I fold the laundry straight out of the dryer into a basket that stays on top of the dryer. This is what my mother did, as well. I've never liked that idea of dumping clean clothes somewhere so they can wait to be folded. I like to fold them when they're still hot so that they're not wrinkled.
My mom always says “a clean house doesn’t always mean a happy house” . Life is hard sometimes and sometimes times you need a break to rest restart and then move forward. Well wishes to you and your family 🥰
I absolutely love these types of videos that you do! Because your house looks like my house and I feel seen!! Everything you said about not knowing where to start and feeling overwhelmed is literally taking the words right out of my mouth. Thank you so much for normalizing this because there’s nothing more aggravating than getting on social media and seeing *those* homes and feeling like you aren’t doing enough when you’re giving it all you’ve got.
Your life with children is more real n reminds me of my family growing up. The house was never clean long, sink full of dishes, constant laundry, but great warm meals on the table my mom made with fresh tortillas everyday! The sweetest memory of her kneading the dough n rolling out tortillas. All the neighborhood kids loved coming over to eat my moms food! That’s what children remember mom being home and making it HOME!
This was a really sweet and needed message. Your videos never fail to give me some motivation I need to do something, even if it's just letting myself be and not focusing on doing it all. Thank you for that.

Awww, I wish your channel was here when my kids were small. How many moms are shamed into feeling like they need to look like those “perfect” moms we see? Who may have support so they don’t appear to struggle? Or they don’t show the many retakes it took to get their video to look perfect? At the end of the day, we are each human and no one should be shaming someone. I love the realness of this video and thank you for it. Much of my kids’ journey was spent watching me work hard as a divorced mama, who spent time cleaning when they were with their dad, sometimes super late at night, so I could spend time with them, which is the most important of all. Continue on your journey and focus on providing love to your babies, which is the most important of all. Take care of your health, because it’s important…without it, we can’t do what we need and want. Your kids are small for only a little while, treasure this time. And enjoy your vintage time (I found you because I love vintage). Your kids want to see you and your interests and they too will learn to develop unique interests with your example. God bless. 💕😘
Yes! This is what I needed! I feel like my home is always cluttered and never looks good 😩 But then I remind myself, I’m a full-time working mother of 2 young kids who spends my non-working hours as homeschool teacher, homemaker, cook, etc. Love the “where there is mess, there is love.” Need to make that my daily reminder. God bless, thanks for sharing your life!
For most of us, clutter is just a part of life. Little piles of good intentions that become part of the scenery, until one day you tune back into the details of your environment and you haven't seen your baseboard in a certain spot for a month, because that was just where that one pile lived? For some reason? I'm always very impressed by people who don't have tables turn into clutter magnets, but those people are few and far between. For most of us, I think we just try our best to keep things manageable, and what is manageable changes. A space in use will always be in some state of change, and that's okay. :) I think your house is lovely, whether tidy or messy.
Needed this today. I've been sick for days and then having mom guilt for being to ill to clean my house the way I want it to be cleaned. Thank you for reminding me it's okay to slow down.
Needed this today. I'm watching on a Friday, which is my usual day to get things done, since all 3 kids are at school / nursery, and I don't work my paid job on Fridays. Today, the youngest is home with a cold, just wants to cuddle in, I'm still in my pyjamas, and I've done nothing but hang out a load of laundry. And thats ok.
Gosh you're beautiful Kristina, such a soft and compassionate light in the world. Truthful and courageous and completely relatable! Down to earth and gorgeous!! I was driving to pick up my daughter's and was tearing up in the car!💚🌱☀️ Happy spring my friend!xx
As a person who just lost one of my sweet babies I completely agree that it is enough. On my sad days I don't think about the never ending laundry or the clutter about the house. I remember the quiet days when I was nursing a newborn baby watching the Lion King or the toddler who just wanted me to sing him another song from the Lion king. And when he got older how he didn't want to read baby books but he wanted me to read him what I was reading. ( that was when I stopped reading dime store romance novels and started reading the classics again) or when he wanted so much to be able to have his own gameboy so he could play pokemon with his older brothers. Then his skateboard as a preteen and he still enjoyed it to the end at 28. This is why I so enjoy your family and yourself because you remind people of what the most important part of being a parent is. Love, Patience and Time. 💗💗💗💗
I'm a stay at home mom, have been off and on for 9 years (I've picked up jobs short term once my youngest was in school). I feel like there is pressure on stay at home parents to do it all every day because, well "your home all day so you have the time, right?". But I think you hit on a huge point at the end... being with your children. That's the real main reason we do it. If your trying to fit it all in your day you'll never have time for your kids. That's a thing I'm still learning after all these years.
Love watching you interact with your little ones while you are taking care of your home. You are a blessing and inspiration just being yourself. Thanks for inviting us into your daily life.
Those baby cuddles reminded me of a time long ago, their cheeks are so soft aren’t they?! And your son’s cheeky face! 🤗😂 thank you for showing and loving the normal! X
@@WithLoveKristina we used to say it was like a hot cross bun fresh out of the oven (do you have those in the states?) they’re an Easter bun and are so soft and doughy and ideally warm, like a baby’s cheek after nap time. Xxx
This is so true. My home has never been fully put together, but my kids are loved and know it. They never want for anything. Single mom fulltime job life does not leave a lot of room for all the duties of a SAHM. This was a great reminder to do what I can and enjoy what I have. Also love the name change. It goes along with your romantic style.
Thank you for sharing! This is beautiful and a great reminder we are human and we can take tasks one at a time and to sometimes slow down! I truly hope everyone is feeling much better! I agree with the folding we wait till the end of the washing and my kiddos and I make a relaxing tv watch while we fold! We are most definitely not perfect and that is very much okay❤️ I have said this before the mess / clutter it's home like you stated we all can't afford all of those other things ! There isn't anything wrong with making memories and having a little clutter ! Your doing great with what your doing keep it up friend ! You inspire more of us than you truly know we are grateful to have your channel and to have you. What you have done so far looks great !
I just found your channel a couple days ago and the "atmosphere" is so relaxing. It's cool to learn about the "old ways" while also showing normal people going about their normal business, just like the rest of us. Thank you.
Oh the baby cuddles! They were the best. Enjoy the moment now because when they're gone you'll yearn for those moments. Don't let people shame you for clutter. You are trying your best and that's all that matters. You're doing a great job take it from an older mom who has been there and done that. I now have healthy functioning adults.
Almighty bless you! My daughters and I watch you because you are real. Clutter and all. You are kind, real, respectful and beautiful! You encourage us! I am sorry you have people that criticize. Thank you persevering in spite of all that.
Thank you so much Kristina, this is a wonderful gift you have given us. You are so right about giving ourselves permission to just do one thing at a time. Thank you again. Much love to you and yours.
❤the mess will always be there, find time for cuddling and snuggling the babies. So, realistic/life. I love that you mentioned it’s fine to work on one area/section a day. That’s what I do.😊
I can really relate. I also had 4 kids, similar home and surroundings. I didn't believe when people told me how quickly that season passes. But it does! Mine are adults now. Where did the time go? It was a wonderful season; messes, repairs and illnesses included. One thing at a time! You have this!
I really like that you have actual books in your bookcases that look like they are read and enjoyed. And thanks for straightening out that coffee table at the end, it was starting to make me want to reach in there and straighten it for you, I’m one of those can’t stand things that are crooked people lol.

What a wonderful video. Go easy on yourself always 💐 we are going through a studio Ghibli season too! They're so magical. I feel like I can't find my feet at the moment after covid turned my little boys' birthday upside down only 3 weeks ago and flattened us all we now all have chest infections so I'm back to digging through and not feeling on top. I know I'll get back there and I'm trying so hard to focus on the little things I CAN do rather than all the things I cant. It's so hard, the guilt is so real. But I'm holding up in cuddles, resting and cutting corners because that's exactly where we are right now. 💗💗 Thank you
I love all your videos but I love your home/life videos especially. I have two kids who are home all day. The clutter and mess piles up SO FAST, especially when the kids don’t have school/childcare outside the house. Your house looks just like my house and it’s comforting and motivating to watch this video 🍓
The Dress looks so Good on you 🥰 I like dresses with flowers ✨ My Neighbor Totoro is my absolute favourite movie! I can‘t count how often I watched it 😂
Really well done. Such an important message that stay at home moms don’t hear often enough. My nest is nearly empty, but I remember having a 12yo, 8yo, 6yo and a newborn and just how hard it could be on a daily basis to meet all of their needs, clean the house, cook for meals and be a moderately sane human being at the end of the day. You are doing a great job. I’ve been enjoying your videos so very much and have even started trying to dress vintage. Thank you! 💜
Thank you so much for reminding me of something I know but all too often forget, our house isn't just a house, it's a home! Homes are meant to be lived in and life can be messy. We all face our own challenges that create the difference between our dream home and our reality, and that's nothing to be ashamed of or let get us down. You help me remember trying my best and doing something instead of nothing, is enough. Thank you for this much needed message that is not about perfection, it's about making our house a home, piles of clutter or dirty dishes and all.
Nobody's house can be perfect all the time! It's definitely effort related but it can seem endless, which causes so much fatigue! Especially with more people! Or can seem insurmountable if you are healing from illness. One thing I like to do is fold laundry or do basic things to music or podcast. Also never forget to take a little bit of time for yourself in the endless tide of activity.
I wanted to come to your page and find something light hearted with how heavy today feels. I’m glad I watched this video and your sons face at the end gave me a much needed LOL. Love your videos. Hope you are taking care of yourself today. 🌸💖
I often wish for that village thats suppose to help raise the child. I needed it in my own childhood, now i know. But i also feel shame for asking for help. And somehow i ended up here. You inspired me to take it a task at a time🥰... i found u. Thank you
@@WithLoveKristina sooner than you want them to be. Treasure every moment ❤️ Don’t get me wrong! I love my bigger kids. I just miss those little moments 🥰
We should always encourage normalizing life. Whether it's some people are bigger, shorter, normalizing periods, & childbirth, & everything else. It's life, & we all choose to live it differently. You shouldn't critique a life you haven't lived in. I love your content!
Feeling a bit under the weather doctor's orders are to take it easy for a couple days. So all my busy cleaning plans are on hold, much to my chagrin. Thanks for reminding me it's okay to bless the mess sometimes. 😁
Thank you for this video. For all the times I feel that I do not do enough with a full time job, a kid and with no help whatsoever. Your kids are adorable and I am sending lot's of hugs and love from another mum. I still find hard to understand why there are people out there who write shaming comments for a mother of FOUR (!). You are lovely and your videos make me happy. 🐞
Well put hun. I do find, at times, being a stay at home i put pressure on myself to have it all done to justify staying home...and that's just wrong xxx
Baby steps! Being sick for a prolonged time & having a sloppy family = ginormous mess (no kids, no danger👍). I've been slowly cleaning more and more. Every little space is a victory🎉💐🎊☕
I needed to hear this. I do this with everything all the time. Instead of taking it in small parts, I think of it all at once and I end up freezing and doing nothing. Thank you for this
Thank. You. So. Much! I’ve been learning how to do little things at a time and this is just everything! It’s okay to be messy, it’s okay to be slow, just take one day, one task at a time🙌🏼❤️❤️❤️
Very encouraging, thank you. Ghibli films are a favorite of ours too. I just started reading the book Miyazaki is basing his new movie on, How Do You Live. It’s very good So far and I recommend it.
I wouldn’t normally recommend a devotional book to a random person, but I know you’ve mentioned (if I remember correctly) that you and your husband met at church, so I think this may be safe. If you haven’t read it yet, and just based on this video I wouldn’t be surprised if you have/are, I really recommend “Good Enough” by Kate Bowler and Jessica Richie. It speaks very much to some of the themes in this video, and I think you’d like it. We’re using it as part of our Lenten programming at church right now, and it’s easily the best devotional book I’ve ever read. Granted, I generally find devotional to be boring, sanctimonious, saccarine, or some combination thereof. These are pithy, witty, and not too long, always reminding you you’re good enough as you are. Also, there’s a LotR reference in the preface, so… And the faces your son makes at the end….I died! 🤣
Oooh a LOTR reference? I MUST check it out ;) lol but yes, my husband's dad is a Baptist pastor, we met at church! I've been looking for a good devotional. My grandma used to send me Our Daily Bread pages in her letters, and those have always been precious to me.
I loved this ❤️ I watched it as I tried to dig myself out of dirty dishes (I sent my husband and kids out to pickup food because there was absolutely nothing clean to cook with or eat on 🥴). Life happens, and one season we won’t have a house full of little people or mountains of laundry. Ohhh and his faces at the end 😂
Takeout nights are my favorite, not gonna lie! Whether we've got dishes or not - but we've definitely had those nights where we had no dishes and just ordered in. Life happens!
i copied a little bit from fly lady every friday is my laundry day, dry it and hang it away, yes hang it and suddenly the laundry mountain was no longer an enemy for me, but with window cleaning and ironing i can't make friends yet
I need to look more into Fly Lady routines! I have had a few people ask me to try her routines out! I loved reading what I did look up. lol I've cleaned our windows like... twice since we've lived here sooo I feel that.
This is so true. I live alone and don't have children, but I suffer from servere stress and that means being so burned out you can't do anything. So it helped when I just said to myself - when I have the energy, I'll clean the bathroom. When I have the energy, I'll do the dishes - or half of the dishes. So that it's not my entire home at once and I'm left exhausted needing to recover from it for days. A little bit is enough. What we are able to do is enough - if it's doing ONE dish, it's doing one dish.
So I’m looking through the contents of a book that I am thinking about using for homeschooling with my kids and had the phone in my hand and glanced over and saw the title of this video… And laughed and put down the book.
@@WithLoveKristina Thank you so much! I am hoping to start a RUclips channel someday so I set up this account and I was just laughing because I have four cats and they definitely love to *help* me sew! I have an IG account with (nearly) the same name if you are interested in my cat shenanigans!

What a sweet video and a what a true message! Love what you do and your honesty. God bless you and your family.
Thank you so much for this, I wish I'd seen this when my children were little!
I wanted to come to your page and find something light hearted with how heavy today feels. I’m glad I watched this video and your sons face at the end gave me a much needed LOL. Love your videos. Hope you are taking care of yourself today. 🌸💖
Today does feel heavy. I'm sorry you're feeling it too, hugs friend!
I wish my younger self could have understand this. You are a wonderful momma, and stylish too!
I'm thankful to have a mama who understood this herself! Thank you!
Oh Kristina!!! I was so sooooo excited to see a new video from you!😍 I cant wait to watch dear!💕 Your videos bring me such joy!🍓
Hehe thank you sweet friend!
Thank you. You have no idea how much I needed to see your video and hear your your words today. I'm so happy it popped up in my recommended.
I often wish for that village thats suppose to help raise the child.
I needed it in my own childhood, now i know. But i also feel shame for asking for help.
And somehow i ended up here. You inspired me to take it a task at a time🥰... i found u. Thank you
Love this message and this video brought me so much comfort and relaxation. Thank you for inviting us into your home and your thoughts ❤
I miss those baby cuddling days. So sweet to see. You are doing a great job! I love how your videos remind me that it’s ok to not be perfect. 🥰
Baby cuddling days are so sweet. I'm reminded too often that they'll be gone soon!
@@WithLoveKristina sooner than you want them to be. Treasure every moment ❤️
Don’t get me wrong!
I love this and agree wholeheartedly!
Feeling a bit under the weather doctor's orders are to take it easy for a couple days. So all my busy cleaning plans are on hold, much to my chagrin. Thanks for reminding me it's okay to bless the mess sometimes. 😁
I'm sorry you're under the weather but I hope you heal up quickly! take that rest, your body deserves to recharge
His face in the end….😊
Was the best
Thank you for this video. For all the times I feel that I do not do enough with a full time job, a kid and with no help whatsoever. Your kids are adorable and I am sending lot's of hugs and love from another mum. I still find hard to understand why there are people out there who write shaming comments for a mother of FOUR (!). You are lovely and your videos make me happy.
🐞
Well put hun. I do find, at times, being a stay at home i put pressure on myself to have it all done to justify staying home...and that's just wrong xxx
Needed this today. Thank you for this helpful and sweet message.
ahhh always so kind and sweet, a true queen🥲💖
I just love your videos and the girls helping you clean was so sweet xx
THANK YOU! It seems like we have an ever revolving door of needing everything to be spotless at once. I appreciate this so much.
lol I swear it's a rule in my house that only one area is allowed to be clean at one time.
Good message & the kitty pillowcase in your laundry looked familiar! lol Keep up the good work!! hugs...
This was beautiful and oh so needed!
Thank you thank you. Your girls helping clean the table is everything 🥰
Thank you so much for keeping it real. Helps me feel better about my own “ normal” life. ❤️
We love studio gibli movies! I so identify with your video! I love your dress and sweet babies. 🥰❤️ Keep up the great job, and I will try, too.
Baby steps! Being sick for a prolonged time & having a sloppy family = ginormous mess (no kids, no danger👍). I've been slowly cleaning more and more. Every little space is a victory🎉💐🎊☕
We will be victorious over the mess monster, haha!
I needed to hear this. I do this with everything all the time. Instead of taking it in small parts, I think of it all at once and I end up freezing and doing nothing. Thank you for this
Thank. You. So. Much! I’ve been learning how to do little things at a time and this is just everything! It’s okay to be messy, it’s okay to be slow, just take one day, one task at a time🙌🏼❤️❤️❤️
I'm so much of an "all or nothing" person that it's taken forever to realize I can just do little things and not ALL OF THE THINGS ahahah!
@@WithLoveKristina Same!!
Sometimes I find that doing the one thing naturally leads to doing others. Getting started is the hardest part.
Amazing how fast it can all pile up! 😳 I've been matching socks after years of just shoving them in the drawer lol.... baby steps 😉
Very encouraging, thank you. Ghibli films are a favorite of ours too. I just started reading the book Miyazaki is basing his new movie on, How Do You Live. It’s very good So far and I recommend it.
Love love love this video
Oh yes, this is me today ❤️
Ooooh It's really coming along :)
Also, there’s a LotR reference in the preface, so…
And the faces your son makes at the end….I died! 🤣
Oooh a LOTR reference? I MUST check it out ;) lol but yes, my husband's dad is a Baptist pastor, we met at church! I've been looking for a good devotional. My grandma used to send me Our Daily Bread pages in her letters, and those have always been precious to me.
Your dress is so pretty
Oh, I'm with you! I'm too short for the windows (great excuse, eh😁), and ironing is my worst enemy! Unless I'm trying to sew...
When you have the energy, that's perfect! It's definitely enough. I tell myself - even five minutes is better than NO minutes!
@@WithLoveKristina Absolutely!
Cuddling your children is more important than “getting everything done”.
Amen sister
So I’m looking through the contents of a book that I am thinking about using for homeschooling with my kids and had the phone in my hand and glanced over and saw the title of this video… And laughed and put down the book.
Haha well hello! ;) Also I love your username
@@WithLoveKristina Thank you so much! I am hoping to start a RUclips channel someday so I set up this account and I was just laughing because I have four cats and they definitely love to *help* me sew! I have an IG account with (nearly) the same name if you are interested in my cat shenanigans!
Oh my word your precocious son and those faces he makes for the camera! He really seems to enjoy hamming it up and I love seeing it. Thank you for this fantastic, and inspiring, video =]]]
Haha he's a ham! If he knows I'm running the camera he's always trying to make faces at it, it's great!
I remember these days sticking floors sticking faces. My youngest is 15.

Your son is darling❤️
Baby cheeks!!
