    Interesting video. The agitator mechanism seems in very good condition as you say.
    Great shame that Servis went under, they made quality machines that were built to last.

    Wow, I had no idea they made twin-tubs with a vertical agitator like a top-loader! I live in the US, so I've never seen a twin-tub in person (and I've actually seen old top-loaders with a wringer/mangle!)

    The heater ought to be switched off before engaging the wash timer control to avoid drawing too much current on the initial start up of the agitator. Sounds like it still has its original Smiths timer.

      It wasn't the miele that's got a duff element but a Panasonic machine ive been working on, it's all sorted now but thanks very much for the kind offer
