Put a push light. Like the ones with batteries that u can put in closets. they sell them at dollar stores
Something to add on so you won't fall add hott glue on the bottom or use the rubber shelf liners you find in Wal-Mart or any store

What thickness of EVA foam are you using for the gloves themselves? I've got the pattern, but they aren't labeled on it.
