Ty my fellow guyanese man n wife may hod continues to bless you and your family with strength courage and the means to do such good work. Its sad that ppl have to live in poverty, very sad. We here in AMERICA dont need half the shits we accumulates on a daily basis, this is happening all over the world sir, just so sad to see the government is not doing anything for these ppl. I left guyana 1984 and goes back sometimes I do my part with helping the orphanage n friend n family. You bring me to tears. Sir. I pray for you and your family. God bless you. So sad,
Just love your caring and good work, and 'fun' videos. Working on a collection for you to continue the distribution of food to the needy. Enjoyed the wedding house clip last nite. 'Puddicombs" Canada & the "Garibas" North Carolina -USA
Bless up for what you're doing, Great, My woman just return from Africa, she said if she get money she would go and hand out to the youths in the streets, I said no, Not in every case a fishhook is better than a fish but most cases it is, WE from The ABC countries are aware of certain thing that are VISIBLE to us but not to some in Guyana So Some of those things can be a FISHHOOK instead of a fish, the Government too Needs to assists citizens in micro-farming , A smart farmer will never go hungry, A few chickens, Tomato, Eddoes , pumpkin , spinach, Kerila , Eggplant, cassava , Bora, Ochroes and certain vegetables takes 6 weeks to produce, Just my 2 cents, Haven't been home since 91, What i miss is no Georgetown or Grove but Friendship where our farm was Nostalgia .
Good night Denny how are you what you are doing is very good you went in that place that road is so bad some people are badly off ! Thanks for the video bless Christmas to you and your family
Hey brother, u are doing a great job and Thankyou for being an inspiration to me. U are making a difference in this world. Act of kindness.. how can I get hold of u? I’m guyanese but live in the USA.. would love to meet up with u in guyana and perhaps donate some more stuff..
That is so touching to watch. I am from Canada and see what we have here compared to there my god it's heartbreaking. I would love to help out. Let me know what I can do to work with you to help out some of these families. Thank you for the effort and time to help these families. Merry Christmas.
Firstly I must commend you and your family for the good work you are doing and bringing awareness to some of the challenges some families are facing in Guyana...But on your journey there I saw many wonderful housing and development too even in Meten Meer Zorg where there is also shacks. We all have a responsibility to help the unfortunate but they also have to be responsible for developing themselves as their neighbours are doing. The gentleman Mike said in the video...some people needs to use the resource to help themselves..and that is coming from a guy who is living there. So maybe we need to teach how to fish rather give them a fish.Don't get me wrong I am for helping anyone but also not to blame the country for not doing anything for them. From the video I can see fairly good houses around that piece of land that have the shacks....and there is lands around the houses that is overgrown with bushes that could be use for a little kitchen garden or livestock.I wish you all the best in your quest for helping the less fortunate..God bless.
Hi Denny and family blessing as always I'm home as I have said here doing my bit too we thank God for the blessings to us so that we can bless some one else.
Thanks for doing your part. I am guessing if someone is choosing to visit a fine dining establishment s/he could afford to help those in need. The question is whether that choice will be made.
We lived the very same way in Leguan, living off free fruits , catching fish , crabs and live a very happy life. No electricity , no TV but very successful at Exams. So what is the difference. Beats me.
Great example....of humanity.... ...season greetings to you and your family....God zegen from me an my family..here in Suriname.... strength . .peace an joy to u guys
Great video and great act of kindness again and again. God bless you and your family and all those people you help and the many that still needs help. Your kindness is contagious without you knowing it. Peace be with you my brother.
Do you have any contacts within the government or dept of housing? It’s great that you are shining a light on this. That said, shining a light doesn’t make much of a difference unless we can affect change for the better for those residents.
That snacket is the spot , you are doing a beautiful thing brother. I am thinking of having a fun raising for these people. I will try reaching out to you .
Thanks for sharing these videos with us!...very kind of you for doing what you're doing. I would love to do the same one day with my own hands as well!...as it makes you feel good giving to people in need and especially when they show appreciations. I must say though that growing up in Guyana, I never remember seeing people living in conditions like that...no matter how poor they were, they used to get up early, clean their surroundings, take care of their kitchen gardens and live stocks...chickens and still lives a healthy lifestyle. These people definitely need some help from people showing them how they can benefit from that wealthy land of theirs so they can make living much more better than that and how blessed they are to be living in a country like our beautiful Guyana...as Guyana has so much to offer...PLEASE MAKE FULL USE AND BENEFITS AS IT'S NOT LATE to start NOW...
I enjoy yur video, Bros ,as for Guyana as a Nation, if only the Leaders will work with genuineness of hearts and do away with corruption The land and his citizens will live great.

we dont have food banks i hope the people in authority can set up one soon. i dont want to include governments and politics in my vlogs thats why i dont make certain comments. we have a serious issue with race and politics that is dividing Guyanese especially at election time which is due in 10 weeks so i try to keep my platform free from politics and dont make any statement about government
@@ITSOURLIFEARD I'm just responding to all the people who are asking why aren't the government involved? My thing is we shouldn't be sitting waiting on others to make changes, we should just do our part. Lorna Johnson if we all look out for each other then the world would be a better place. But for the love of money and power one would do the unthinkable.. do your part in helping me change the world to better the life of one person at a time
I've just watched your video, and I can only say that you and your family are truly wonderful people, but it makes me wonder what programs if any, that the Guyana government has for improving the lives of its citizens. It is appalling that a country like Guyana, with enormous natural resources, has never used them for the advantage of the welfare of the country and its citizens. I feel most of the politicians are only interested in the spoils of office, and the advantages that come with it!! I lived in Singapore for many years, which only has people as its resources, but it's impressive to see what its government has accomplished, and today many Singaporeans enjoy a good standard of living. It's one of the wealthiest countries in the world! Why couldn't Guyana achieve the same? Now with its oil discovery, it is going to be interesting to see how this new found wealth will be dealt with. I truly hope for the sake of the country and its citizens that there will be better days ahead. I would like to wish you and your family a joyous and peaceful christmas, and a healthy and successful new year.
It truly does hurt to see how these people live. You are doing what you can as a citizen to be of some assistance and to show your viewers why they too should do whatever they can to help these forsaken people. It is very commendable what you and your family are doing. You have earned my admiration. I am going to say something about the big picture of this issue. The majority of the countries in the world have a grave and urgent problem with the substantial numbers of people who live below the threshold of poverty. Guyana is one of them. At this level of human survival, these people struggle on a daily basis to just to get whatever they can to be able to feed themselves. We are all aware that this should not be so. Wherever these people are located it is a certainty that by their birthright they are entitled to benefits of the resources of their homeland. There are people in these pockets of poverty who , as Michael said, can improve their lives by their own efforts and with proper orientation. I agree but they comprise a relatively small number among the tens or maybe hundreds of thousands, in the case of Guyana, who are found in the hot spots of poverty in urban and suburban areas of cities and townships, Georgetown, New Amsterdam, Bartica, Linden and Lethem are a few. Not to mention many rural areas all over the country. I strongly believe that solutions to the challenges of abject poverty in Guyana are not beyond the capabilities of the more fortunate citizens within the government and in the private sector of society. I'm sure they are blessed with the vision and talent to design, create and put in practice viable and efficient solutions to reverse these persons' lives of no dignity into communities not only of hope but more importantly prosperity. My own conviction is that people who are living in conditions of the negligence of the State should be especially privileged in receiving the primary and initial financial benefits that are to be had from the petroleum and gas production enterprise. However, I am daunted that this will not happen, either as an ideal or as to the empathy of those who detain the power to do so. God forgive them and bless people like you, your family and those who take you up on your suggestion to give a helping hand. All the best.
Well done to your good work..Region 3 are being neglected big time . This current .Government only focus on the areas who supported him at large .THIS IS BAD ,UTTERLY BAD INTENTIONS..THANKS FOR SHOWCASING THIS VIDEO ,ALTHOUGH NOT INTENTIONAL DURING YOUR VISIT TO HELP.
Thank you for your humanity in responding to this situation. May I ask one favor? Can we begin, as a nation, to refer to people who have much less as underserved instead of “poor”. The connotation is that they’re poor humans - poor in values etc., when it may all be circumstantial. Their wealth might be in how they’re raising their children despite the circumstances. The term underserved also places some responsibility on our government, who have an obligation to provide basic infrastructure, like roads. Proper roads allow people access to travel outside their boundaries to seek opportunities and people to travel in to do business. They already seem to be blessed to have the fishing industry as a means to an end. The need might indeed be education, but have they been taught to respect and use their resources to uplift their communities? Has the government given them the tools - psychological, physical, medical, and financial - to understand their value? Give them fish and they will eat for a day, TEACH them how to fish and they will eat for a lifetime. In other words, work with the government to help this underserved community to install roads, and prepare the land around them so that they can use their access to water to farm to improve their outlook. Ask the government to plant trees and designate land for community gardens to start. Yes, they may need Christmas baskets today and that is very truly appreciated, but what you have given them is more than that. You have given the world exposure to their circumstances and hopefully lead to the impetus for various ministries to actually do their part to BUILD up the community and others like it. This will not only help Maylene and her family, it will create a sense of community that we ALL can be proud of. Thank you again for doing your part to recognize that wealth is not about how much you have it’s about how you use what you have to add value to your community, which will in turn enhance your family and also encourage those around you to work together using your collective resources to help ALL. Thanks again and Happy Holidays!!🎄🙏🏼
I grewup on the west coast,Metem Meer Zorg and I know that lady. Her name is Maylene and she used to give me cornrows when I was 8 or 9yrs old becuse my step Mom couldn't braid.God bless you for doing this.

Thank you Very very much brother
Yes I used to live that way too in Guyana
