Hey Neil, thank you for showing off the team! This is my first ever tour win and I’m proud of the work I’ve put in. One thing I have to say about this tour that I think is super cool is that in the top 8 of that tour there are no repeated restricteds. Not sure if the meta will stay that way but it’s cool to see diversity like that this early. As always great video Neil!
Hey Graysen, congrats on your performance out there, it was perfect! I tried this team yesterday on a online Friendly Competition and did a great job as well with it. One question tho, can you show us the EV spread and Nature of that Comfey? Seens like a key part of the team, and I would LOVE to know how it works in details. Thanks for the attention, man!!
@@yannvictor95 Hi, I’m happy to hear the team has been working out for you and I’m glad to share. I’m not sure if it’s optimal, but it was working for some of the calcs I wanted. EVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 156 SpD Calm Nature. Hope this helps!
Couldn't clear amulet also be good instead of covert cloak on Terapagos? You can be fake outed but you won't get parting shots on it which can be more valuable
@@francesco_____ Clear amulet is definitely another option and it would block parting shot which is cool but I think the immunity to fake out is important because if you are in the mirror and you both lead terapagos incin they can outpace you with calm minds because of fake out cycling and knocking off your amulet
Zamazenta too, if you don't let it set up iron defenses it becomes much easier to deal with and its teammates suffer similar issues to Terapagos albeit to a much lesser extent since Zamazenta can still dish out good damage with just the +1 from dauntless shield and its teammates can act more flexibly in supporting it as such
I know I talked about it yesterday but it’s cool to see Ho-Oh and Ting-Lu together! This team is a little more aggro than what I’ve been playing, but I do think Life Dew Ho-Oh next to Ting-Lu is too crazy. If you remove your opponent’s physical attacker(s) they’re unbeatable. I like the inclusion of glimmora here as well. Ho-oh likes poison support to close out some endgames.
Clear amulet swords dance groudon is super consistent for me right now. It’ll take a hit from pretty much anything but kyogre or 2 grassy glides. Not sure if fire or dragon tera is better tho
Honestly I don’t understand how people thought Terapagos was going to be a bad Pokémon. Sure it should’ve got more healing moves or status moves, but it’s tanky, has pretty good coverage, and it’s decently offensive when it terastallize.
@@lnvlctus1555 bro if your Calyrex gets knocked off it’s dead lol. Changing your entire restricted’s playset for a niche interaction (Tera-ing into a defensive type, keeping an enemy Incin alive, letting it hit you unchecked) definitely doesn’t seem viable to me lol
It's not the first time that we've seen protect on a scarf or specs user, for exactly this reason. Especially since Calyrex shadowriders are mostly Tera fairy. If you want to know exactly, you can try asking the team's creator what he was thinking.
@@cyanconure My guess would be that you see that you cannot avoid knock off so you tera. From there you can play draining kiss or protect into the dark type to deal with it.
I tried comfey with terapagos, but it always felt kinda akward. While with sinistcha it feels more natural with bulky redirection strength sap and healing
gen 9 is the healthiest and most creative we have seen competitive pokemon in a long time with one of the largest rosters of mons to pick from it is insane seeing what mons people go for and the reasoinging behind it
I am determined to find a Kyogre team that works well despite how easy it is this generation to stop Kyogre and while far from perfect, I have a gut feeling Landorus in either form could be valuable as a ground type not weak to grass.
You could make it work with some sort of trapping move. In reg C I used roaring moon with jaw lock to make pelipper useless once I switch in torkoal. At that point it’s a 2v1. Whirlpool and magma storm kinda work

@@graysenVGC yeah true, interesting choice
I find that the terapagos team is weak to taunt, i found it in showdown ladder and taunted the terapagos allowed me to kill him with iron hands
Did the same with torn, and then overwhelmed them with kyurem white.

In addition with zama you can use Tera to get away from super effective earth powers and wide guard to shield yourself from Tera star storm
Fire oger and kyurem hyper offense has been really good for me against the terapagos teams, mold breaker and turbo blaze ignore the Tera shell
Neil sees the koraidon set: “yo this is really cool”
Me seeing the koraidon set: “yo this is really cool, wait a second I can’t beat this”
LOL
I came in 2nd in my second ever room tour with Terapagos and it really is the truth. I'm so glad to see it continue picking up these results 🥰

Everyone was so wrong about Terapagos
I saw potential. Schoolwork was the only thing holding me back lol.

3:42 Is that a Choice Specs Protect Calyrex I see?
Probably cause if your item gets knocked off

Does anybody have any advice with team building with ditto?
You probably want to bring ditto in the back so you can make sure you copy their restricted. You also want Scarf so that your ditto outspeeds
Was this tournament streamed anywhere?

Hey can you announce upcoming tournaments?
people thought reg f was gonna be the most diverse meta ever but by the looks of this top cut they were very very wrong
if only i had played slightly better my agenda would have been on screen
Swear it said Terapagos won a tournament a second ago
Terapagos didn't deserve its name in the title since comfey is the real mvp of the team.
Am i the only one who is wondering why the second place team has protect on a specs calyrex!?
Because it is REALLY funny
It is by far the best time for restricted format vgc ever literally top 8 has all different restricted mons which is unbelievable 🎉
First
I had comfey on my team back in Sw/Sh just to deal with Urshifu
Warren G Regulate tournament
Comfey with Rilla op
Just discovered I had a shiny one in Sword and Shield!!😅❤❤
Wouldn’t max speed flutter with sash moonblast, dazzling gleam, imprison, protect go crazy next to koraidon?
what about Terapagos EV spread? I can't seem to find anyone specifying that yet. It would help me a lot right now.

Anyone else notice the wartortle 5:16
Where do people find these tournaments?
First!
Where you can see this things?
Third!
Any idea why we are not using tyranitar to counter shadow rider? SpDef boost + assault vest+ knock off seems good 😅
Because the other weather setters all nuke it now lol
