Just a warning on the camo - its not as durable as the green and yellow, keep it out of sun, I've seen a number of faded used camo 835Rs at dealership. There is a cabin filter below glove box, easy to change. I highly recommend the back window screen to protect window from stuff in box hitting it or during loading, something bouncing and hitting the window. nice video, enjoy.
I actually sold the unit late last year. We wanted a 4 seater. The gator was good for what it was. It was made for farm work pretty much, and that's how we used it. We did take it on the trails "once". The Gators just don't have the power to get thru thick sand and up steep hills. Other than that, it was good. If I were to do it again, I'd probably go back to the Polaris Northstar, just because extra power with the engine...and lower price.
Jim that's really cool! For that price though I would probably want a diesel, but don't know how fast it would be. I think you can get a cheap entry priced Mercedes for that amount. wow
The diesels are verrry slow. Gas and diesel tow and have a bed capacity the same. I guess the only thing maybe better on the diesel is the longevity of the engine life.
@@jimbomaz Thanks for letting me know, I was wondering if the diesel was slow but yeah, good choice you made then! That is quite a machine, have fun and be safe!
Shawn, I sold the Polaris because when Covid hit, my business went to a standstill. I had to lower my bills. I did look at the Northstar again when I bought this unit, but there was no stock and the financing through John Deere was much better.
I really can't hear the clutch. I know the shocks still squeak though. The clutch does engage pretty rough. For these prices, they should be refined a bit, eh?
I don't think Deere thought non-business people would buy these things. They were designed for large farm/ranches when the accountant told them they needed a tax deduction and they didn't want to buy another pickup. 🙂

It’s pricey but man it’s gonna make your life way more enjoyable
I just my 2022 835r 3 weeks ago..love it. I just had best buy install a JVC 7 inch lcd screen stereo with two 6 inch speakers.
That's my next thing to do. How'd the radio install turn out?
Wow. Great video. Very helpful!
Great information. Thank you

We'll keep our fingers crossed!!!
Thanks for the video
Good Morning, How has the year been with the gator? Any regrets?

I'm looking at this unit I have the polaris northstar my question is what was the reason you sold the polaris. Thanks

It doesn’t bother you that after paying 30k your primary clutch rattles like an old piece of junk? I can hear it clearly. Mine does same thing

The kubota rtv 1100 is I better Machine the transmission last a lot longer so does the engine coming from a Deere guy
Is that a diesel? We don't have any Kubota dealers near me, so I didn't really look at the Kubota.
Isn't that crazy 31,000 you paid for it can't get a radio or even blinkers in the front ,good old John Deere how to penny anti ya 😣
Got that right. I could easily put another $1,000-2,000 into it for additional options. I'm not going to, but just saying they should come more equip.
