Mirage" by Jean-Luc Ponty, and/or "Brazilian Like" by Petrucciani?
Perhaps you like many of the world, could see imitation, as the highest form of flattery. The fact this guy loves this song (way more than I do, to have re-arranged it and put it to different instruments and with a whole band) and plays it in such a good, unique, and well-done manner, is plenty in my book to know that he probably has _tons_ of other great original songs, but he simply wants to give homage to one of music's greats!
