Chess. Worlds best board game.
WOW DRAWING A CHESS BOARD AND ITS PIECES TAKE A GREAT DEAL OF TALENT. VERY WELL DONE ! ! ! YOU HAVE THIS TALENT FOR SURE.
Thank you very much!
Thank you for this! You have just taught me how to draw chess pieces! I love drawing black and white squares but couldn't draw the actual peices. Now I see the technique and a new world opens up... I didn't realise how much I wanted to learn thus. Thanks again!!
Really nice and fun and educational
Ever since I started drawing you've been giving me a great start at drawing. Thank you.
That's awesome!
Just found your channel. You make it seem like anyone can do this, and I am picking up a pencil thanks to you. ❤
Thank you! Good to know:)
Great one!! You probably get requests all the time but I was wondering if you could do a billiard table top from this style of perspective, looking at it eye level with the top looking across the table. Thanks for videos.
Love this!

Does Tom listen to the music when he draws or what kind of music do you listen to
Hi, I like to listen to Philip Glass most times. It helps me concentrate and be in the moment.
Good
Amazing
Thanks:)
Thanks for your videos! Can you please explain how you got the height of the black king and queen relative to the white ones?
Thank you for the good question. Imagine or draw a line from the base of the white queen to the vanishing point used for the chessboard. And then imagine or draw another receding line from the top of the white queen to the same vanishing point. Now imagine or draw a vertical line on any of the squares where the queens base line is found. The vertical line should stop when it touches the top receding line, from the top of the white queen. This represents the height of the queen.
Now you can draw the black queen at the right height on any of these squares.
If you want the queen on another place on the chessboard, draw two horizontal lines, top and bottom, on where the piece is, as in one-point perspective shapes only change size when they come forward or back, not side to side.
Hope that helps, regards, Tom
🙌🏽
I love your work

How many inches in the beginning line and how far away are the dots?

Hello there, I love your drawings, Tom. Can you please draw a Piano?
Great suggestion! Thanks:)
Спасибо. Как всегда познавательно. Но есть одна существенная ошибка. Королева(Ферзь) любит свой цвет.
Sir one pencil drawing ghibli background.
White can mate in one move
