Cool, great body work! Looks great, love how you “slowly” made sure prior to the welding-up. Nice old truck, great mechanic and fabricator here! You rock Sir, keep the old steel rolling-on down the road. I’ve got a “63” I’m working on, you are helping me, thank you for this!
Thanks for watching. Make sure to check out our latest video. It’s on a 66 Starting the Rust Repairs on the 66 C10 ruclips.net/video/hz0hSdVGrNA/видео.html
Your cab corner replacement panel looks similar to mine. My bottom lip/edge isn’t quite shaped like the original along the rear of the cab bottom. Was yours? I’m afraid my lower lip won’t match up. Did yours?
It definitely wasn’t a perfect match. But I didn’t stress to much. For this truck it’ll be plenty good enough. AMD has about the best panels out there. As far as getting the factory lines right it seems
@@Metal_Massacre_Fab_Shop yeah I am looking for some help on this too. I have the corner cut out, the rear support cut out and corner area floor cut out. I have no idea which order to reassemble them. If I do floor first, I will need to do support without much room. I will keep going through your videos hoping to find some help. Thanks
Definitely could have. And i did on a few places where i didn't get the fit as tight as i liked. Mainly tig is less work on the clean up and i need practice 👍👍
@@Metal_Massacre_Fab_Shop do you think one creates less heat on the panel then the other? How close was the adm panel thickness to oem? It looked really thick

I thought I was crazy because my stupid replacement corner just would not line up with the door jamb. This makes me feel much better

Did you do a video on the back floor support? Thanks

Awesome man. I subbed back. I didn't realize i wasn't on this account. 😳 been following on my personal for a few years now 🤘Killer channel.
What kind of welding did you do on that?
Combination of tig/mig. Still not good enough on tig to do it all.
Could you have mig welded this panel? Why did you choose to tig over mig?
Definitely could have. And i did on a few places where i didn't get the fit as tight as i liked. Mainly tig is less work on the clean up and i need practice 👍👍

@Ian Maxwell i would say that tig would put less in. But if you skip around with mig it's not bad. And the amd panel was really close 👍👍
What type of tig welder do you use
Prime weld 225 👍
