  • Welcome to my channel. I made a big display here. This is mainly about the portable solar panel that I bought from Biltema in Lappeenranta. I would like to use the solar panel to charge my motorhome, which I will be stationing in Suomenniemi this winter. I would like to connect and charge my starter battery with this salar panel, which has 30 watts of power, and another panel with my on-board batteries. The solar panel has a maximum output of 1.5 amps in the best sunlight. When there is little sunlight, the performance is lower. That's why I bought a wattmeter in China that shows me the power in amperes and watts precisely and also the voltage in volts that is on the battery. The battery is here. It is connected with crocodile clips with plus and minus. I connected this wattmeter here by cutting the two cables plus and minus and connecting the wattmeter with “Wago” terminals. Here I see exactly the performance, I don't have any at the moment. Here I have the different connections. One connection for the battery and one for a consumer, such as light, charging cell phones, etc. In Lappenranta near Biltemann I bought a pump for a shower that I can charge here. This pump requires 3.7 volts and can be easily connected here. You can also charge this lamp here that I bought in China so that it lights up again.
Then here we have another cable with a plug for a device that fits it. Here we have a cable with a plug for the cigarette socket in the car. If that's not enough, I have an extension cable that can be extended from 60 cm to 3 m. I have planned this for when I need the solar panel in the motorhome to charge the starter battery. I will make a special video about this.
To charge devices that require more than 12 volts, I need an inverter. Here, for example, I have an battery-powered drill that requires 14.4 volts. I have a small inverter with 500 watts of power. It is connected to the battery and when I turn it on you can hear the fan. So all devices over 12 volts, such as a laptop, can be connected here for charging. The inverter converts 12 volts from the battery into 220 volts and small converters in the cable plug of the devices then convert the current again into the required voltage.
That's right now, there will be another video later, where I'll do the tests on the RV to see how well the solar panel works for maintaining charge on the RV.
Thank you for your attention and see you in the next video!
