It doesn't matter how you prepare your food, the test is the goal. Meanwhile, we have soft and hard chicken over here in Europe. That is soft chicken in the video. Boiling all the ingredients at the same time dont seem right because different ingredients have different cook time i.e. different times they are thoroughly and well cooked. The chicken should have been spiced and steamed first for sometime before adding every other ingredient to make the onepot dish cos it is a raw meat that hasn't gone through any precooking methods like smoking, grilling or drying in hot sun like we do with fish sometimes. Things can get tricky if not cooked well enough

Actually what Scanty doesn't know is with the yam porridge, the steaming of the meat added to the preparation of the yam, adds flavor to the yam as well with the stock produced from the steaming, that's why it is cooked together
