I remember seeing this after Notch posted about it on Tumblr a week after I started playing Minecraft. Now, ten years later, this little indie classic became the best-selling game of all time. Pretty freakin wild.
(character walks up to the "cake dispenser") Me: Dude, you're gonna die. 😐 (character goes on pressure plate and gets cake) Me: ...😕... Oh. (arrows rain from the sky) Me: !!!😞!!!
@Shadow14l It doesn't burn out, it just has to be set up correctly. The rapid pulser moves too fast normally, but if you place a switch or redstone torch near the dispenser it will work when getting either an off or an on signal from the pulsar, making it the fastest dispenser trigger possible. Check my videos for proof.
I sincerely wish I could figure out how to get through that 15-block limit for Redstone Wiring. I've seen the schematics, but I just plain don't get it. I dunno... In any case, awesome work!
@realisticHomeboy you don't pay a company to move servers thats just dumb, notch and his team do it themselves. Have you ever managed a server? Do you know the annoyingess of FTP, Webservers, Cloudscripts, etc. The list goes on, worst of all is IP changes and DNS changes (hopefully not.). You know nothing, so shut your face and be patient. Majong is a small company, not some booming industry like Blizzard or Jagex
@NicholasHawkingsTV try it...it's like playing with lego all over again...it has no purpose it's just creativity and fun...of course it look like shit but there are some patch to reskin the game look... I wish there was more options but the game is still in beta...Hope that helps :)
this is just completely epic. what would also be funny. the "free cake" dispenser fires out just 1 arrow. The person is then like, lol is that all you "OH MY GOD!" *dies* i also wonder if fire arrows have special properties, like more damage or setting things on fire. Or it it's just for effect.
@Tattas999 i play on tiny usually... My poor dinosaur of a desktop can't handle much else, not even half a gig of RAM, and it's single core. Our laptop is out of commision, ac jack is loose so we gotta get it repaired. I hope i don't come across one of these on my server i play on.
@Blindykid There are good PC games but they soon sell out to ps3, xbox or wii. Minecraft is one of the only pc game I go to everyday. The wii is good but it takes ages to find a game worth playing and because of my house's layout it takes ages to set up and the sensor keeps falling behind the TV in my kitchens tv. But there is war against PS3 and Xbox which is over rated and as soon as you get involved your having to keep up with it and keep fighting for your chosen console(s)
@Manmax75 I Agree. I suggest whomever else complains about the lack of promptness should be patient. He is upgrading, and migrating files to a server with new and different hardware is a pain. God forbid it's a RAID configuration too. Point is, give the man credit for coding the game. @realisticHomeboy if you're so anxious to play then go learn java and make your own minecraft. That's a realistic solution isn't it?

@pglAymer due to the beta patch 1.2 new items were released, like the thing that shot out cake can shoot out arrows, so behind the lava were a bunch of dispensers (what shot out cake) full of arrows and connected to that one pressure plate he stepped on which triggered all of those through redstone wiring underground and then the arrows fired

Overkill doesn't begin to describe this. This is like placing the kill on a trampoline, jumping over the kill, distracting the kill, kicking the kill towards the sun, flying past the kill, circling it three times... ...and then have the kill get shot by a gazillion arrows.

@ontheworld1 The specs of the PC don't really affect being able to connect to the website/server.... The problem is recurring and has been going on for months, not really acceptable considering the ease of purchasing an off the shelf solution...

@NicholasHawkingsTV its not about how it looks and you can get texture packs to improve that anyway its about the gameplay the customisation the exploration and sheer randomness and above all that its about having fun!

@TheMASSHER i think you need a lava wall in front of the dispenser so that when it shoots, the arrows go through the lava wall and catch on fire. im not 100% sure though

Would be more effective if you didn't need lava to make fire arrows.

It would be awesome is to make an indiana jones escape scene with the arrows shooting out of holes in the walls and dynamite detonating around you.
@GreeboSanders They were, if you look closesly, the lower level shoots first, and then it goes up. But the lower level does shoot again, and again.
Can you make a tutorial on how to do the fire arrow launcher thing? Cos it may come in handy when there are creepers or monsters chasing me...
