Easy to take off. Spray a little Goo gone at the top of the letters. Let it soak for about 5 minutes down into the 2 sided foam tape, then use dental floss carefully. As you work it back and forth and down, make sure to pull slightly towards you so the floss is contacting the back of the Emblem and not the surface of the paint itself. After the emblem is off, spray a little more goo gone onto what ever adhesive tape remains. Once it is off, use a little bit of dish soap in a bottle of water to wash off the goo gone.

I own a Mazda 626 Sedan in Prestige Silver Metallic colour, 1990 model ... bought brand new in Melbourne, Australia as a gift from my father for my 18th birthday. He paid $ 32,000 Australian dollars for it back then! It's now 32 years old, has done 500,000 kilometres (310,000 miles) and l continue to drive it daily. Has never failed me. Unbelievable car. I cannot part with it. My first and so far, only car ...!! It still looks like new and has always been outside for its entire 32 years, so far. People cant believe it! Yesterday l purchased the 2022 Mazda 3. I am keepng my 626 and will never part with it and intend to drive both cars.
I waited and waited for the mazda 3 to get the 2.5 turbo engine. It finally is getting it, but then for some reason Mazda decided to offer the the manual trans only in the NON turbo car. REALLY? Dont you think the people willing to spend the extra money for performance would want the performance transmission?? Stupid. No mazda 3 for me.
Wish they would match the 2.5T with the Manual but still nice. Thinking about getting a 2022 model and you were like the only one with the 6 Speed manual of this car lol, thanks for making the vid 👍
I want to like this car but I just can't. And I am currently driving a 2006 Mazda3 sedan 5sp 2.0L that I bought new! I still love dring my 06 sedan because it is fun and practical. This is just too much money to accept for a compromised rear seat with no head room and small cargo area, among a few other things that are sacrificed. If it were below $25k, sure I could accept the compromises but not at this price point. Why oh why... did they not offer the manual in the sedan? And I hear the new 2.5L turbo motor will not be offered with a manual in any trim or model?!?
This is the type of detail I'd expect getting going to a dealership - sadly most of these salespeople today just want the quick sale and know nothing about the cars.
I love the look of this car, it's different and rides so smooth. I got this Mazda3 Hatchback Premium 6-sp manual in black about 3 weeks ago, and I've rarely seen it on the road. Coming from a 18 Civic (CVT, yuck!), it was either wait for the 22 Civic SI or this car. Besides the better HP the SI offers, this Mazda3 has the safety features and luxury similar to a Benz/BMW. Thanks for your reviews Joe, they really helped me throughout the process.

I bought the outgoing 2018 sport edition hatch stick shift for $16000 in early Jan. 2019. It was ashamed that both the 2.0L engine was no longer available and the premium version was required for stick shift in 2019. I've watched a few reviews for this generation of Mazda 3 and the headroom in the back seats is typically mentioned. Few things in life are perfect though so overall it's a great looking car and one I would consider in the future!
Good looking car but the only thing I don’t like is how that rear window door looks like after all everything is good I wonder what’s better this corolla civic or golf?
Manual transmission always feel quicker but you would really have to hammer the gears to beat the computer! The good thing is the manual usually saves you 1000 dollars at purchase and if you don’t abuse the clutch the manual will probably last a long time without major issues.
I have owned 3 manual transmission cars in my lifetime and put hundreds of thousands of miles on them and never had any transmission issues! It's the way to go, especially with compacts and sports cars.
If you need to hammer gears in in manual it means you don't know how to properly use manual gear box. Not trying to be mean, I am originaly from poor part of Europe where automatic was to expensive and by default manual was the only choice in cars so we learned how to use it :). Just go to youtube for proper tutorial. Btw manual is cheaper on fuel when you know how to use it and is fun but boy ow boy you will miss the automatic when one of your leg will brake and you will end up in cascet like I did (3 months of sad life when you can't drive) :D
This manual transmission version saves you about 300 lbs over the turbo AWD model! That’s significant. And makes for a more playful, lively and fun-to-drive car. That’s why I’d opt for this version.
In this sized car, who sits in the back? If I'm playing chauffeur, it's in my Ridgeline, not my 3. Keep spending the money in and around the driver's seat, please. This is a driver's car.
Maybe someday, but the so far the turbo AWD is manual only. This usually wouldn’t be a problem for me, but the Mazda 6 speed auto in these aren’t great. We’ll see how it handles all that torque.
@@Asrg Man, I love my car. The aesthetic both exterior and interior is flawless. The horsepower is enough to zip in and out of traffic. There is something to be said for getting exactly what you want. This is the first car where that is the case for me.
Initially I thought it was a dumb idea, but you are spot on. My previous cars had cup holders between the arm rest and the shifter. This makes so much sense, and reaching forward is much easier than reaching down beside you. I do wish the USB port wasn't directly above the driver cup, though. They would have done well to move it over above the passenger's. I use the one inside the armrest just so I don't have anything plugged into the dash.
The AWD model is basically just a heavier FWD, until you get in snow. So even in Canada with snow 5 months of the year, it’s still not worth the worse fuel economy, no manual, higher maintenance costs, or more weight IMO. I would rather RWD than anything else honestly
@@jamiegarth3146 Did you even try the AWD in the snow? You can drift all day long with the systems disabled. I had 2 and I am getting the Turbo next week!
@@groovymotion5706 I haven’t driven it in the snow but I heard it handles well in it. Just with the higher costs and weight, I would rather have a WRX or GTI in manual. If I liked automatic, I think the Mazda 3 Turbo would probably your best bet like you’re getting
@@jamiegarth3146 Yes, the 6-spd auto is a bit laggy but it's still nice to shift in manual mode with the paddles. Being able to drive sideways all day long in a small hatch and with now a turbo it's priceless!
It is 6.9 in the hatch. It is quick. I can be there just like that - 60 mph - in 2nd gear. In soul red I better start saving up for speeding tickets...
Correct. You are out of 1st in barely over a second (6,500 rpm comes so fast), and 2nd gear takes you to 60. The beauty is they have it geared so you can get 40mpg cruising down the highway, quiet motor noise (low rpms) but still accelerate up our Washington state mountain passes in 6th. Pulls the steepest hill in our area (McNeil Canyon Rd - 14 percent grade) in 5th, and that is one steep hill. It has the best gearing of any manual I've ever owned, and that's all I've driven for 50 years.
They almost had me, although l would never buy new, just can't pay $30k for an econobox even if it includes genuine soft vinyl interior lol, but would consider it a good potential used car after 2 or 3 years once the price drops by about $10k. But then he mentioned the Torture Beam Suspension. l've had several vehicles with the Torture Beam including one of my current vehicles and yeah ain't gonna do that again. The lateral rocking motion is like a daily reminder cost cutting sacrifices that were made in the design state and l gotta say.. at $30k there's just no way that should come with Torture Beam. Other than that, l do think they went in the right direction with the exterior styling versus the previous design. For this segment and size, l would much rather they spare me the soft vinyl interior, a more basic but tasteful interior will do just fine, but give me a fully independent suspension and price it around $23k, then you'd be talking a competitive as well as competent offering.
It is SO nice to have. I never look down at the dash. All warnings are on windshield, speed limit, cruise speed. You can even set how many MPH above speed limit you want to be warned. Works nice picking up on those speed traps.
If you fellas want some power wait for the Mazdaspeed3/MPS version that will hopefully come out next year. Unfortunatley no manual announced at the moment...
It is not a Mazdaspped nor MPS version it is simply a turbocharged version of the current model. Knowing the product offering before you comment is probably a good idea.
Just bought Corolla 6MT sedan for 22. A lot of car for the $, and props out to Costco Auto program< it works. Hate to admit though, but my 02bugeye WRX wagon was more fun. Though 300k miles later I'm gonna be happy with the reliability.

Hard to say but going on almost 400 thousand on a old short crank 1.8L BP no ticking no oil burning 5 speed car from Hiroshima Japan I believe vacuum actuated idle valve that costs and arm and a leg but work's for 400000 miles haha rare cars... 90s
The car is indeed beautiful and high quality, but there is one thing that bothers it: the new shape of the steering wheel. The leather coating is high quality, but the profile of the steering wheel is flattened and not round (not "tubular") as before, and therefore not comfortable in any position of the hand, but in a very specific position. The uncomfortable grip makes driving uneasy. It is a great pity that they abandoned the "universal", rounded shape, which is suitable for any driver and in any position.
Just saw this on the road in red n it's no doubt one of the best lookin cars out there. Striking in person. Only problem is that backseat is way too cramped. Wish the body was a tad bigger...

I'm currently 19 years old I own a 2000 2012 model 3 Sedan with a 5 speed And for my next vehicle when I actually go to buy a brand new vehicle this is the exact speck that I am looking for I would like to get it with the 2.5 Turbo However this is an absolutely beautiful car they are well done I still prefer the look of my Gen. Too however I think these are absolutely gorgeous. My current one has a 147000 miles and I do not want to give it up it is such a amazing car to drive and it's nice to see that they have not lost their touch. My local Mazda dealership will be getting a new customer within the next few years. And still a good sound
I just bought this, even though I'm just learning manual on it I've been getting 30 in the city and 40 on the highway.
Impressive. Good info.
So sad they don’t make it with the other trim levels
Tell me about it Shaun!
My first car was a 1989 Mazda 323 hatch back SE.....5 speed manual!!! I went off roading!! In the mud through a corn field through and across a creek!!.......and she never died on me!! LoL 😂 I'm 41 years old but this was back in the late 90s and early 2000s!!....... ahhhhhhh the good old days!!....with that being said I would buy a new Mazda 3 hands down!!! And bring me back to my youth.
You are 25 seconds in and you mention stick/manual all I can say
WOOHOO 😊
U the MAN JOE! u got the Manual! Always wanted to see a review with the Manuel....thanks joe😊
My RVC in 2020 Mazda 3 also shows direction lines. Also front camera and lateral cameras show yellow lines according to the steering wheel position.
Love the 3 , look forward for the turbo ! Mazda’s one of the Few that still offers the stick with All the options... a must for me ! Thanks
I totally agree with you Terry!
Looks like a mini station wagon, love it. But Americans have a severe allergy to station wagons, so.....
Isn't cross-trek essentially a wagon? that is selling like hotcakes
Shush
Maybe like a mini crossover that got flattened?
@@andgainingspeed so a station wagon?
@@khailils446 Sure. And that is not a bad thing, but I prefer the sedan's look.
Just bought the 2022 version of this car with a Black leather interior for my son to drive at school. He was driving my 2011 Miata MX-5 and just had to have another manual trans. Just a fun little car to drive and the features are outstanding. #SaveTheManuals
Mazda is a great car company same as Toyota. I will go for either Toyota or Mazda depends on the car I prefer. Mazda for Miata, Toyota for crossover/SUV RAV4 or Harrier!!
I bought one yesterday for commuting, but this car drives and feels way too nice! definitely wasn't expecting this from mazda. definitely stepped up there game
Congrats! I am so happy to hear!
@@RaitisRides Thanks for being the only Video I actually found on the new 2021 mazda 3 hatch with the 6 speed manual. I got a beautiful pearl white with the red interior. I almost don't even want to use it for work...lol
@@00Marez00 Hey man how's the Mazda 3 HB with the 6mt been treating you? Any regrets?
@DubYOUUP The car was great, I had it for about 1 year and drove it daily. My commute was 1 hour each way through beautiful back country roads along the river. The car was a real dream to drive. Never gave me any problems. I changed jobs and no longer needed to commute and the wife needed a bigger car. We upgraded it to a cx-9, which has also been a great car. We are thinking off getting the new cx-90 as well... who new, mazda has great cars at reasonable prices.
physical interior!!! amazing! i hate touch screens so much. good job, mazda!!! everyone should remove touch screens from cars
I just bought this trim in the same color. Great car, with plenty of nice technology and rides great. Oh and it looks great too.
Congrats! That is really awesome!
Hey, I'm looking to lease with 0 down and pay taxes and fees upfront. How much could I be looking at down here in NYC? Never thought I'd like Mazda lol but this one is clean!
8:12...please note that there are different variations w/ regard to back-up camera options. Some have 360° camera view feature which utilizes and take advantage of the bigger/wider screen.
Thank you for that info!
Nice color. Row those gears Joe!
Heck yeah man!
Really love the look of these. Very Italian to my eyes. Wish they would make a high powered version.
The turbo will be 250hp 320tq awd but only automatic.
Why zonk a hood prop? They don't break (unless you do something stupid) and they don't cost a fortune to replace. Hydraulic lifters fail all the time, especially in the cold.
I bought the outgoing 2018 sport edition hatch stick shift for $16000 in early Jan. 2019. It was ashamed that both the 2.0L engine was no longer available and the premium version was required for stick shift in 2019.
I am very happy with my 2L stick shift averaging 39mpg in 25,000 miles driven gently.
I am about to buy a new car...almost all the 3 Hatchbacks are gone in this whole highly populated area. Found one that has manual which after owning a very fun to drive miata for the last 3 years I was going to go manual but you made me change my mind.
Plus, I told the guy on the phone that I really didn't need the Premium trim and most I would buy it for was $24,500. With MSRP of $29,400 I knew he'd say no....but he didnt. Quite the contrary! So if everything goes well Ill be getting the premium trim with the red leather for $24,500 in about 5 days
How did you find one at that price? How far away is the car from where you live? Im deciding what car to get the a 2021 Civic Hatchback or this one
@@MrChickenspit They lied to me. So did the next ones. So, I bought a Select model today, Machine Gray Metallic for $25,700 Out the Door. Best deal possible in the DFW area. Cos the Selects are all gone. Premiums here I was quoted $29,100 BEFORE everything else so itll be $32,500 or $33,000 by the end. There are some offering the 2.5 S base model for $24k plus so $27k out the door. Mazda may not sell hatchback anymroe
I've watched a few reviews for this generation of Mazda 3 and the headroom in the back seats is typically mentioned. Few things in life are perfect though so overall it's a great looking car and one I would consider in the future!
could you do a POV with headcam mazda 3 showing the rear view visibilty as theres none on youtube ...
I have a manual Mazda 3 2017 hatch and the design on the new model is outstanding! I think I am ready to trade in my old one and get this new model.
Good looking car but the only thing I don’t like is how that rear window door looks like after all everything is good I wonder what’s better this corolla civic or golf?
Mazda civic hatch?
Machine grey with red/black & 6speed manual is exactly what I bought and I LOVE it!!
Let’s be fair - they’ve used materials a s nice design to create a premium interior. 👍🏻 just the rear is a bit of a let down.
You are so very right about that!
I disagree. I seriously think the rear and quarter panel, redesign is the best attribute of this car.
Michael Z I agree. I left another comment about that.
The rear is sick! You probably like your 97’ Corolla better
@@stevenf5902 Don’t let me delay you getting back to your Pontiac Aztek
Mazda makes luxurious cars 😳😳😳love it
Manual transmission always feel quicker but you would really have to hammer the gears to beat the computer!
That’s why I’d opt for this version.
we want 3.0L sky-g inline 6 engine
Can’t decide whether or want this hatch or the sedan but I’m leaning towards one of these for my first manual car.
Given that the 2.5 Turbo models are going to be in $30-$35k range, I would hope at least those models add rear air vents/USB
AGREED!
got a 2015 m3 HB and was looking at the 21 may wait on the 22 to see if they add it still only at 40k miles or so
In this sized car, who sits in the back? If I'm playing chauffeur, it's in my Ridgeline, not my 3. Keep spending the money in and around the driver's seat, please. This is a driver's car.
I hope we can get the 2.5 turbo with a 6-speed manual
Maybe someday, but the so far the turbo AWD is manual only. This usually wouldn’t be a problem for me, but the Mazda 6 speed auto in these aren’t great. We’ll see how it handles all that torque.
@@marcusmcneal7453 I think you meant comes in turbo AWD automatic only. Not manual
I can't wait for the Turbo to come out!
Just got my 6-speed manual in soul red crystal metallic. Only one in Houston.
That is so wonderful to hear! Congrats!
How do you feel about it so far?
@@Asrg Man, I love my car. The aesthetic both exterior and interior is flawless. The horsepower is enough to zip in and out of traffic. There is something to be said for getting exactly what you want. This is the first car where that is the case for me.
@@parnpichate That’s awesome! Hearing that excites me to find one in white! Sadly there aren’t many other colors besides Gray here, in Houston lol.
@@Asrg Yeah checked like 50 mile radius and its slim pickings for manuals.
The good thing of having the drink holders ahead of the stick shift is that you won't hit your drinks with your arm when shifting
Great review Joe but one thing that I might have missed, the manual is FWD only. Once you go AWD you never go back! 😀
Did he say 6.9secs 0-60 and 15.4 for the 1/4 mile? That seems a little too good to be true. I might put this one on the list..
It has the best gearing of any manual I've ever owned, and that's all I've driven for 50 years.
the front headlights kinda remind me of a dodge dart
I can see it.
Really? I can basically see no resemblance.
nope
i hit bombs what drugs are you on 😂 I honestly see no resemblance whatsoever. Like at all. Anywhere 😂
@@7homas0wen Idk i just totally see it lol.
I love how this guy tells it like it is and doesnt sugar coat shit, i really like his point of view on things
My biggest problem is the price. You end up paying a premium for the stick since it's not offered on lower trims.
This car had such beautiful lines, it could pass as an Alfa Romeo
It’s 2024 and this is still the best thing going boys, 0% APR right now. Buy one of these before they’re gone forever.
You didn't mention the Active Driving Display (HUD) :(
cpayret 81 does it come with one?
@@JBbenantiYes, and it is amazing in this version because it reflects on the windshield and is adjustable, ruclips.net/video/zjiqCD9inxg/видео.html
It is SO nice to have. I never look down at the dash. All warnings are on windshield, speed limit, cruise speed. You can even set how many MPH above speed limit you want to be warned. Works nice picking up on those speed traps.
Beautiful car but inside and out but I'm going to have to agree on zonking the lack of rear-AC vents or USB chargers
Only thing i don't like about this is that it does not have a traditional emergency/parking brake. And maybe the crap rear visibility.
I bought my new Subaru Impreza 5 Door, Manual Transmission this past April for 19K OTD.... That includes AWD

Love this 3. This car will be badass with a turbo too. Also, the CX-30 is going to be a freaking beast with the addition of the turbo. With that, I heard the CX-30 will be the fastest in the segment too. Oh, I have an '18 6 with a manual. Car has been flawless.
Hard to say but going on almost 400 thousand on a old short crank 1.8L BP no ticking no oil burning 5 speed car from Hiroshima Japan I believe vacuum actuated idle valve that costs and arm and a leg but work's for 400000 miles haha rare cars... 90s
Been threw a few timing belts but still rides... Haha
This Mazda3 hatch looks great. I am considering getting one myself. Manual of course
Only complaint i have is size. Im more of a mazda 6 hatch type of guy
I wish those were able in the uSA.
AWD = more to maintain and not needed on the street . Otherwise nice interior , and love Mazda as a brand . Thanks for this detailed look Raiti !
Tried the GS manual this week and i didn't like the clutch at all. Tried the Elantra Sport the same day and it was a totally other experience.
Do you think the new Mazda 3 cars will be able to last 200k/300k miles like the Toyota Corolla's?
With proper maintenance yes.
@@RaitisRides Wow really? I guess Toyota's and Mazda's partnership will pay off. I never heard of a Mazda lasting that long. Thanks
