Congrats to Belmonte and congrats to Brad. To make it on television is a challenge within itself. To make it as far as you have with the year we've had, i have to give you props.
Probably going to rank as one of my favorite shows. Brad's performance was awesome. That's a STACKED ladder and the score he put up against Tackett was exceptional on this pattern; it's very challenging.
Great credit to Brad, for getting so close in climbing what amounted to Mt. Everest. Simo is a beast. EJ is even scarier, and on top of the mountain? Only Belmo! Great job, Brad. He basically lost the title in the 6th frame with that difficult 3-6-9-10 high hit. Sometimes you hit high and just leave a 6, and other times you get killed with tough leaves. Getting closer though. Keep it up, Brad!
Belmo is just incredible! Props to Miller, what a ladder to climb.

craziest thing about Belmo is going back and listening to commentary from just 5-6 years ago where they talk about "2 handed being bad for the sport" for 80% of the match, and almost every commentator and other bowler hated him.
Now he's the biggest ratings driver they have and the biggest start of the sport since Pete.
@DecrepitOrigin888 it's legit just a different method of delivery, I compare it to the jump shot in basketball, it's just an evolution of the technique. it's not inherently easier to succeed with 2 hands, in fact it's probably more difficult for most people.
@DecrepitOrigin888 oil patterns are different depending on the event/lanes. Rev rate refers to the rotation of the bowling balls, generally yes two hander spins the ball much faster, but this isn't always true, plenty of one handed bowlers have super high rev rates, EJ Tackett I believe has a very high rev.

If the USBC and the PBA had said at the beginning "no 2-handed bowling" we would see no 2-handed bowling. And, considering that there are plenty of 1-handed bowlers winning, it's time for the whiners to hush and bowl their 1-handed games. Enough already.

Gotta hand it to Brad. He gave everyone a run for their money, and did really well! Up against bowling titans and didn't seem fazed at all.
And the fact that he had to grind to get to Belmo-- should not go unnoticed or dismissed! Well done to him for sure.
Brad, your fight to the end attitude pushed you through two Goliaths. Always adjusting to find the right combination of ball, line, release and speed until success was enough for your first two wins on tv. The largest of all giant caught you this time. You should be confident moving forward and will be instrumental for the next time you face the storied elites in their prime.

Without a doubt, two-handed bowlers have a slight advantage over one-handers due to the control on their delivery of the ball down the lane. Belmo and Simonsen played very well in this tourney.

The great thing about this tournament, is that it proves that Brad Miller belongs out there. If he ever doubted himself, if he ever thought maybe he should be doing something else, then this tournament should put all of that to rest. He's right where he belongs!

Why does it matter which lane you use? What's the difference?
Both lanes break down differently and even start out different. The way one lane reacts might be different than the way another one reacts. This can cause bowlers to use two different bowling balls to balance the reaction or to simply stand in different places.
May sound weird to ask but doesnt belmonte’s ball look like is has a third hole? Even though weight holes are illegal by the time the show happened
1:26:34 you can clearly see his ball has a weight/thumb hole
They said during this video that although they had outlawed it by then where they had the rules set for this so early that they still allowed it for this tournament on oil patterns like this

@Bto Jerry. I just turned 11 like 20 days ago and I have been bowling a 181 average in league on a house shot and my record in league is 277 my record outside of league is 279. I have also been bowling for about 2 years, but great job,

Recently got into bowling as a hobby, What is it that Brad and many other's use after throwing a set they put their throwing hand in and let air out afterwards? is it something to help from the friction? (Sorry I'm very new to the sport)
Are you talking about the rosin bags? The things they put their fingers and thumb in? Rosin helps to keep the hand dry, similar to how the air on the ball return helps. Most players use it to keep their hands from getting too sweaty while they get set up for their shot

ALL THE RESPECT TO BRAD FUCKING MILLER. one of my favorites on the tour and to see him make it past simo and than right by tacket I was so hype and so proud. He's very capable and this is a high building block for him. He'll definitely benefit from this. Especially going against Jason. What a performance brad. GG go Jason congrats on another title.

There’s a rotating mechanism that the balls get onto and then it rotates the ball until it falls onto a spot where the ball rolls down a rack and then eventually going down beneath the lane caps that are between where the lanes connect, and then it will come out the ball returns
