Um... What exactly do they think the police are going to do? Issue tickets for noise? Go around with cans of bug spray? Flamethrowers? Call in the National Guard? To do what? Go around with huge flyswatters? I mean at what point do you hear cicadas and say I think we should call the police, the noise is bothering me.

I live in upstate South Carolina and it's been quite here..my guess is that a few ppl may have called not understanding what these bugs sound like and somehow the media made it sound like 1/2 the state is calling 911..smh
