The design of the "nut" on the top of the cap harks to the same basic design that Ferris Wheel Press has sold for some time. And their ones are also Chinese. So, possibly the same factory.😉 I don't have trouble with some Chinese pens. Scriveiner is a good example of another well made Chinese pen. This looks like a good example as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! Edit: Wetness doesn't really matter to me. I'm old enough to remember vintage inks, when fast drying was a major issue. Keeps it from feathering so much on cheaper paper. And in the past, wasn't a lot of "fountain pen friendly" paper, and everyone used a fountain pen. 😉
I agree the ‘nut’ is a similar design element that is on the FWP Brush fountain pen… but the FWP is at such a terribly high price point and is definitely not a remarkable writer… at least the price of this pen is far more reasonable.
@@theoffstageme And the writing is really the important thing. Why I don't plan on getting a Ferris Wheel Press Brush. At least until they get it to write a lot better. Then the price... Why I refuse to get a modern Esterbrook. They're really not the "everyman's pen" of the original ones any more.
my dad said if i want a good pen go for ellington and this review really helps me see its a great choice of pen thank you for reviewing
Thanks Mick for another great review, i like the stealth model, very cool.

I have been looking at these pens. Looks classic. I can't decide to get the Ellington or the Scrivener EDC.
Tough decision to make.
Lots to like about both pens
