  • Pastor Voddie uses this example of doubt to show us how we need to be reminded of the truth so that we do not fall prey to the sin of doubt.
    Exodus 6:1-9:
But the LORD said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh; for with a strong hand he will send them out, and with a strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”
2 God spoke to Moses and said to him, “I am the LORD. 3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by my name the LORD I did not make myself known to them. 4 I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the land in which they lived as sojourners. 5 Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the people of Israel whom the Egyptians hold as slaves, and I have remembered my covenant. 6 Say therefore to the people of Israel, ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from slavery to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment. 7 I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8 I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you for a possession. I am the LORD.’ ” 9 Moses spoke thus to the people of Israel, but they did not listen to Moses, because of their broken spirit and harsh slavery.

I catch myself , having this mindset some days. Lord forgive me and help me be a better child of yours. Not because I deserve it but because you are who you are. Forgive me Father. Help me in these tough times.

    Dealing with Doubt:
    1. We doubt because we forget who God is. He is the LORD!
    2. We doubt because we forget what God has done. He ha established a covenant with us.
    3. We doubt because we forget what God has promised. He will rescue us and deliver us.
We need to be reminded about God on a daily basis through His Word. This is a power sermon. May God bless the life and ministry of Dr Voddie Baucham.

“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.” (James‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

Gen 17:1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.
The Bible has the word 'LORD' a lot which means Jehovah.
When God declared His name to Abraham, He pointed to His name as the Almighty God...not Jehovah.
God is all that these two names entail and so so much more.
He is our all in all.

I got chills as Voddie described what he did @20:00...he just described my relationship(s) with Our Lord Jesus, so precisely, like he was telling the congregation a story, that I'd only shared with him, to embarrass me. Thank You, Lord, for always being with me, in spite of my poor worship, love, reverence, and fear of you, your will, and your glory...for NEVER taking your eyes off me, when I took mine off you...whenever I look back and see one set of footprints, for being the one who, and for being there to carry me. AMEN.

Thank you for this. Great teaching! I just don’t understand, though, why a mother with a wailing baby wouldn’t leave the sanctuary to calm or attend to her child. You talk about our mothers… my mother would’ve scurried out of there so as not to distract or disturb the teaching. She never would’ve considered remaining. It’s a strange, self-centered world we live in.

I agree with the original thought - it is very distracting to listeners whether in the service or here on RUclips (and I can imagine the pastor as well who’s trying to teach something he’s studied on all week) it’s not very respectful. I think children should be included in the worship but there is a place for removing babies who don’t understand and continue to make noise and can’t be kept quiet
We are trying to listen and give our attention to the preacher - the focus is taken away when a baby continually yells out
I’m a pastor’s wife who raised six children - and brought them into the service - but not infants or toddlers who were loud and distracting to the other parishioners. I always took them out
Anyway - great sermon from voddie!

What version is he reading from? I have a kjv from the 60s and the name Yahwe isn't anywhere. When I look for that name online all I find is a pegan God fused with another so called God, which kinda reminds me of Thaumuel which is ridiculously satanic.

When you study the Holy Bible, where you are comparing scripture with scripture, when specific words are important, it’s important to use the King James but in general topic preaching and presenting the majority of the mainstream translations are fine. If you know Voddie at all then you’d know you don’t have to worry about him using a satanic translation 😀 Seriously, there’s no need to get hung up on which translation to use - yes, there are errors in some translations but those errors aren’t going to steer anyone to hell.
