AfrikanHairGod She blow dried matted hair.... with a round brush. She then proceeded to comb out the matted blow dried hair with a fine toothed comb.... I just don’t understand why she felt she should defend her actions. My scalp became sore after watching her snatch at the poor child’s scalp from ROOTS TO ENDS.

My stylist did that the other week, tried a new person, and it felt like she was brushing a sheep. She got all through my whole head and still sat me under the hood because I had huge wet spots on my head. Then she went back and brushed me like a sheep again. It all could have been avoided if she tried sectioning or maybe a comb...
She's acting as if u sought her out. Someone requested you watch her. Gosh, I wonder what's it like to be so pressed and in denial. Says shes humble but can't admit it wasn't her best work. While also insinuating you watched her for clout and views when u barely even post on this channel. You really hurt her feelings. I think she was doing her best in that video doing that girl's hair. That might be the saddest part

I'm really curious how she sent that little girl home the first day. My mom would've had a hissy fit if a hairstylist had sent me home with my hair half done! That is not professional at all! I hope she did that little girls hair for free.

There are some Basement Beauticians who can actually do hair. She can't and it shows. Actions speak far louder than her repetitive rant about a truth she cannot accept. That's why it was repetitive and inarticulate. Take some classes, and perfect your technique sis. It's cheaper than embarrassing yourself .

I stopped following her because she came off SUPER UPPITY! She doesn't do kids hair (occasionally she does especially if they've been a client for years), and she doesn't accept new clients. I think she actually retired. What really irked me was her disgust for stylist who use comb attachments! No matter how great the hairstyle came out, she would ALWAYS have an issue with it during her live reactions

She is one of the reasons why so many females are bald headed. I’m tired of stylists talking about how long they been this and that, how many licences and degrees they have, but don’t know what they doing, and ESPECIALLY with natural hair. Natural hair isn’t taught in cosmetology school, so 90% of stylists don’t know what they doing with non-relaxed hair. Thank youuu for showing the reality, because SO many stylists steal money like this. This is also why natural hair classes need to be taught. I’m over it!

I subscribed to her channel about a year ago but I haven’t watched her videos in awhile because she has become increasingly hyper sensitive to criticism. I nearly spit out my coffee when she said she was thankful for having thick skin. She most certainly does not.
Over the course of following her, she has done some things that have baffled me. She started a line of hair care products which according to her were successful, but she abruptly shut down her hair care business saying she didn’t have time to make, pack and ship her products. So why didn’t she hire a co-packer, provide the co-packer with her formulas, let the co-packer produce, package and ship her products so she could continue to make money of them?
Then she stopped doing hair and claimed she did so because new clients would book and then no-show. Well welcome to the industry, Cynbabydoll. Every stylist and nail tech deals with this problem. Make clients book with a credit card and when they no-show, charge them a no-show fee in accordance with your cancellation policy. But no, she shuts down her entire client list, including her long-term faithful clients who did show for their appointments.
Then she attempted to exploit the rice water craze and posted a video warning people that the arsenic in rice water will poison them. A very valid concern, but when people questioned her lack of research citing in her video, she told folks to google it for themselves. She then posted another rice water video, basically ranting against everyone who questioned her shoddy research on the first one. And when a RUclipsr who is a cosmetic chemist, posted a video about rice water, saying that the absorption of arsenic through rice water rinsing was negligible, she posted a 3rd video about rice water. She later admitted that she did the videos for the views. And she went off when people mentioned the dangers of relaxers, which she has on her hair.

@Katherine Miller - I've never subscribed to her, and the only video of hers I've ever watched was one of the rice water videos. I don't know which one, as I wasn't aware that she made several on the same topic. I've never even used rice water, and just viewed it as yet another trend that would eventually fade, so I clicked on her video out of curiosity. In the one I watched, she ended up defending relaxers when people started challenging her logic about claiming rice water was toxic but she has no problem with using chemical relaxers. That video alone was enough for me to never watch anything else of hers. She was going off and so were her followers. Anybody who said relaxers were dangerous was consider a "natural nazi" and all kinds of foolishness. She was just rude and childish and condescending. I haven't watched anything else of hers from that day to this one. When I clicked on this video of Narada's, I literally shook my head when I realized who he was talking about because I knew there was about to be some mess going on. I see her attitude hasn't changed a bit.

Narada THANK YOU. I don’t trust self-proclaimed ‘natural hairstylists’ that only straighten hair. Period. Natural kinky texture is foreign to them. Her mother should be disgusted with how cyndoll handled her hair. It’s one thing to damage the hair on your head and another to damage someone else’s hair. She knows cyn personally and that’s why she let her do it. No one would know you cancelled all those appointments unless you said it in the video. If that video was three hours long originally, the voice over should only talk about what is visible in the video, that cold shot comment should have been taken out.

I used to follow her a year ago. Shes a straight hairstylist (not a naturally curly stylist) and seems sweet. But shes very sensitive. She would make whole videos and rants on comments she took way left. I finally got enough of it and left.
This is another reason why I stopped going to the salon. Some stylist are rough with black hair.
I unsubscribed from her about a year ago, because her arrogance was starting to bother me. The way she talk to her subscribers like she's so intelligent and we're dumb. She's young and you can't tell her anything, she's a know-it-all. She talk mad ish about other stylists on her reaction videos, but no one can say anything about her🤷, go figure.

I just came across this video. I just learned about Cyn Doll approx six months. I was following her for a minute--until I noticed how often she contradicted herself from video to video. She is uncouth, unprofessional, ghetto, crude, immature, etc.
No. This ain't it. I'm no professional, but I know you have to work through the hair to detangle from the ends to the root. You have to take your time. You also definitely do not round brush dry without adequate detangling and in these huge sections. She was "angry detangling". Her energy was just bad. This is horrible.

Yeah, she can't compare that she reacts to videos on fails and you're reacting on videos of work stylist think are good because she isn't even showing a correct technique, with yours we gain knowledge of what to do and how to avoid stylist from damaging our hair. She knew she ripped through that girl's hair....I saw that video awhile back and most of the comments on the video at that time was people calling her out on it. But she doesn't seem to take constructive criticism well, I noticed. That's why I stopped watching her videos. Nobody knows everything. she seems so belittling in her comments and replying back to comments of people who don't agree with her methods. She's a hypocrite 💯.

I’ve been subscribed to her channel for a while. I watch very few of her videos because I can sense the attitude in her voice every time and I honestly can’t stand it! She low key throws shade all the time.

Just a little note,in her video did she not say,she doesn’t do little girls hair? Then in her written response she said she been doing the little girls hair for 5 years???...She was rough and as a natural myself,I don’t care how ‘matted’ her hair was,it doesn’t take that damn long to detangle! Plus it looked like she didn’t put any product on it to detangle..Just my observation..Lol..

She did a horrible job with that client and I've seen her videos in the past and could never understand why she used a metal round brush on her 4b/c clients but as I'm not a trained professional I kept quiet.
If anyone should be upset it should be her clients. Hopefully she reflects on this situation and makes adjustments for the sake of her clients.
I had a braider make a grave error with my hair (an updo ponytail) where the center braids where literally pulling my scalp in different directions. I had to take the braids down a couple of days later. When I shared my experience online she got mad at me (I didn't even disclose her details ). People need to accept that there is always room for improvement and constructive criticism is an opportunity for growth.

The horrible thing is that EVERYONE wants to complain about the poor standard of the cosmetology industry, but because the majority just accepts it and don't speak up and speak out it will never change. I'm trying to change the standard by making people more informed and aware of many of the bad standards that we choose to accept and deal with. The truth is that you DON'T have to deal with it. You have a choice!
Good them you took it down before it took your hair out...that happened to me but it was my cousins and microwave ponytail that took a small dime size of my hair out my scalp and it never grew back

It sounds like that lil girl was squeezed into her schedule and she was RUSHING so that she could tend to her other clients. I still didn't hear her explain why that baby CRIED and why she detangles her hair after DETANGLING her hair!! That video WAS A FAIL, that's why you reacted on it. Ugh, smh.

How about putting some moisturizing conditioner in her hair and then begin to finger detangle, that childs hair look like she didn't even wash it.
I was in the middle of a marathon of videos on her channel about a year ago and I unsubbed the same day I subbed because I didn’t like the comments she was making about natural hair that wasn’t silked out.
