Outstanding video. My 72 Monte Carlo reads -15% full when its actually full despite a new sending unit, tank and gauge 90 ohm capacitor. I suspect that the new tank I installed was in fact larger than the old one.

What did you cut the pickup tubing with I’ve tried two cutting the tube and the ohms reading stopping giving feedback even though the wire and protective sleeving is good. Any recommendations?

We used a small tubing cutter. Open up the sender. We have some that did not read because it had missing, or damaged internals with the arm. Also check and make sure the arm is touching the resistor bar.

Rather than weld , can you fix a metal pipe to the side bracing the rubber hose?

I have a 68 El Camino. Fuel gauge is pegged full now. Worked great for 20 yrs, new wiring harness back then. Is the sensor in the tank or at the dash?

Anyone know if we can use a different gbody tank for a 70 impala tank? For some reason 70 impala tanks go for 380 and above yet a chevelle is only 150? Something ain’t right lol
