Thank you sooooo much Pastor Brett and Athey Creek!! From So Cal we want to say we are so very blessed by your anointed teaching. Can’t wait to spend eternity with you all, our brothers and sisters. Praise the Lord Jesus!!!! ❤✝️🙏🏼
The music was so moving and uplifting. What a band! Love Pastor Brett's teaching too, although his English accent is marginally better than Dick Van Dyke 😄 If only we had a church within range here in Cheshire, UK.
Yes the creation speaks about God. GOD even says it does. Trees.rocks.water.fire.wind and many more point to Him. Don't be stuffy read the bible with a searching heart. Jesus spoke in parables. The creation is a huge parable. Thank God. Happy Christmas ❤❤❤
Are christmas trees pagan ?. I think the day named Monday to Friday, has Pagan roots as well ,better ban the week 😂 To the pure in heart ,all things are pure . Thankyou lord we have a day where we can remember, and celebrate your very cool Birthday ❤. Thankyou God ,Jesus, Athey,Brett ,and everyone else .
Reminds me of when I was 18 (a decade or five ago) and I played a beautiful Pat Metheny jazz(?) song titled *_Sea Song_* (which musically represents the atmosphere of the beauty of diving a coral reef) for a very religious lady, the mother of a friend of mine, and the first thing she said with a frown and judgemental inflection was, "Now is that CHRISTIAN music?!?" I answered, "It is when I listen to it". She just walked away. Jesus And Faith Overcomes
I was JUST talking about this to people online yesterday (before watching this) That's so nuts! This is a Godience for sure! I love God does that. I had been praying about this. .. because I was really feeling like the devil was trying to confuse people and stop them from celebrating Christmas because of fear of paganism. And I was like wait.. we're putting the fear of paganism over our joy and celebration of the fact our Savior was born? Why would you want to give that over to the devil? Think about how many people hear the gospel because of Christmas? Children sing about the birth of Jesus, because of Christmas. So much good comes from it. We give gifts to one another because God gave us the ultimate gift when He gave us His only begotten Son to die for our sins. But the last thing I ever want to do is offend God! So I had been praying about this. If I'm wrong God please correct me. And then I started watching this and Brett is addressing everything I have been praying about. That's a God wink for sure! Thank you for this message
The Lord Jesus Christ knows I love athey creek christian fellowship, and strive to watch all the teaching Lord willing. BUT something has been weighing on my heart for a while the mandatory abstaining from alcohol which the Lord created for the joy of mankind?who has a right to do that but the Lord himself? I was told in a dream by the Lord to abstain from alcohol because I have a history with abusing it but to outlaw everyone else because a word for the Lord for me would be tyrannical! All for the name of “Love” give me a break. If this was a command in the Holy Bible I would have no basis to make this statement but the Lord says “not giving” to much wine which could also apply to anything like (food, money, sex) can’t we agree on that? (We should be given to Lord Jesus himself only!) Adding to Gods word is just as bad as taking away from Gods word! Thank you and have a blessed day in the mighty name of Lord Jesus Christ, Happy Christmas!!!
Hi Andrew, thanks for your comment and for being part of Athey Creek. We really appreciate your heart for staying true to God’s Word. To clarify, we do not teach (and have never taught) that the Bible says all believers have to avoid alcohol completely. The Bible talks a lot about moderation, like in 1 Timothy 3:8, Titus 2:2-3, and Ephesians 5:18. But it doesn’t forbid drinking altogether. That said, our staff, elders, and deacons choose to abstain as a personal decision and example. We totally understand that the Lord can lead individuals, like in your case, to avoid alcohol for personal reasons. We respect that, but we certainly don’t make it a rule for everyone (Romans 14:21). Thanks again for sharing your heart on this! If you would like to chat more, feel free to reach out to our Pastoral Care Team at (971) 250-1113. Merry Christmas and blessings to you!
