@danielmukaddas1784 I appreciate your analysis on this matter. However, let's examine it further: 1. Regarding the initial payment of N10,000,000, while the topic is valid, it's essential to note that if the individuals were given a deadline to fulfill this obligation and failed to do so, they have no one to blame but themselves. As Mr. Lere pointed out, paying N10m for a C of O for a land that hasn't been officially allocated is questionable. Moreover, they were informed to provide documentation on the organization they made the payment to. 2. Unless documents and dates of payment for the new company ownership are provided for transparency, it's reasonable to assume that all payments were made in full for the new owners to receive the necessary documents. Given the circumstances, it would be unwise for the new buyers not to make payments promptly, considering the loophole presented. 3. The FCTA and any other third-party stakeholders were under no obligation to inform the current occupants, who defaulted on the initial offer. As a result, they had no right to expect notification.

Sad that we tend to dance around issues in Nigeria most of the time without confronting the basic or fundamental problem. Was the land acquired legally by the Ogbebor's estate? What documents does the estate have regarding the land property?
Thank you Arise Tv for bringing Mr Olalere. It is good we are hearing from both sides. My concern is the 10m paid. What will happen to that money? Or is it gone?
The issue with most people that are involved in land matters in the FCT. ..that people don't know was there was a time land documents were forged. A lot of fake documents were issued and the AGIES staffs are also involved. T the 10m might have been paid to a wrong person in sub head account and the fund withdrawn by an individual.
@@patrickezeji@patrickezeji Did she mention that the money was paid to the right account? Even now, she only said they are willing to pay to tell you she's used to using money to influence some ministry officials, but not with Wike Wike.
We said, explained minister. They have been illegally occupying that land and renting it out for 40 years. That’s pure criminality. Good the rightful owners, the government took back their land
I dislike it when these people make reference to civilized countries when they want to defend their evil. But they never remember civilized countries have constant electricity and other basic amenities. Shame on Nigeria politicians.
The question we should be asking is, how was the company able to utilise the land for 30 years on a temporary CofO. She must have used her influence but this time, their influence didn’t work with this Minister. I don’t sympathise with her. All she did was weep up sentiments on Arise TV.
Nigerians...we ask for good governance but we do not want them to do their job...WIKE should be the president and so many idiots will be put in their places...i am in support of the FCT minister as long as he is doing all these within legal content
I said in my earlier comment on this matter that a second party should be invited. I am really glad that Arise has just done that through the invitation of Mr. Let's Olayinka spokes person for FCT minister. Hearing from both parties i think any rational and objective mind should have a fair idea of the matter. Here is my conclusion: Both parties are guilty it's a case of "Ole gbe Ole gba" Paulosa grab it illegally now Wike collected it back and gave it to his friend also by act of illegality and corruption. This clearly shows that we are just bunch of opportunists who capitalize on our position and privilege to acquire things for ourselves mostly in corrupt manners. It's a pity i sympathetize with none. Let it be said that tomorrow another person will come and revoke the same land from Wike's friend then the cycle goes on without end. That's why i say we Nigerians are the problems of Nigeria both the leaders and the led.
There is what is called adverse possession in real estate law. If there is improvement on a land by a Tennant and the landlord refused to challenge the tenant for a period of years ,that property becomes the tenant property.
Every government has killed and still killing Nigeria. FCT government is at fault here. How can you wait for over 40 years to revoke ownership of land. I know someone that never paid land use charges for over 30 years in Lagos state. The government officials take money every year from owner of these houses. Corruption is everywhere.
Nigeria! Terrible citizens, terrible leaders. As much as Wike may likely allocate the land to their cronies in what may be a land grabbing operation, Paulosa grabbed the land irregularly. The land should not belong to Paulosa in 1st place. It is their likes that shared Abuja amongst themselves in the 1st first place.

Your family occupied land illegally for 40 years. You built many houses on it and collected rents from Tenants for those years. You were now given an option to buy Abuja land for a mere N60m, but yet your family did not pay fully. Yet you come on TV to whip up sentiments, saying Niger Delta oil was used to build Abuja, and that your husband served the country. Sense of entitlement..😊
In those days.. People where just collecting Land in Abuja without Federal Government Approval.. The Military guys were just collecting those land without approval
What is wrong about it? He brought documents to back up his claims. It was a temporary rights of occupancy that was given to Paulosa comp. in 1984 and was offered first right of refusal, by asking them to pay to regularized their occupancy on the 1st of Feb. 2023, which they didn’t do. So, who is in the wrong? They should approach the minister to beg, since Chief Mrs Lori, is influential and knows some people, maybe he will listen. That’s the only solution for now, not by blackmailing and crying wolf. If she approaches the court, she will lose.
This man bombed the studio and left them speechless. Oseni jumped in and was bombed out. Social media support cant save your land better start packing.
Why dem nor pay for how many years why pay now ? They should leave Wike alone ohh, this Wike P.A knows what he is saying. How can you live in a land that is not allocated to you ? We dey live Nigeria with man know man life
I guess Arise has interest in this land: 1. They couldn't see what's wrong in the Paulosa acts. 2. The notice was served over 20 months ago and you people still want to hold FCDA for their inactions. 3. Rufai question was pathetic to me. He always asked of empirical facts but he kept on beating around the Bush. 4. Can't just rationalize the guts, you disregarded govt notice but you want govt to carry along in decisions on the matter. how? 5. Rufai, fall my hands with those questions 💯 his emotions got better of him.
It's interesting Emperor Wike's SSA is based in Port Harcourt while, he is the FCT Minister in Abuja. Why did Wike allocate the said land to his business associate.
Mr. Olayinka is utterly disrespectful and full of himself. Ruffai didn't allow him flaunt his ridiculous mouth. Reminiscent of many arrogant Nigerian elders.
In Nigeria, whenever issues are raised, instead of looking at the facts of the matter, people firstly begin to take sides on grounds of ethnicity, religion and whether or not you like individual involved. That is why we are too backward as a nation.
Frankly speaking, both the embattled family and previous FCT ministers are to be blamed, just both were taken advantage of the corrupt system. Why was it that the family couldn't take advantage of the offer to regularize the ownership of the land since 20 months ago? I believe there should be a proper way of regularizing an ownership of land before contesting ownership. No sentimental or emotional claims make right the wrong.
Government officials from developed society also considered the plight of their citizens. I am glad that your guest mentioned that government has written to her in 2023 to regularize her late husband’s property to conform to government guidelines. Which means that government recognizes her husband’s possession of the property. The question is, why not allow her to complete the paperwork process as required by government regulations? And why threatening to blatantly seize her husband’s property and reallocate it to someone else. Because it is unfair to use government instruments to oppress citizens, and in this case the widow. Therefore, the government should not deliberately frustrate her from regularizing the paperwork of her husband’s estate. Especially, if this is the actual intention of the government. Simply invite her to your office and assist her to obtain the necessary documents. Instead of allowing the old lady to cry in front the world through this channel which highlighted her plight. Because of frustration and sadness based on government extreme use of power. However, based on the guest comments it seems to me that Mr Wike applied favoritism to try and snatch the property away from the widow. Including arbitrarily increasing the cost of regularizing the paperwork for her late husband’s estate. Simply to frustrate her out of the property. This is very wrong and requires condemnation.
If someone has been occuping a property for a longest while they have opportunity to regularizing the place to become their permanent property. That is how it happens here in guyana. I worked in building dept and I know what am saying..... We refer to such place as squatting area
He was very fluent but all of a sudden started stutoring when Chief Judge Rufai started asking direct probing questions. There is no way you can defend the indefensible and not look stupid.
For what, telling lies …. Since the land has already been allocated to Chinda, when then does the FCTA want to demolish the properties on the land? Is it not chinda who is suppose to take all necessary steps to enforce his rights over the land ? Wike is obviously an interested party. Lere is coming on air to justify criminality.
No matter how long possession is, it cannot translate to title. Length of occupation of land may be a defence to an action. It is usually pleaded as a shield and not a sword.
After listening to this man without any sentiments after 20 months of offer to pay i think Wike is right. The land has been in use for 42 yearsb generating revenue for Col Ogbebor. The land is a prime land the 67M is peanut. Ogbebor should have paid up if they want the land. Please enough of this intimidation. Wike has done well. If we want a good nation the rules must be followed. Who Wike allocated the land to after revocation is not anybodys business. I am not a fan of Wike but on this matter he is right. Enough of this show of impunity by powerful Nigerians. Good job Wike
@@kpodudu4501Where is the evidence? Because, he allocated it to a Rivers man. The issue here is that, does FCT has the right to revoke the occupancy? Absolutely YES! And it was done the right way, who gets the land after, does not matter. It’s just to whip up sentiments.
Just as Buhari made the Fulani race to be hated in his term in government. The BAT is doing same to the highly esteemed yoruba race, It is a shame to hear the emilokans speak. Military and well meaning Nigerians including Mr president should intervene on this matter and others properties that is been demolished by so called wike
This so-called Dr. Abati, the man continues to amaze me with his reasoning. How is brandishing and shuffling papers constitute legal documents of land ownership? What is the law in Nigeria regarding land ownership, including lengthy years (40 years) of physical possession of an illegal land parcel? Dr. Abati cannot think or ask the right questions every time. Issues like this cannot be resolved by sentiments. Madame present land ownership documents please. SMH.

However, from Mr Lere's response it's seems Polosa has made this payment before 10 October, that letter only came because the new company got wind of the legal battle and simply paid the money.@@ezekieladaralegbe8771
Sad that we tend to dance around issues in Nigeria most of the time without confronting the basic or fundamental problem. Was the land acquired legally by the Ogbebor's estate? What documents does the estate have regarding the land property?
Where was FCTA when they was Building estate in first place ?
See Olayinka stammering. Oseni's question unsettled him. See him trying to take the focus over the real issue on ground.
Seun needs to learn questioning from these guys. Respect Rufai !
This Rufai is too wicked😂. How will you ignite a full grown smooth talking man on fire and he started to stammer and his sight suddenly blurry.
I wonder oooooo
@@ekoidowu3511 go to arise news night with Charles and you will see

Thank you Arise Tv for bringing Mr Olalere. It is good we are hearing from both sides. My concern is the 10m paid. What will happen to that money? Or is it gone?
Paid influence, but didn't work.
The issue with most people that are involved in land matters in the FCT. ..that people don't know was there was a time land documents were forged. A lot of fake documents were issued and the AGIES staffs are also involved. T the 10m might have been paid to a wrong person in sub head account and the fund withdrawn by an individual.

We said, explained minister. They have been illegally occupying that land and renting it out for 40 years. That’s pure criminality. Good the rightful owners, the government took back their land
Land revoked today, allocated to another person tomorrow. Who is the real land grabber here?
Karma is loading for wicked Wike
Is University admission the same as land? Why is he constantly drawing a parallel?
17.48 mins he starts to stutter and cannot see very well again.
Because he is stutter. Abati and Ayo's questions were well spelled out, but Rufai wanted to trigger him. Stutters by nature are prone to anger.
😂😂😂
Allow the Ogbebors to regularise the land , there are houses on the land, and they have been on the land for about 40yrs.
Rufai is the Nigerian GOAT of journalism! Lere should be ashamed of himself.
Olayinka is begging Rufai... because he is confused, afraid not to say yes. Age my foot
I dislike it when these people make reference to civilized countries when they want to defend their evil.
But they never remember civilized countries have constant electricity and other basic amenities. Shame on Nigeria politicians.
It is even more ironic when it comes from those who are to make the country "sane".
The question we should be asking is, how was the company able to utilise the land for 30 years on a temporary CofO. She must have used her influence but this time, their influence didn’t work with this Minister. I don’t sympathise with her. All she did was weep up sentiments on Arise TV.
U beta go borrow sence
How come Wike reallocates the land to himself? We know that you are wike's associate!
Simple and clear ! Offer was given to you for 20months but you think you can play around it ! We just like to play Victim!
You are running to meet your sense, but your sense is far far ahead of you that you cannot meet up.
Do you think that Rt Hon Chida company has paid one naira on the land by wike
Nigerians...we ask for good governance but we do not want them to do their job...WIKE should be the president and so many idiots will be put in their places...i am in support of the FCT minister as long as he is doing all these within legal content
If you can't see conflict of interest in all these then you are part of the problems.
Lere Olayinka, if you were not in government, can you afford #60m within a short while to regularize your property? Is Wike the owner of Abuja?
Arise please give Rufai a programme to anchor personally.
The arise news has done well, please wike is doing the right thing too
Senior colleague, I salute sir😃.From my own perspective, I think we need reforms even in the land ministry! Too much corruption chai!
A junior colleague interrogating so-called senior colleague. Baba was just struggling to give an answer to Rufai.
Thank you Rufai good job!
Senior colleague is confused and stammering. O Nigeria my country
It’s obvious that land was not gotten in the right way by Paul Osa
By the time this administration is over, Tinubu family and Wike will be the biggest land and property owners in Abuja. Watch and see
People complain about corruption in Nigeria forgetting that we are all one way or the other a partaker in this corruption, any government that try to take action will be condemned because no how you fight corruption that it won't affect us either directly or emotionally. To me someone will have to be used as an example to remind us all of our mistakes so I think the government is doing the right things and should be allowed to do their job, it does not matter if you like them or not. Anyways people will always complain no matter what you do
Is Wike not corrupt? How come he reallocates those lands to himself?
Imagine with trash who more currtp than Wike 😊
Are you sure that you have listened to the story? So Wike is fighting corruption by revoking Paulosa's land and allocated same to himself? I suspect you are a crony of Wike
If this is what it means to be a media adviser/spokesperson, I'd rather be an MC Oluomo in peace.
"Senior colleague" my foot!!!
In those days.. People where just collecting Land in Abuja without Federal Government Approval..
The Military guys were just collecting those land without approval
Olayinka is smart to know that what he is saying is wrong but he has no gut to admit it
What is wrong about it?
We dey live Nigeria with man know man life
Wickedness in High Places ... They have sold the land to their political friends and now want to justify their evil actions. SAD !
I guess Arise has interest in this land:
If you dont pay council tax in the west for 20months . Na foreclosure go be your gain
Thank you. This arguement is silly.
It’s just funny ….. once they go against the law deliberately they play Victim .
Yes o, tell them. A whole 20 months?
Frankly speaking, both the embattled family and previous FCT ministers are to be blamed, just both were taken advantage of the corrupt system.
Why was it that the family couldn't take advantage of the offer to regularize the ownership of the land since 20 months ago?
I believe there should be a proper way of regularizing an ownership of land before contesting ownership. No sentimental or emotional claims make right the wrong.
Very good question Ayo.
Did you even watch the video...they made an offer...they didn't comply. Is that the way it is in Guyana? lol
He was very fluent but all of a sudden started stutoring when Chief Judge Rufai started asking direct probing questions.
There is no way you can defend the indefensible and not look stupid.
Thank you mr lere
For what, telling lies …. Since the land has already been allocated to Chinda, when then does the FCTA want to demolish the properties on the land? Is it not chinda who is suppose to take all necessary steps to enforce his rights over the land ? Wike is obviously an interested party. Lere is coming on air to justify criminality.
Nigeria has entered one-chanced bus with this current set of leaders.
No matter how long possession is, it cannot translate to title. Length of occupation of land may be a defence to an
action. It is usually pleaded as a shield and not a sword.
It is sad that educated people encourage injustice. Why did Wike transfer the ownership of land his company?
You can all see, what’s going on .
when the woman called Kemi in the UK speaks the truth about Nigeria, you guys will say she’s not patriotic🤔
God bless you👍👍👍 All I saw was pure emotional blackmail.
Good job Wike? What about the allocation of the land to a company allegedly owned by Wike ?
@@kpodudu4501Where is the evidence? Because, he allocated it to a Rivers man.
The issue here is that, does FCT has the right to revoke the occupancy? Absolutely YES! And it was done the right way, who gets the land after, does not matter. It’s just to whip up sentiments.
Just as Buhari made the Fulani race to be hated in his term in government.
The BAT is doing same to the highly esteemed yoruba race,
It is a shame to hear the emilokans speak.
One day the Igbos will reign in our leadership, i bet the useless duos that support these criminality will find a voice to speak then about one Nigeria.
Respect to all true Nigerians who speak truth for Nigeria, irrespective of ethnicity.
Was a timeline to pay clearly stated on the offer letter given to Paulosa? If yes and timeframe was exceeded then FCT reserves the right to revoke that land and issue to somebody else. In this instance, Wike is right. No sentiments please.
Meaning you are the one who informed the minister about the land.
God really blessed Rufai Oseni with wisdom
Rufai, your senior is speaking and always be moderate while talking to your guest.
SMH.
You can't build something on nothing. Even if you stay on the land illegally for 100 years. You are still an illegal occupier
Why didn't the government contact the company since 1984 to tell them on what to do and process
Why is that all this people who have anything against the government always go to Arise TV? Someone should also tell Rufai that it wrong and rude to address guest as "You Guys". Courtesy should be given to any guest no matter his age.

Paulosa to shld have paid the money. It is still this idea of "im untouchable", "nothing will happen" characteristic of the high and mighty in Nigeria.
Now that someone is saying no untouchable again, it becomes obvious in Nigeria that "some" rich people can also cry in Nigeria.
