    Mainstream coverage of Florida has become so lazy. UF plays a tough schedule every year. If you’re just going to hyper focus on their schedule every year as a reason why they won’t do well you might as well not even talk about them.

      Na not like this. Our schedule has never been this crazy especially with Texas entering into the SEC now. Not to mention we damn near have a losing season every other year. So you couple that with our schedule along with what we have coming in in recruiting truly makes for a great convo.

      Urban was very public about how hard the pressure cooker of Gainesville was on him. Coaches wives were being harassed in grocery stores if we didn’t win by enough points the prior weekend… Spurrier’s exit was very similar. It’s all well documented

      Spurrier was definitely run off by entitled Florida fans. He said so himself. Instead of being happy about winning fans would complain to coach about not running up the score. Even if we do hire an OC half of the fan base will still bitch and complain about something

    I’m so sick of our fan base it makes me nauseous. Program’s been taking nothing but W’s and having positive energy for two months now and clowns like this who supposedly speak for the fanbase still singing the same “Billy’s not the guy for the job” tune. Get tf outta here man.

    If it wasn't for Billy Napier DJ lagway wouldn't even be it Florida. The play calling has been so much better over the past six games. Billy Napier will be the head coach at Florida for many years to come

    Billys scheme is ok but he needs a dedicated play caller. Dj has already had a full year plus in this system, and with a college window you dont want to start all over and waste a year learning a new system

    From what I've witnessed from both Lagway and Sellers, the USC QB is the most lethal. But I believe the Gators have a much brighter future.

    If I'm not mistaken, I saw something. It said we were number 1 in 3 or 4 defensive categories the last 3 games of the season. With over 6 start out in each game.

      It’s not super easy to go 10-2 in the sec and from the looks of it that’s what it’s gonna take to make the playoffs . Some teams have easier routes to the playoffs that don’t play in the sec like Indiana , Boise state , Arizona state . Florida doesn’t get that luxury

    Can’t compare previous eras. There was maybe 1-2 tough tests on Spurrier’s and Urban’s SEC schedules.

    We got recruting going we went on a win streak and i get its not were we need to be but we heading there and this team has a whole different feel since tebow era and its still not enough . Ik im not the only one that feels this team is ganna be great . That dude is just stuck in that past like half of this fanbase and no they have to play us they and have to deal with us remember that. its not we have to deal with them mentality no more

    This guy was talking out of both sides of his mouth! On one hand he says he still has questions about Billy Napier and the Tulane game was terrible, but on the other hand he says you don’t fire him next year if he starts out similar to this yr as long as they’re not getting embarrassed!     Saban didn't want to call plays. He wanted to build winning teams. For all his humility otherwise, Billy can't yet bring himself to the same place. If Billy takes one more step and relinquishes control of the offense, he may well be the next great coach at Florida. If, however, he is unable to see that he is not a championship caliber play caller, then he will be fired after next season.

    Everybody keeps saying the tough schedule is going to keep Florida out of the playoffs. Isn’t a strong schedule supposed to help you get in? Florida might as well start scheduling four FCS teams for their non conference opponents since all they care about is winning…it’s a broken system when a soft schedule helps your playoff chances.

    With the talent on the roster, Napier needs to go 9-3 or better in the 2025 regular season. Otherwise I’m done giving him chances. If he has the insight to hire an OC this offseason, then I would be more patient.

    Lagway has a long way to go. Im a gator, but the hype is overstated. He hasn't shown the best ability in short to mid-range passing.
    I wouldn't expect too much next year, but if they can build on the momentum of this year, then year 3 for Lagway could be the year.

      DJ came in as a true freshman and has lived up to the type. The intermediate to short routes is easily correctible. The sky is the limit and he's gonna cook next year. You don't think he's gonna drill that all offseason. Like what are we talking about here.

    if napier doesnt hire an oc he will be fired by end of next season. team is in playoff or bust mode and the guy struggles to get plays in reliably. the amount of times we have called timeouts off a quarter change or on 4th bc we cant get 11 out is insane. was super evident in the bowl game which is his last game of a 3 yr body of work. if they dont refine the oc spot and get a diff person calling plays the team will fall short of goals. lagway is literally hiding the play calling issues. imagine if we had a good playcaller with the talent at qb.

      @EUC_DeathRay we run like 4 concepts. Hitches, jet sweep, pa jet to te in flat. Pa flood roll out right. Everything good that happens is by lagway just making amazing plays. 9 months is plenty of time to install something other than pistol te bunch

      Me and you both know that he isn't! If it wasn't for Lagway he would've been fired this year so I truly believe his career at Florida solely depends on how good Lagway plays from here on out.     Billy Napier is a horrible coach. Should have been running an 8 win type program and DJ would have pushed them over the top.
    Instead, he was running a 5 win program, and DJ got him to 8 wins. In no way is he an elite level coach who will ever compete for titles in the SEC. He is a .500 coach and he has the record to prove it.
