Herbert said he knew 5-10 SECONDS before kickoff. That's crazy impressive.
How is the Patrick mahomes comeback more impressive we all know he can do that and we all know he was gonna do that
Because people d ride patrick mahomes he's the next brady just a half breed kermit
Molly didn’t
@@darkestmuta1239 Exactly
Facts lmao, they shouldn’t have been in that position. Ravens are the best team in the AFC. Chiefs aren’t running away with the AFC this year 🤷♂️.
Everyone but the coach apparently who gives the ball back 4th & 1 in OT against the chargers?
As a Chargers fan, I'm just glad we're being talked about 😂😂😂😂
Realist comment on here. BOLT UP!
Fr!!!!!😂😂😂
Faxxxxx 😩⚡️
Exactly! When do you ever hear First Take havd a segment on the Chargers. You hear Cowboys every day during the season and Jerry Jones in the off-season.
BOLT UP! NEW ERA
Anthony Lynn not starting Herbert after this performance is absolutely in line with being the Chargers.
fr. the definition of the chargers 😂
Like Stephen A said, you always ride the momentum and see where it takes you.
Gaurenteed a call comes from the owner and justin herbert is the starter next week.
Being a fan this comment is unfortunately so actuate it hurts
Coming from a Charger fan your right
I love how Ryan Clark only saw Justin herberts worst college game
Is that his fault ?😂
First impressions are everything
@@_The_Journey yes, if you're a professional talking head you're going to jump to conclusions after 1 game?
LAY THE FOUNDATION he’s talking about the only game he seen live in person not the only game in general guy 😂 majority of analysts are not flying out to watch every prospects live game
He never said that. He surely watched other games. The ASU game was the one he was at in person
I have a feeling that Anthony Lynn just said that Tyrod is starting because he doesn’t want the Panthers to know who to prepare for.
I hope so because if Taylor starts there will be alot of pissed of Bolt fans

No its because taylor is in the hospital.
These football names are just hilarious. Lejarious Sneed? 😂

Herbert was impressive and should get the start pretty soon. I like his toughness and his skill set. I think he is ahead of Taylor who is prone to injury and inaccuracy.
anthony gomes I never liked a comparing athletes to mechanized vehicles. I get your point but a good reason not to start Herbert would be to preserve his body. The Chargers aren’t going to win anything this year. That said he will start by week 8 for sure. That would be a good starting point.
For me I seen enough Herbert is your QB going forward.
Chargers look like they struck gold with Herbert. No preseason and he came out and played like that. I'm a Niners fan but I can appreciate a good draft pick when made. Chargers got a bright future if this kid continues on this path.
Not to mention that interception by Herbert, it wasn’t a bad idea, he had a few steps on the defender but he just underthrew it and let it hang too much which allowed the defender to catch up and make a play on the ball.
Justin Herbert a.k.a. Helping Herbert.
Nice touch of levity Max @ 5:22
Plus since 1064, Herbert only Qb in NFL history to have an opening rookie game with a throwing and running TD! Give him the due and the start!
Let’s get real, it wasn’t just the Chargers defense. Herbert put pressure on Mahomes to be great on Sunday. He kept the pressure on the Chiefs with his plays since the first drive.
Herbert really impressed me i didn't expect that much from him he should definitely be the starting QB the 3rd QB is also very talented as well he is a good runner
Justin herbert is fkg awesome and if he is the starting quarterback for the remainder of the season he will be rookie of the year.
W
Any Argument with Qbs, Max will always say Mahomes, even if the argument isn't about Patrick, Max will still find a way to say Mahomes
Chargers discussed on FT once every 5 years 🤣
Max’s shot at SAS was hilarious and not expected 😂
Lynn likes Taylor cause of his time in Buffalo. Trust is there, but I thought I would not see Herbert this year. And now he’s played, he should be starting by the end of the season
Game starts at 1:25
Herbert finds out he’s starting at 1:15 and pulls that type of a performance... HERBERT hands down.
I’m glad people are finally coming out and calling out the chargers decision to have tyrod as a starter hopefully they listen and put Herb in if not then the organization needs to get a new coach
Poor Tyrod Taylor, it’s happened again. At least he is well compensated.
Herbert Needs a dub
Tua needs to play tired of seeing Fitz just waste Tua game reps
Only 4 hours has passed and First take nor Skip and shannon talked about the Steelers being 2-0. People be on Bal and KC nuts hard this year.
Cause u cant talk about them early let 7 games go by n plus steelers are sas team
Let's see 5 years from now if Max has the same opinion. The greats create history.
Also, ppl rlly need to stop saying “Mahomes is the best qb I’ve ever seen” stfu plz. He hasn’t rlly played that much, and he probably has one of the greatest offensive weapons on his team overall. I honestly don’t rlly think there’s been a more stacked offense than this chiefs team, it has like 3-4 future half of famers on there
Herbert got a nice team to start out with, lets see where this goes
The Chargers were expected to get blown out by the Chiefs. Not sure how you can not take that into account when you look at what the rookie did given the circumstances. Could be in for a great rivalry as I expect Mahomes and Herbert to battle it out for years to come.
I'm watching the Raiders Saints game and I noticed something. The weird sound issues when I was watching the Eagles game the other day . Now it dawned on me. They are pumping in fake background noise . At the end of every play a big cheer goes up whistling and screaming. How can that be when there's nobody there? An empty Stadium the only people are the two teams why does it sound like the entire stadium is filled with background noise whistling and cheering. After while it starts to get irritating . It just seems to fake dishonest I don't like it. I have the exact same sound on my PlayStation. That's why I caught it the irritating fake crowd noise that always gets muted.
As a dolphins fan I knew they should’ve taken Herbert he’s a freak 6’6 240 u can’t teach that
I'd like to see him give the ravens a head start lol
If they start herbert they could be crazy good, the ravens couldn’t bring the chiefs in overtime
Tyrod is the QB you sign for your roomie QB to take their spot a few games into the season. See josh Allen, baker mayfield and now this guy...let’s not get carried away saying he arrived when the opposing D Had zero time to prepare for him
Max living in d moment
Not a chargers fan, but in Herbert we trust
Kellerman obviously didn’t watch the game..Mahomes was frustrated and flustered all game until that bomb to Hill
the pressure is now on Tua to perform
Max is hilarious.
So when does Stephen fetchet a Smith going to complain about can Herbert win a playoff game like he did Lamar Jackson?
The weapons made Mahomes we r talking one of the best offenses in the league with any quarterback
Time to fire Anthony Lynn. He's had very talented teams for years and hasn't done anything. Not starting Herbert when he's clearly the better talent/player is giving me Hue Jackson vibes.
Alright, that was funny Max.
I bet Bosa had a different opinion.
Anthony Lynn is only got the charger job because he was the one that would take the least amount of money for the job. Imagine if chargers actually spent money on a good head coach
Chargeeeeers ⚡️
Why does molly only talk when someone else is mid sentence! Let them present their arguments despite what you might think we don’t tune in every day for you. Moderate, don’t interrupt.
The chargers should not have lost this game
Herbert is the real deal!.Bolt Up.⚡⚡⚡ :)
Steven didn't watch a second of that game smh
I hate being that dude. But 90% of his throws were checkdowns...
I agree, but think man, first NFL game, vs the superbowl Champs. Imagine when he has the confidence and freedom to take shots.
You didn't watch the game did you? The throw on 3rd down with Jones in his face that went to Keenan Allen that was double covered? The ability to draw the FS away from Guyton in the corner of the endzone with his eyes and then gun a perfect ball to Guyton for a TD? The roll out run to the endzone on his first drive of his career? Come on man. Give this young kid his credit. You dont average 9.4 yards a throw when 90% of the throws are checkdowns. Check the game tape brodie. This kid is good.
@@hellalyfe very good points bro!! Herbert's looking right! Especially when he's confident to run too, maaaaaannnnnn! ROTY haha

Fans: Justin Herbert is overrated and will be a huge bust in the NFL.
Justin Herbert: Hold my beer.
Anthony Lynn said as long as tyrod taylor is healthy he's the starting quarterback 😒 , herbert commanded the offense better than tyrod did
Nah we won't hold his nasty beer. It's been a couple of games that doesn't make a player good or not a bust. I need him to at least win a ring this year before we get to that point.
He still lacked touch on the ball.
It's one game, but he played well
@@darkestmuta1239 So your scale for a draft bust or draft steal is if they win a SB in their first year? Man, everyone must be busts in the league because its never been done before bud😂🤦♂️
As a Charger fan I'm really happy to see Herbert play the way he did. Our offense was much more explosive and potent with him at the helm. Hopefully coach Lynn is throwing smoke screens and will stay with Herbert.
Yeah I think he's gonna be a fun player to watch and can make them a playoff team
Very true even tho the chiefs didnt play well
@@Raiders-qk8ld Chiefs didn't play well because the Chargers were playing lights out football for 3 quarters. Agreed, I’m hoping Lynn is sticking with Tyrod as a way to motivate and drive Herbert. Herbert is the future! I loved rivers but it’s nice to have a mobile QB lol
We expect that from Mahomes, Justin Herbert was very impressive after finding out your starting 5 minutes before the game vs the Super Bowl champs.
I agree like this is the chiefs!!! And only lost by three pnts he was thrown in
Exactly! You can't be more impressed by an MVP that we all know is capable of making a comeback like that
True
Justin Herbert. I'm also a life long Chief's fan.
Same, he was great yesterday
Max nut hugs Mahomes til he can’t anymore. He’s such a hype beast. Although Mahomes is good, but Max has a habit of riding the hottest players coattails while disrespecting hall of famers who’ve paved the way for the younger talent
He just jumps on the hype train
Max is a groupie what do you expect. He's also a major culture vulture and tries too hard to fit in. Football and basketball are black sports so it should only be talked about with black people
DarkestMuta123 the award for the dumbest comment here goes to this dude.
Mahomes is great not good that’s the difference
@@darkestmuta1239 Jesus man.. You're just a factory for horrible takes aren't you😂 foh
Food for thought, in his debut as a starter, Mahomes went 22/35 with 284 yards and an interception.
Herbert went 22/33 with 311 yards and an interception. Big time parallels.
not that deep, but lets just hope herberts performance wasnt a fluke
Pat got the w
It’s crazy how they don’t mention mahomes threw 47 times to get those yards and only completely on 27 of them.
But they sure show Herbert's 22/33
22/33 it's not bad.
Reporter: Who are you starting?
Anthony Lynn: Yes.
All these rookie qbs playing and Tua still sitting bruh
🤔
Fitzmagic putting in work 😂😂
Dolphins O line isn’t ready for tua yet
They tanked for Tua. Now they're tanking for Trevor. Tua and Trevor gonna share the starting spot next year. Dolphins gonna go 9-7
Fitzpatrick always starts the season red hot. He'll be benched by midseason
I'm a die-hard Chargers fan and although Im happy to see a bright future in Herbert, we shouldve won this game flat out from the start. Our defense looks fantastic at first, but needs to toughen up to stay in and finish the job completely. Bosa sat out on that crucial last min drive by the Chiefs which we NEEDED him and our open coverage right down the middle needs to be emphasized more. I can't blame Kenneth Murray since hes a fantastic rook too and did his best, just want more emphasis on the middle so we don't blow easy leads or let QB's run easily to get the 1st.
Besides that, In Herbert I trust.
facts! We're paying Bosa big money, needs to play hard every drive that matters.
from die hard chargers fan to another, are we gonna see chargers win a superbowl in our life times? I always wonder that... super chokers strike again. It's a love-hate relationship.
well said. BOLT UP
@@sdfishinn Yup, Lynn is doing his 'old boy network' coaching. Rewards the players he likes, not the ones that's deserving. (ex. Melvin Gordon over Eckler last year. And not firing ST coach Stewart).

@Iker Vita and the Chargers o-line is elite??? 🤣
Sometimes the way max praises an athlete (kawhi zion and mahomes) makes you want to root againist them despite their clear talent and greatness. How he phrases his takes just get on my nerves sometimes
*slurp slurp*
Yeah man max is crazy when he...
*gulp slurp*
Sucks those athletes off
fr, they act like coming back from a 11 point defecate that they were expected to win was way more impressive than it was
I couldn't agree more
Keep sleeping on the Justin Herbert, dudes the real deal!!!
Patrick Mahomes: (breathes)
Max Kellerman: “Uerggheg omg he’s the best ever”
Him and Nick Wright would have his baby
Such a classic Chargers game. Snatch defeat from the hands of victory.
Herbert was more impressive for me. I mean, Mahomes had pretty poor game in his standards to get to the point to need the comeback. And even at the end he didn't win the game with a touchdown, his attack was stopped so far, his kicker needed to sink 58 yard fg to win the game. And his final stats were not impressive in his standards. His self confidence and ability to be calm when losing by double digits is impressive, but even that's something we've seen in more important games, against more experienced opponents than Herbert.
The fact that Herbert was not only debutant but he was considered to be a guy who deeded at least a year to be NFL ready and the guy found out minutes before the second game of his rookie season that ge was starting against the Superbowl champions anf he outgained Patrick Mahomes in terms of yards, that's really impressive.
If your not delusional then you shouldn’t expect 400 yds and 6 td passes a game from him. He had a rough start in this one like all they other great QBs in their career and AGAIN came back.
@@connorbradby765 I'm not expecting 400 yards and 6 td's and I'm not bashing him for that performance. All I said is that what he did is less impressive from him than what Herbert did was for Herbert. Expectations are different for these guys. Especially when it's the first game for Herbert.
Misha Gelenava : I understand
As an Die Hard Oregon fan...I’m going Justin...DUHHHH
FGs in the redzone will lose you games.
Ask the Falcons about that
Had they called a penalty for taking helmet off celebration against chiefs in 4th qtr , the 2 pt conv attempt would have been back 15 yards … no overtime. Mahomes is legit superstar. Herberts start as a rookie was exciting and impressive.
Herbert looked like an nfl qb. His issue will be his decision making. Took a bad sack one possession when he could’ve thrown the underneath route and then threw an across the body pick when he had a clean outlet to run for the first. Those two mistakes kept the chiefs offense in it and Mahomes eventually executed in the fourth and overtime. However KC could’ve moved the ball a bit better offensively early on if they would’ve chilled on featuring Tyreek hill and instead went to Kelce more.
"We seen other quarterbacks like that" yeah we have seen other quarterbacks knowing their first start right before kickoff, playing Great against the defending champs, and playing against the best Quarterback in the league and outplaying for 3/4 of the game. I have seen this many times
“i was on edge” mannnnnn molly should shut up
You must not like women because she’s beautiful
😭😭😭😭 I came to the comments just for this smh
Michael S L That’s why I’m hear too😀 I’m waiting to see someone mention Molly was on edge because (fill in the blanks).
Not gonna mention how Mahomes was trash the first half. I get it the comeback was awesome but if ur part of the reason ur down you can’t use this game as evidence he is “the greatest qb ever”
You can use the fact hes 3 seasons in with a super bowl mvp and regular season mvp though....
Ex- Men : What QB has been perfect ? Lol he keeps showing why he’s the best in the league besides Wilson.
Connor Bradby no doubt Mahomes is super talented and has a bunch of potential, but 2 seasons ain’t enough. We have to see how he performs with the salary cap crunch that about to come when he doesn’t have two number 1 receivers and the best tight end in the game.
@@vpm3660 do Peyton manning whole career outside of Denver should be thrown out by your standards. Seeing as he played with 2 how caliber wrs and a great tight end
ham burglar that’s a fair point, but Peyton also had poor defense, o line wasn’t the greatest, and what made him special was his ability to make mediocre players fantastic - remember Austin collie.
Look, Patrick Mahomes has been fantastic, and maybe if u want to say he has had the best two years starting in the NFL, I would prob give him that, but I just think when someone like Max says he is already the best player ever is stupid (to be fair he is prob just doing it for views)
I’m confused. The consensus was that Herbert was a terrible pick. Oh everyone was wrong? Weird
Max - gtfo lol
SAS get Roger's thang out cha mouth dude because we've NEVER seen a quarterback like Mahomes before 🤥
I like that the Chargers wanted Herbert to sit and learn for a while, idk why the NFL has completely stopped doing that. Everyone judges these young/rookie QBs without wondering why they never learned how to play in the NFL. At this point though if they wanna win this season they probably need to go with Herbert.
Duck fans knew Herbert had this in him. Oregon's OC didn't do Herbert any favors preparing him for the NFL. Herbert is only going to get better and has a high ceiling. Yes the Chargers are 1-3 but JH has been impressive in the 3 games he has played. Anthony Lynn needs to open up the playbook and let Herbert make mistakes and let him grow. The Chargers have nothing to lose this season.
i cant take max serious anymore after his clipper admiration and complete failure..😂😂😂😂
This man Justin Herbert went toe to toe with the super bowl champs and Tyrod Taylor struggled against the Cincinnati BENGALS had to punt the ball/ turnover on downs 8 times and Anthony Lynn wants tyrod as the starter 😂
Anthony Lynn is stupid to put tyrod in
I see both sides, but favor one.
Play Justin and let a backup, back up. Lynn is putting Tyrod in to audition for other teams. He wants Justin to watch and observe from the sidelines. But I don't feel comfortable watching a scrub play QB when I'm better. What is Tyrod showing Justin? How to play bad in the NFL. Coach Lynn needs to put in Justin against the Panthers, they won't have McCaffrey. The Chargers DEF will have a field day and Justin will get a W if he plays like he did yesterday.
Galatians 5:16 agreed
all i hear from them talking about patrick mahomes is GAWKGAWKGAWK like get off your knees
"one of his worst games"
Mahomes: 302 yards 2 tds
Stanfam 20 incompletions
And despite that, its true. The only game I thought he was worse in was the Colts game last year without Tyreek Hill and Mahomes was still injured.
His floor is most guys ceiling. Pure Greatness.

I never said he played bad... this was one of his worst games he plays THAT great
definitely a horrible game for us CHiefs fans
Mahomes is next level and that is from me as Packer fan. Btw this Herbert fellow played a real good game, hats off.
Kellerman nobody's comparing Herbert to Mahomes, they're just saying he did good
Ryan Clark underrated get this fool his own tv show
what’s most impressive is the fact that he found out minutes before. for him to have a solid debut like that while barely practicing with the starters...hats off to him
If you put Russ on the Chiefs he’ll look just like Mahomes imo
But better
And would lose to the Arizona Cardinals. Put Mahomes with the Saints
I think Mahomes, Rodgers, and Russ are in the same category. Put them on each others teams and I believe the results are about the same. Mahomes puts up better numbers because of his offense and the talent.
WESTBROOK
Dem Lord you’re kidding right? WestBRICK is complete garbage. Dude barks too much. I guarantee he will never get a ring.
Why everytime Taylor gets injured the rookie QBs goes dumby like baker and Herbert😂
I’m a chiefs fan but that game Herbert played better than Mahomes that game

Russell Wilson’s the best quarterback in the league
Weezy Wilson 🧢
Pat better

Don’t be giving Andy Reed credit for Mahome’s success. He is NO WHERE NEAR the league of Belichick or Walsh.
