Pequod's is one of my favourite places in Chicago! The cheese that's layered on the side of the pan gets caramelized and is just so crunchy and amazing.
@@CharlieMoney777 Detroit style is good. I feel Pequods is a marriage somewhat of Chicago deep dish and Detroit style. Its not traditional deep dish and not Detroit style; but combines a lot of the qualities of both pies.
Yup they are the Real Deal not the Chain Spiel. Been there just two times but wish it was more. Superfresh, authentic, made with love. Look at the juice, the colors and textures. Perfectly cooked. They're in a class of their own.
The pizza with the spinach on the bottom , then cheese, sauce, mushrooms🍄onions,🧅peppers, looked like some kind of peppers🫑 on it. That’s the one I want please!

But it's just a huge gut bomb of bread. If you want deep dish(this is pan pizza); head to pizanos . Legit awesome. Better than malnatis, in fact it's owned by the other brother lol

You guys took it way too literally. But I guess from that “lost in translation “ came a Chicago icon and 2nd most beloved pizza outside of the northeast, Phillly, NY, New Haven thin crust excellence. I will say this, Chicago is Italian sausage country. The northeast is pepperoni country for sure. We like sausage, you love sausage!!!

Place is great but for anyone reading this make sure to call and make a reservation they don’t do walk-ins anymore on the weekends.
Their garlic cheese bread is the best I’ve ever had. If you visit don’t waste your time with other deep dish joints, go straight to Pequod’s.
