Thank you for this! You have just taught me how to draw chess pieces! I love drawing black and white squares but couldn't draw the actual peices. Now I see the technique and a new world opens up... I didn't realise how much I wanted to learn thus. Thanks again!!
Great one!! You probably get requests all the time but I was wondering if you could do a billiard table top from this style of perspective, looking at it eye level with the top looking across the table. Thanks for videos.
Thank you for the good question. Imagine or draw a line from the base of the white queen to the vanishing point used for the chessboard. And then imagine or draw another receding line from the top of the white queen to the same vanishing point. Now imagine or draw a vertical line on any of the squares where the queens base line is found. The vertical line should stop when it touches the top receding line, from the top of the white queen. This represents the height of the queen. Now you can draw the black queen at the right height on any of these squares. If you want the queen on another place on the chessboard, draw two horizontal lines, top and bottom, on where the piece is, as in one-point perspective shapes only change size when they come forward or back, not side to side. Hope that helps, regards, Tom

Thanks for your videos! Can you please explain how you got the height of the black king and queen relative to the white ones?

Great suggestion! Thanks:)
Спасибо. Как всегда познавательно. Но есть одна существенная ошибка. Королева(Ферзь) любит свой цвет.
