I'm 55 years old and listened to rock, metal and hard rock as long as I can remember, I can't believe I never heard of Virgin Steele. I feel I lived a sheltered life, this band is just tremendous. What a sound, what a voice and vocal range. I'm so glad I couldn't sleep tonight and stumbled across the song "Queen Of The Dead". What an awesome song. Thanks Virgin Steele you guys just ROCK!
+Heinz Klemm I'd suggest you listen to their older stuff first: The Marriage of Heaven and Hell 1 & 2, Invictus, The House of Atreus 1 & 2. Are some of the finest metal! Give it a shot.
+Heinz Klemm 1985-2000's Virgin Steele is one of the greatest Metal band I've heard (and in 30 years into Metal, I've haerd pretty much everything), especially the streak of albums from the first "Marriage" to the final "Atreus", besides Symphony X, I don't know of a band who recorded so much top notch albums in a row, 5 near perfect albums (and considering that the previous ones were nothing less than excellent), even legends such as Iron Maiden or Metallica have build a worldwide success with lesser lesser than that... and that puzzles me, why Virgin Steele seems so much ignored ? "Invictus" is one of the most powerful albums I've ever heard, on par with Judas Priest's "Painkiller", absolute perfection from the first second up to the last one...
This album was really boring, but at least this song is actually comparable to their best works. I genuinely love this song and unfortunately it may the last great Virgin Steele song ever.
This would be a great song... with a different singer. David needs to wake up and realise he sounds awful now. He can still play keyboards in his band, just get a younger guy who doesn't wail over every solo to man the mic!
+MrMetallization He's way too presents, he covers everything... maybe to hide that everything's quite artificial, "Persephone" could be one of the greatest Virgin Steele's song... if it was really recorded by 5 real musicians, and if Pursino was actually playing all guitar tracks, which he obviously doesn't do since "Visions Of Eden"... in fact, this album could easily be on par with "Noble Savage" or "Age Of Consent", if it was recorded old school, with only real musicians playing every single track, without any computer assist... most of the songs are really cool, some aren't that far from being great (Lucifer's Hammer, Black Sun, Persephone, Glamour...), but everything sounds like a PC-made demo...
Debiruman1666 Yes, I understand, but I don't think I will ever listen to this album! Sound production is important, sometimes I don't really care (Black Metal) but when it's at the border with the ridicolous I care! Especially with this genre, for me this production is very very bad, it's annoying. And the most important part is David's voice, my ears bleed when I listen to him now... He should sing in another way.

Dave s a Genius. Always a Virgin Steele fan
One of the greatest songs i've ever heard. Masterpiece, unfortunately David's voice has gone.

Song would be god without the awful auto-tuned vocals.
+Kristian Dobson Agree, I'm very sad to say it, but Dave's vocals are getting very annoying...
+MrMetallization It's probably the best song on this mess of an album too, but it sure isn't another "Emalaith", that's for sure.
