Totally agree with you the poor horses think they are getting an apple and yes that kid was getting on my nerves also, I was screaming at my computer for that kid to leave the horse alone. What is in these parents head to leave there little kid stand by a big horse who could freak out on anything and the horse will not see the kid and just mow them down not trying to hurt them but we have seen the horse already freak out over protesters, loud noise, crying children.

There should be more police everyday.The tourists dont listen they laugh at the police .Ive been different places,in the world when the police or any authorities ask you yo move we have respect and something like this you know somethings up so no questions asked YOU MOVE.
As Horse Guards is a working military base the police are MOD ( Ministry of Defence ) There for security , antiterrorism and public safety . Moving the public at change over times is for public safety so they don't get kicked or trampled by a 17 hand horse ! Don't listen and you get hurt , your problem , your fault not theirs !
Think the horses shouldnt be touched, they have enough to do standing there all day ,pointless also having a man sitting on a horse like that ,if people were charged to rub the horse and photo taking there be less doing it

The crowds stand behind a barrier in near silence. They wouldn’t get three feet away from the barrier without being stopped. These men and women (and certainly the horses) deserve better.
Touching the poor Royal Horse is becoming a "RITUAL" . They just cannot keep their hands in control. Moreover, they just laugh at a drop of a hat if the Horse tries to bite . It's disgusting.

It took 6 minutes for the area to be closed down. From the guard marching out to the front gates closed. In a real emergency this is the last place you would want to be when its crowded.

I honestly wonder how many of the people we see in these videos, tourists and locals alike that are all "OOO HORSE!" have actually dealt with a horse or worked with one outside a petting zoo. Are they all "dudes" that this is their first time being so close to an actual horse, and that's why they're so touchy and clueless? If they are, it might explain some of this behaviour and why they're getting ruder over time. My two cents. Thanks for filming these splendid animals. :)
The MOD claim the horses are well looked after and cared for and yet they allow them to be abused by idiots who know nothing about animals, and horses in particular.
The beautiful horses respect the uniform whether it be soldier or police. The horses themselves are soldiers they take orders as does their rider. It's spectacular to see them both.
Security ALWAYS comes first. Even if you just HEAR the words, "Get Back", wouldn't you automatically do it? How about, if you SEE an officer pointing in a certain direction, wouldn't that trigger something in your brain? Those are 2 physical indicators, pay attention, and yet CRICKETS or a "DUH" look of, "are you talking to ME"?

The horses shouldn’t be with people access. Most people aren’t capable of understanding a horse and his or her need. It would be much safer for horses and riders. Y’all could sell all your trinkets but fencing off that area. The horses get very agitated and are not happy with all these people aggravating them. Please, think of the horses and riders. Put them behind a barrier where the folks can’t get to them.
