Retch has definitley evolved from 2012-2020, but from hearing this and thinking in retrospect, I feel like the pain and everything Retch has been through in that time was not what he saw for his future back in 2012. New shit is still fire of course but it became way more ignorant instead of a more refined version of his older, more unique style like this.... BLESS
His music is like the perfect example of what society does to people, pretty much whatever he feels like, he puts in his music. He often does very calm chill music too now though, so they didn't manage to totally get under his skin.

Im late, but i was fw g music round that time. Retch was a professional shit talker, and he experienced a lot of life at an early age. Aside from the reputation for finessing and being locked up, the nigga is genuinely smart. Like seriously. He was an advanced kid. He was listening to niggas like Roc Marciano around the PSG era, and that shit reflected in the music.
One year later and I feel the same. One of his best songs off of one of his best projects. It’s called Bitches&Bleeps. I’m pretty sure it’s his 2nd project he ever made after The Chayce smh. Some of the smoothest music I ever heard I’m not lying. That’s like 2010-2011 smh shit crazy. Those projects so rare I can’t even find a download. I found each mixtape (about an hour long or more each) in full on RUclips and just downloaded the whole thing as one song lmfao. The music is worth dealing with fast forwarding to your favorite songs but I ha e a feeling you’ll just let it play through on long rides. He fell into the mainstream trap but at least he did it for the money. He really did use to make special music
