"Where is this Chinese settler going?", "If this Chinese settler settle here, it would be so annoying"... Meanwhile, "ohh.. Chinese settler might settle on that island, let's settle there then"
Marb, I love that you're playing Civ 5 again. I humbly ask that you stick with it and continue to use this Vox Populi mod until you can beat it on Deity. Thanks for the content brother.
I really want Marbz to try out the "Rise to Power" mod. It's another great mod that adds a lot of depth to the game. But sadly it isn't compatible with Enhanced User Interface.
If the trade value is in the negatives they might accept, but it will lower their opinion of you. If the value is in the positives, they will accept and it will raise their opinion of you. Might be worth getting a little less money for an opinion boost.
vox populi looks like it incorporates some of the elements that i really like about civ 6, which is pretty great because i've been wanting to play 6 but can't buy it yet. i guess i'll give this mod a try.
I'm not sure about in Vox Populi but in vanilla Civ the amount of turns a trade route lasts depends on game speed, not distance between cities. Trade route yields are dependent on the yields of the cities involved, so usually it's best to trade between the most developed cities.
I can't stand alexander's presence in any game. It always ends up beign an pain to kick him out of cs's, and he tends to have a massive army in emperor and upwards, and cover all the map with his shitty and inconveniently located cities. Have you ever made a game with spain Marbs? I think is not the case. Their UA is luck based, but i like the Conquistador to go crazy wide on small continents and archipelago maps.

Love vox populi. Adds so much more depth to the game!

Marbs, try to build the villages on roads, they give you more bonuses if you build them on the road.
Around 27:25, a plant causing science involving the drama and poetry tech? Was that plant later involved in the Voynich Manuscript? Haha
Justin Norman it has got to be marijuana.
"Grab the crab" sounds like an advertising catchphrase for a takeaway seafood restaurant.

To China, Marbs is Ramkhamtrollface.
As you may not be familiar with how Vox works it may be a good idea to turn on tile yields so that you don't miss anything,
my life was missing something, it was you playing civ 5 again
Heh. So apparently "spite tiles" are a thing!
VP Tip : Village on routes and trade routes have +1 gold and +1 production. Villages cannot be adjacent to each others.
Really like the vox populi series. I think it is a big upgrade from vanilla. Thank you.
Marbs, you can go to options and decrease the mouse over information delay to like 0,5 seconds, really helps out to see information faster on tiles.
It's always a good idea to grab the crab.
Watching civ 5 is very relaxing, yet it is also tense due to how far behind the AI he is.
pretty good selection of events! \o/
That settler just can't make up his damn mind.
The deity is not joke in this box pupil . The AI is much harder declare war each other,

I'm unfamiliar with Vox, what changes did it make that made city spamming like this viable?
YOu can BUy wonders Too with GOLD
Wow atolls rock! now

how is with units upkeep with vox populi? still grows with turns or is the fixed for units?
ok i need to ask something, when you send caravan to nearby cities, the route will be complated faster right ? could marbs use this to his advantage ?
That is the road mechanic in Civ 6. In Civ 5 you build roads with workers.
ummm i was talking about caravan's travel time to city and returning back :D
What do you mean by faster then? Faster as compared to what?
like caravan going from konya to nanjing rather than istanbul to beijing. maybe that way he can get more trade finishing bonuses
