Because when the truck came stock it was diffing out onto one rear wheel and couldn’t power slide without spinning on itself very easily. Making the diffs a bit thicker helps the truck put the power down and stops the diffs flipping the car up erratically.
Changed the front as well trying to get a balance but then went to 30 on front to make it a similar ratio to the X-Maxx. Has definitely stopped it rolling over now.
Rolling due to diffing out I mean. But it still diffs out a little at super high revs but it’s much better. Could harden up the front in the future a little but happy at the mo with it.
Top work bro 👍🏻
like the truck, good video work thanks
Is it better to go thicker or thinner? Mine keeps finding out and causing roll overs. Thanks
Better to go thicker for more even power down.
I noticed you watched the front diff video, check out the later ones as I kept changing it since then to get it even better.
Start with the back as that’s the main issue when stock.
Only 50% refilled?
Why that??
Bought my Maxx 2 weeks ago. Think about some modifications
Apparently the latest Traxxas cars run low filled diffs, it says it in the manuals. When you fill them completely the cars just don’t feel right.
OK, thanks✌️
What is the reason for you changing the diff fluid?

wow it seems to be hard
Worth it though as out of the box the truck isn’t that easy to drive hard.
I thought it came with 50 k stock!
It did, I changed it to 80 a few weeks back and then went back to 50 in the rear.

Take off the gloves...it’s not a real car!
