Just a quick thank you for this video. I got totally hung up at the border yesterday. Last time I did my hop and was back in CR in a couple hours. Not this time! I especially appreciate the info on the bus ticket requirement. I was worried I was getting scammed. Like you, I had my car right over the border. But I bought it and the guy never even looked at it! Yes it does! It doesn't matter to what country you travel, as long as you leave Costa Rica. The lenthg of your new visa will depend on the person behind the counter. Even with a 3 month travel plan, I have had it happen to me that they didn't give me the full 9O days. They are the ones that can decide that. But in general, if your well prepared and have everything they ask for, they usually give you 3 months. Just be sure to check your passport stamp to see the amount of days. Hope that helps!
Hola, did you have to fill out the "Affidavit of Health of Passengers to Enter Panama" like you would if you fly in? Is it worth doing it in advance or do they require it at all?
Hola Tina, I did not fly into Panama, so I am not sure of the form you are talking about, but the only form we needed to fill out when entering Panama is a covid related form that they give yoy on the spot. It requires you to fill out your personal information and information about vaccinations and testing. So just bring a pen and you will be fine. To enter bakc into Costa Rica you would need the online health pass filled out in advance. Hope that helps! Pura Vida! Debby

Hey! You're welcome :).. You should be able to take a test at the border to enter Panama, but we chose to do it ahead of time so we do not have experience with that. I have seen a booth there, but the day we crossed back in it wasn't there. Now, it might have still been possible, so I am not sure. The reason we chose to do it a couple days before leaving is because we didn't want to take the risk of testing positive and making the trip to the border for nothing (as there also is the chance of a false positive). But obviously I don't know about your situation. So it should be possible, but I cannot confirm it for you. Good luck with your border run!
Hi! it all depends on the insurance company and deductible you choose. We went with Trawick this time and a $5000 deductible and paid about $50 each for 90 days. When you lower the deductible you pay more. So it depends on what you are comfortable with. Hope that helps!
@@dantechersi6056 you do what is best for you. I've taken vaccines JUST to go visit India, Asia, all the vaccines when we were kids and I'm still alive and well. Hope you don;t get sick and end up having to take other meds and lots of them, cause you know they are poison right?
