    I've never had a bad experience with this park since I started coming here in 2010. Amazingly I like this park more than the ones at Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando more.

    I went to Seaworld Orlando on a spring break Sunday in April and I was still to get on each major coaster besides Manta and JTA multiple times with minimal waits within a few hours. Manta's wait did get up to 70 minutes but that mainly due to the coaster's very slow operations. I have a Seaworld San Diego platinum pass which I believe is the cheapest pass besides Seaworld San Antonio. I loved that I still got free preferred parking at the park as well as discounts on meals. Overall I did love the park. Beautiful park with vibrant colors everywhere under the Florida sunshine. Hope to get back soon.

    This review nails it. I haven't been since February 2022. Couple things: 1) paddle boats by Mako finale are worthwhile with a great view if you can avoid the hottest part of the day. 2) I start the day with Kraken marathon until I get kicked off by arriving crowds, then Mako marathon, then everything else, then Manta in afternoon after the crowds have moved on from the front of the park. This park is my #1 in Florida because the quality rides per hour ratio is unmatched. A dark ride would be great here, but 60-90 minutes in that underwater restaurant by Mako totally rejuvenates you on a hot day. I can't believe they let us buy San Antonio platinum pass to access Orlando. One of the last great free lunches out there.

      I'm surprised the platinum pass loophole still works.

    I haven’t been to Universal yet, but as of now, this is ever so slightly my favorite park in Florida. I slightly prefer it to BGT because Iron Gwazi was closed for me last year, and Mako was amazing, but I wouldn’t be surprised to BGT overtake it after I hopefully get on Iron Gwazi this summer

    I really like Sea World. They need to build a dark ride or two, but it's a great park for groups with people who aren't into thrill rides. They aren't waiting too long on the thrill junkies with the short waits, and there are a lot of shows, exhibits, and other entertainment to enjoy. I'm not exactly happy about the stand up announcement, but maybe it'll turn out alright. A dark ride or two (Sesame Street seems like a no brainer) and a proper mid thrill level family coaster would really round out the lineup.

    • @CanobieCoaster

      I agree a dark ride would help immensely, especially when storms roll in.

    The last time I visited this park was when they first announced Kraken. Now it’s pretty much a B&M show room. I love B&M but keep sleeping on this park whenever I visit Orlando. Excellent review, btw. I’m definitely going to keep your recommendations in mind the next time I (hopefully) visit

    I’ve been to all the major parks in Florida, and I put this second. Mako is so good, the food is great, the lines are short, and the shows are awesome. This is over BGT, mainly because the food lines at BGT were terrible.

    When I visited about 2 months ago, I also visited Busch Gardens Tampa on a single 2-park ticket. Maybe it was the off-season, it was $89/for a 2-day visit, one day at each park! What a fantastic deal. I also visited Universal, but that was more than double the price and crowds. This value proposition of SeaWorld + Busch Gardens was great, especially factoring in the lines. Surprisingly this combo was the best deal of all the parks I visited in the Southeast USA.

  • @jfoster1993

    I used to love this park as a kid (10+ years ago) but my visit last month was disappointing. I loved Mako and as there was very little queue I got around 10 rides. But Kraken was pretty rough, and I was unlucky that Manta re-opened from maintenance days later. But the main thing was the staff and the SBNO attractions on weekdays.
    I went with my young nieces and the majority of rides for them were closed, only 2 of the Sesame Street rides ran. The ride crews were great (especially Mako) but the staff in shops and restaurants were super slow and disinterested. Also we didn't realise that balloons aren't allowed into the park, and before we could say anything the security guard pulled a pocket knife & cut free the Disney balloons we had bought the day before, which we would've happily ran back to the car instead.
    Totally different experience at Busch Gardens where every kids ride was open on a weekday and staff interactions were all good. SeaWorld just felt a bit neglected in comparison.

    Sea World Orlando is by far the best Sea World Sea World Park. The lines for everything was a walk on when I went and I went over spring brake which is insane. The collection may not be super big but everything you can enjoy. Mako is overated in my opinion but I much prefer Ice Breaker. Kraken ha ok intensity but is still a smoot hB&M for everyone to enjoy. And Matna is such a good flyer. Journey always has those longest lines but I don't ride it much anyways. Still a great place if you want to hop on something.

    I would definitely go to seaworld next time I'm in Orlando. Last time I went to Orlando, I did universal and the wizarding world areas are great, but the lines are insane. 30 minutes waiting to get a butter beer, 2.5 hours for the hagrid rollercoaster ride. To me, no ride in the world is worth waiting more than an hour for AT MOST. Also what is missing here is a cost comparison between SeaWorld and universal or disney. Even as a Florida resident getting a steep discount, Universal was expensive. A flash pass is a must, and i think that at a 50 percent discount it was something like $300 per person for a single day with the ticket + flash pass. For out of state that's $600 for a single person for one day? That's way too expensive

    I did get to visit this park at its best in 2011, and it would've easily been my # 1 park then. Downgrades in the shows would follow, but the heart of the park is still there, and 2 great coasters have been added. It's still among my favorite parks. I never visit around summer, since the year round operations make it the perfect place to visit when schools are in session, with most of my days on weekdays for the shortest lines. The downside is that Kraken has sometimes been closed for me on a weekday here and there, just because of low demand for that ride on a slow day, and Atlantis is usually closed from New Years into March.
    I have seen Manta with short or no waits quite often, but that's probably because of when I go. It's not super quick operations, but much faster than I've seen with any other flyer. With Mako, I have multiple videos of the train dispatching while the other one is dropping under the lift, looking like they're colliding, so you are so right about how great those operations are.

    We get free admission here working at universal and it awesome to just pop in from time to time. The layout is annoying, but you get used to it. The food is amazing, especially during festivals. This stems back from the Busch days when the chain used to win best food awards. I didn’t even know Antarctica was closed lol. The ride portion was always terrible, but the exhibit is great. Wild Artic I used to only ride for one reason, and that’s to laugh at unknowing first time riders reactions for how insanely rough it was. One part in particular. During howl o scream though, “beneath the ice” was the headlining maze and held in the wild artic que. i remember going before blackfish and it used to be packed quite a bit, so if people still want to stay away, fine with me. Lol I love this park. They also have the best Xmas event in Orlando.

  • @ThemeParkAvenue

    I haven't been here in a while, but I feel that this park just doesn't stack up against Busch Gardens Tampa in terms of rides or animals. Also, the layout is quite frustrating. That said, it's visually great and I enjoy it.

    • @floridamaddogg

      I go to Sea World and BGT about equal amount, with the slight edge going to Sea World. While you are correct, the ride lineup doesn't stack up against BGT, it's really not as far behind as you think especially after the surf coaster opens in 2023. The shows, kids area, and all the interactions of animals like Sea lions and peguins are superior over BGT. But I love both of them and consider both as my homepark.

    This Orlando park holds its in quality and attendance. It actually pulls in more people annually than Knott's Berry Farm. I mention this because it too, is a year round park. I agree that a dark ride or two would round it out. I suspect the reason not more flat rides is because it's a cheap cliche' of what you find @ the other 2-3-4 parks. Zamperla is very well represented. There are enough other unique things like penguins, sharks & hammy dolphins LOL! Nice selfie with penguin. Are the tours during park hrs. or before park opens? I did Magic of our steam trains tour WDW. It's before the park opens, but extends past by 30 mins. It's really cool going back to roundhouse. I think I got to blow the whistle.

I also went at opening 9 am one day and nothing was open but Manta. Their website also had incorrect hours for the weekends, said it closed at 10pm when in fact it closed at 9pm. • @zacg_
    @zacg_ 2 года назад

    I love this park. It's a park where the line between "theming", landscaping, and exhibits is blurred so it's really hard to comment on the theming specifically but it's unquestionable that the park just looks fantastic. While it doesn't have as many exhibits at BGT, I like the exhibits better. And I'm not offended by the shows so I enjoy them very well. The rides aren't extensive in number but the quality is high and as you mention the lines are short. I personally slightly prefer this over BGT but it's more because of the exhibits. If you just look at rides BGT has the edge.
    My main complaint is the food. It can be good but it's a bit of a mixed bag if you ask me. And I tend to get better value at Disney and Universal than at SWO and that shouldn't ever be said.

      @zacg_ 2 года назад

      @@CanobieCoaster I wouldn't say I've had bad food at SWO. It's just that in my opinion it's overpriced for what it is, even by theme park standards. You can get a full meal at Disney or Universal for an adult in a fast food location for $15. At SWO it seems to always be $25 for a meal. And while their sit down options are good, they are somewhat limited compared to their Orlando counterparts. And even within the chain I'd take BGW ahead of SWO for quality and quantity any day. But maybe I just haven't found the best eateries in the park yet.
