Unless you are actually a professional gamer, serious content creators rarely have enough time to play games nearly as much as hardcore gamers. It just takes too much time to do 10+ quality uploads a month.
:-) Made it to the end, so am I one of the .01% who is with me at the end? I have to say, you played more different games in the last two years than I owned and played my entire life. And I began with a C64 back in early 90.
''First off we've got 7 ways to die, which i've played quite a bit'' ... *looks at own steam library with +1000 hours on some games* Is 60 hours considered a lot of gametime? Also, Skall doesn't have any favourites...
Well, running on a tighter budget makes on get more playtime out of the games one has. And that one 1k is Skyrim,so that's a given with modding :) (tho my Medieval 2 Total war isn't far behind)
Great job skalla you sure know what the people want! 38 minutes of unedited footage of you systematically talking about your steam library, now that's quality content. The king of entertainment
Why do you not have the Witcher series in your collection? Massive shock seen as you are fan of fantasy. You also always seem to dismiss question asked about the series. Why is that? If it's because you have no experience with the series then I really suggest having a go, it's hundreds of times better than the Elder Scrolls Series.
stannypk5k9 I wouldn't call it hundreds of times better. The actual combat and gameplay only became any good with 3, the only reason to even play the first one is for the amazing story and continuity between them all. I will give you that The Witcher 3 is better than any Elder Scrolls game, in graphics and lore vey much so, but I still have just as much or more fun playing oblivion and skyrim as I do the Witcher series
I see you don't have such problems as I do. More than half the games you have are installed. For me that ratio is around 10% that's why I started a YT series on randomly picking and playing my games, always one at a time :)
The irony Skallagrim is that I actually do a weekly series where I play a game on Steam which I've never played, but has been in my library for awhile. Is that self-promoting? IDK, I just thought it was ironic that you published your video showing off your Steam library *on my actual birthday* and I created a series where I try to solve the problem of having ostensibly good Steam games that I've never even played.
I think most people like Dishonored just because it has really good swordplay...And story...And replayability...And physics...I love Dishonored so much!!!!!!!!!
Hey Skall, was pretty happy to see that you have Battle Brothers and I would also highly recommend you to give it an other try as the game is now finished and polished out. I'm sure you'll enjoy it now c:
Don't know if we get it to the end? My dude, if this video had another hour beside these 38min i'd still watch it till the end. I love hearing your opinion about all these games. I see u have a few of might and magic stuff, did u tried any heroes of might an magic? It is well known HoMM 3 is one legendary game ever, i think you should try it if u are in a mood of a turn base/strategy game with insane atmosphere. Also about Nosgoth, i think it is dead, i played it a bit myself and was quite interesting.
LOL. i really feel bad for having 2k hours in mortal kombat X now, hahahaha... (BTW, do you play titan quest?, it's the best game in the world for me, and diablo 2 obviously) Greetings from argentina!
*Sees Dark Souls 3 not beaten* The end is nigh! Everything is a Lie! Soylent Green is people! Unsubscribe! *Sees Mount & Blade: Warband installed* Alright, alright, let's just all calm down, I'm sure we're overreacting, we can't judge a man based only on the games he is playing. *Hears critique of Renowned Explorers* BURN THE HERETIC! KILL THE MUTANT! PURGE THE UNCLEAN! How dare you not like what I like!
I recommend, immensely, that you try out these games: 1. Divinity - Original Sin 2 (This is a game that for me is a 9.8/10 and ONLY isn't a 10/10 because of the weird way it ends, but otherwise it's a CRPG masterpiece that does so much right and pulls you in so hard, it's a MASSIVE game world with expansive dialogue trees (all voice acted, fairly well too), a pretty great turn based combat system, class systems, character creation, online co-op where you literally can go through the entire game with your friends knowing only one of you will ascend to godhood at the end.. it's a very good game. The first title is very well made too.) 2. Tyranny / Tyranny: Overlord Edition (This game has one of the best morality based stories I've ever seen, it's a game full of evil and wrong-doing with you on the side of the ultimate bad guy, where often times doing the 'right' thing still results in great suffering and tragedy for all those involved and doing the 'wrong' things are just.. plain fucking evil. You can go on a 'good' path of sorts, but depending on the choices you make at the start of the game, you could very well be locked out of this path. It's a great CRPG that takes place in a conquest / war setting.. wonderful title.) 3. Pillars of Eternity I & II (There has been no other CRPG since the Baldur's Gate series (which this feels like a very faithful spiritual successor of sorts to) that truly made me feel like I was in a 3D, live action game of D&D like this one did. Fantastic role-playing experience with SOOOO much to do and a very interesting take on the typical tabletop rulesets you typically see in these types of games, both are great but the recently released second title is phenomenally good.) (This and Tyranny are made by the same company, Obsidian, the people who rose from Black Isle studios, the creators of the original Fallout games. They also made New Vegas.) 4. Abandon Ship (A very cool take on the whole FTL style of play, though this game doesn't tend to suddenly fuck you over due to bad luck or RNG like FTL does so often, but it can still fuck you up so don't think it's easy by any means. Only this time around, it's with pirates and stuff while you try to escape this cult that has some cool Lovecraft themes to it.. just a fun game.) 5. Prey / System Shock 2 (Both are space-set, survival horror action RPG titles of sorts with unique settings and such. System Shock 2 can be brought out of its '90's game' shell with a number of easily installed mods but even without the mods the game is an absolute classic that still has the ability to make me jump out of my seat at times simply due to the excellent way it builds tension and atmosphere. I don't find Prey to be as 'scary' per-say, but it's still a wonderful game in the same vein as SS2 only much more modern and streamlined.) Seeing your library, I think you'd at least be interested in these games and might want to give them a shot, I REALLY think you'd love Tyranny and Abandon Ship, though.
Just got my PC around 3 weeks ago and i love steam! I so far have 28 hours on destiny, 16 on Terriaria, 11 on CSGO, 10 on Dirty Bomb, 6 on Ark, and then like 10 on other games lol. I don't have nearly the amount of hours you do.
Skall: payday2 isn't bad but it hasn't quite done it for me... Me: OMFG did he really just say that!? Btw. I love the game and already have played it for over 400 hours :-) (yes I know that everybody has their own opinion on things)
I have that same headset so I've gotta ask, how is the mic on yours? Mine is terrible so I was curious if it was just mine or if that's just how that headset's mic is.
The first time I played Undertale it was fun. The second time it was beautiful. The third time was heartbreaking. Those who has done the same know what I'm talking about.
have you heard of Sword Master VR for the HTC Vive? I'd like to hear your take or your take on such a game...I'd especially like to see how you fare with your swordfighting skills :-) ...but then again, you'd need to find access to the HTC Vive
That is an "issue" with Steam Sales, half of the games you never play. Disgaea can be a fun series; however it is also a huge grind, and can be a bit over the top, you can start to do trillions of HP worth of damage (after many many hours)
You really need to get Witcher 2 or 3, with all the medieval RPG titles you have, you won't regret playing it/them. Which faction were you on APB, Criminal or Enforcer? Also, you seem to have taste for Dungeon RPG games, I recommend "Enter the Gungeon" I wouldn't categorize it as "dos graphics", it is a top-down 2D game.
Dude if you want to try again on Skullgirls tell me ! I realy love this game ! And btw try to buy the " 2nd encore " version ( 5.99€ on steam sales ) it add 5 characters and some reference palette color, plus voiced story mod ^^ The game is amazing please give it another try !!!
Most likely. It caused quite a lot of back-lash due to it Legacy of Kain universe, but not about actually it. A lot of people were pissed that we didn't get the new SP game. And while I do agree that better way to do it was to make a SP game with a good MP twist to it, it's still kinda hurts, because I thought game was quite interesting even if simplistic at times.
Yeah, player base was just very small, and imo microtransactions were too costly so few bought them. Plus they had a lot of really bad, obvious bugs, that should be a quick fix -- but they'd leave those bugs around for months.
@Kachi AT sadly, the protest of Nosgoth likely killed the Legacy of Kain unless Square Enix sells the rights. Thats two failed games in a row for Legacy of Kain, a lot of lost revenue.
Square didn't advertise the game at all, and Psyonix realized that Rocket League was pulling in more cash so they just phoned in the development for Nosgoth.
blazblue also has a great story... well, that is if you can understand it, it's quite convoluted, one of the most confusing game stories in the entirety of the gaming industry(and yet easier to understand than how it is to know how many clones are in kingdom hearts and who is who) also CS2 is way better than CT, then again, i still have to play the other 2 titles, which i really should considerin lambda, nu and kokonoe are my favorite characters of the series... also disgaea is pretty insane and has one of the longest tutorials, it's understandable if you couldn't get into it, it takes quite a long time to understand how the game works and how you should play, and the story proceeds slowly too because of that. regarding undertale: that's the point, it's a good game because of the story, the gameplay itself while original it's nothing incredible, though it does allow for interesting interactions with the characters, you should at least reach the final mettaton battle before judging, though doing at least one ending would be ideal. i have a feeling you're the kinda guy who would hate visual novels if they have even the slightest hint of gameplay, as that would change your mindset(at the same time i have no clue how you didn't like dishonored, i cannot think of a single reason why that would be)
if you like Player vs Environment crafting survival game, I would recommend Conan Exiles... maybe it's not very good at this (early access) state, it's abit buggy and stuff, but I recommend trying it after the 16th of August free expansion update
skall, for your gaming channel, why not live stream some gaming that youre already doing. record for an hour and it will automatically upload. your gaming vids are sweet.
With Besiege, when I played it, it honestly felt like youtuber bait to me. It wasn't actually that fun to play, and I like puzzles.. it just didn't feel like there was much of a 'game' there.
Shadowrun Returns was really mediocre, and more of a starting platform for the devs after their Kickstarter. However, I definitely recommend giving the other 2 games in the series at least a try (Dragonfall and Hong Kong), because they have improved on pretty much *everything* that was lackluster in Returns. Gameplay, writing, characters, story... etc. Dragonfall is my personal favourite. Nothing beats the atmosphere of Anarchist Cyberpunk Berlin. :)
battle brothers is actually really good, and it is a finished game now. I ecspecially like the morale, terrain, weapon and armor system, it is pretty realistic to some extent, you should give it another go darkest dungeon has a new vampiric dlc released for a month now, with a new area, enemies, bosses, ang a hero. i just love how epicly dark this game lol last but not least, maybe you want to give dragon age: origins a try. in my opinion it is even better than divinity 2. and of course, the witcher 3
If you like Diablo, I can really recommend Torchlight and Torchlight 2 even more. It's made by the Diablo 2s developers. (Sry for English which is not that good)
I can tell you're more into action and gameplay than story driven experience. Now I get why you don't like Witcher series... or Undertale P.S. Why you didn't say a word about M&B With Fire and the Sword?
+ComradeStirner I don't know what's your definition of "decent" but surely Witcher series in terms of gameplay is far better than "decent". I mean for fuck sake, the W3 minigame Gwent could be stand alone game... wait a minute... it is now.
So umm, am i the only one that got my steam search bar and wishlist ready too just add any games he mentioned that i found remotely interesting? thanks skall, you just inflated my wishlist xD
58 hours "I played this game quite a bit"
YOU GOTTA GET THOSE NUMBERS UP
Me playing quite a bit is about 1000 hours + ...
By that definition I've only played RuneScape and Terraria quite a bit. And I'm a pretty hardcore gamer.
Haha I have like 4000 hours of Dota 2 and I haven't played it in months
It becomes a lot less when the adult life starts :P
Unless you are actually a professional gamer, serious content creators rarely have enough time to play games nearly as much as hardcore gamers. It just takes too much time to do 10+ quality uploads a month.
"Got it on sale, barely played it"
Yeah, that's how it is with almost 40% of my library
Same here...
Same with most of my steam games XD
Same but almost 90%
Son, I a m disappoint. Where the hell are the Witcher games?! You're truely breaking my heart, Skall.
Dmitry Rudyuk And you're truly breaking my mind with your bad spelling
It's a meme, dude. Try googling it.
And btw, i'm not a native english speaker, so misspelling can occur sometimes.
Dmitry Rudyuk Shit, sorry then fam
Np
And then they fucked
Steam doesn't count time if you play offline... just saying
CunningLinguist It doesn't if you actually go offline and not just in offline mode
really old comment but doesnt that mean you could buy a game then play it for more than 2 hours then refund it with no reprocautions
i doubt it ;p
Where the fuck is Pommel Souls: End Him Rightly Edition?
:-) Made it to the end, so am I one of the .01%
who is with me at the end?
I have to say, you played more different games in the last two years than I owned and played my entire life. And I began with a C64 back in early 90.
**looks at 3500h mount and blade warband **
yeee
hear hear 1k hrs here
2,6k here ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
1.2k on this computer.
"I think (Rome II) is better than the first one."
Only a pommel-joke could reinstate my faith in you Skall.
He is a heretic.
''First off we've got 7 ways to die, which i've played quite a bit'' ...
*looks at own steam library with +1000 hours on some games*
Is 60 hours considered a lot of gametime?
Also, Skall doesn't have any favourites...
Depends how much you value your time
You've clearly got more time on your hands than I do. :)
Well, running on a tighter budget makes on get more playtime out of the games one has. And that one 1k is Skyrim,so that's a given with modding :) (tho my Medieval 2 Total war isn't far behind)
Depends on the game. 50 hours is a lot for a single player game, but it's nothing for an mmorpg.
Skyrim, Total war games (older ones)..... those eat up hours :)
Thank you for this Skallagrim. Definitely some games I did not know of that sounds interesting. Need to find some more info on those.
Great job skalla you sure know what the people want! 38 minutes of unedited footage of you systematically talking about your steam library, now that's quality content. The king of entertainment

valdris86 Elder Scrolls Lore is really good. But it's work to get the background stories...
Don't missunderstand me, I love the Witcher 3!
stannypk5k9 maybe he owns it on GOG.
take your time, I'm fine with over an hour video since sometimes I just dont have better things to do
made it to the end bitch
7 days to die - respect Skall, I love this game!
I always get happy seeing somebody else who likes a Blazblue
If you can stomach a more light-hearted approach to vikings, you should try Valhalla Hills. Very interesting resource management game.
I see you don't have such problems as I do. More than half the games you have are installed. For me that ratio is around 10% that's why I started a YT series on randomly picking and playing my games, always one at a time :)

I'm sure you'll enjoy it now c:
mount & blade: warband - medieval conquest mod, it adds so so much
All i can look at is his magnificent beard
No age of empires? :(
Caleb Pendergast I feel you bro... this is a channel oriented on swords and medieval type weapons, why no aoe(you mean 2 right?) ?
while i do agree with you, he said he is not into strategy games anymore or like he used to be, so maybe that's why
"It`s not quiet my thing."
Sorry Skall.... maybe next time.
Don't know if we get it to the end? My dude, if this video had another hour beside these 38min i'd still watch it till the end. I love hearing your opinion about all these games.

Dark Souls III is amazing.
I recommend, immensely, that you try out these games:

Hey Skall, I don't know if you would want to do it, but I think it would be interesting to see a video where you talk about the specs on your PC.
Hurray for similar game tastes! Resource management and RPGs FTW!
Skall: payday2 isn't bad but it hasn't quite done it for me...
Me: OMFG did he really just say that!?
Btw. I love the game and already have played it for over 400 hours

u made my day :p
Like 20 years ago he said he was going to make a video on M&B Warband. Still waiting
Darkest dungeon. Nais. If you want a real classic that is close to my heart, I reccomend Return to the castle wolfenstein :)
PanzerDrag00n Second this skill should play it!
Based on the games you played, you should try Factorio and NEO Scavenger, I am sure you'd like these two.
have you heard of Sword Master VR for the HTC Vive? I'd like to hear your take or your take on such a game...I'd especially like to see how you fare with your swordfighting skills :-) ...but then again, you'd need to find access to the HTC Vive
Skall, start playing Paradox games. You need around 100-150 hours just to learn the basics in them.
Ain't nobody got time for that.
You should try Europa Universalis or Crusader Kings II
Here's a suggestion: Play Expedition: Viking. There's a character there who looks oddly familiar.
You have so many games installed damn
I would enjoy watching a lets play on dark souls 3, but from the begging though not from where you stopped. Even might help you if you want it.
Oh, Valkyria Chronicles! That's one of my favourite games.
You don't have The Witcher 3? Maybe on another platform?
Dude if you want to try again on Skullgirls tell me ! I realy love this game ! And btw try to buy the " 2nd encore " version ( 5.99€ on steam sales ) it add 5 characters and some reference palette color, plus voiced story mod ^^ The game is amazing please give it another try !!!
You should get Gothic and 2. For 2001/2002, it has a very good combat system. Also a very good story, basically an early version of the Witcher games.
Don't bother trying Nosgoth again, its literally dead. Developers took the servers down awhile ago.
What happened? Were there just not enough players?
Most likely. It caused quite a lot of back-lash due to it Legacy of Kain universe, but not about actually it. A lot of people were pissed that we didn't get the new SP game.

kind of bummed out you did not have The Witcher 3 there.
kind of proud to be a part of the 0.01% though!
Maybe he owns it on GOG
You don't have any title from Paradox studio ? Like Europa Universalis, or Crusader Kings ? You might likes these games
Dust is one of my favorite games ever.
This feeling when you have 500+ hours on quite a few games...
You should totally try Battle Brothers again. It's very enjoyable now
blazblue also has a great story... well, that is if you can understand it, it's quite convoluted, one of the most confusing game stories in the entirety of the gaming industry(and yet easier to understand than how it is to know how many clones are in kingdom hearts and who is who)

Word of advice on Just Cause 2, just use grappling hook and parachute, as fast or faster than most land vehicles
ayy just cause fan, excited for just cause 4❓
I knew he'd have mount and blade:Warband.
Will you player Mount and Blade: Bannerlord when it comes out?
No bad rats?
People of the internet, you know what to do...
if you like Player vs Environment crafting survival game, I would recommend Conan Exiles... maybe it's not very good at this (early access) state, it's abit buggy and stuff, but I recommend trying it after the 16th of August free expansion update
I've spent 700 hours on civ v
wow
Im glad Skall dosent have Warframe yet because if he sees the War and Galatine
He'll be roasting the Communities favorite weapons XD
skall, for your gaming channel, why not live stream some gaming that youre already doing. record for an hour and it will automatically upload. your gaming vids are sweet.
If you like 7 Days, you'll love Dying Light. It's everything good about zombie survival games and none of the bullshit that holds them back.
when you have more hours in mount&blade than Skallgrim in every game he played
Kommentatus Cosades I really like your icon. I made a comment here on how SKall should try return to the castle wolfenstein.
he definitly should :D
yeah I was such a big supporter of The Dead Linger, sad what happened to it.
Getting Project Zomboid on Desura so that you can smash head in the early days. Try not to use the pillow...
Skall have you hear of Crusaders Kings 2. Based on you other channel I think it would be down your ally.
7 days to die... You know what all these zombie games need? Surprise werewolf!
Great video !
With Besiege, when I played it, it honestly felt like youtuber bait to me. It wasn't actually that fun to play, and I like puzzles.. it just didn't feel like there was much of a 'game' there.
Nioh just came to steam would you ever consider giving that ago
i want to see a dark souls playthrough from skall. or at least a few episodes
Jesus skall, you have a lot of games
Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition is all you need on Steam
Shadowrun Returns was really mediocre, and more of a starting platform for the devs after their Kickstarter. You should try awesomenauts again, you will probably get into it once you learn how to play it
battle brothers is actually really good, and it is a finished game now. I ecspecially like the morale, terrain, weapon and armor system, it is pretty realistic to some extent, you should give it another go
darkest dungeon has a new vampiric dlc released for a month now, with a new area, enemies, bosses, ang a hero. i just love how epicly dark this game lol
last but not least, maybe you want to give dragon age: origins a try. in my opinion it is even better than divinity 2. and of course, the witcher 3
If you like Diablo, I can really recommend Torchlight and Torchlight 2 even more. It's made by the Diablo 2s developers. (Sry for English which is not that good)
I can tell you're more into action and gameplay than story driven experience. Now I get why you don't like Witcher series... or Undertale
P.S. Why you didn't say a word about M&B With Fire and the Sword?
ComradeStirner
>Undertale
>Decent
Pick one.
+ComradeStirner I don't know what's your definition of "decent" but surely Witcher series in terms of gameplay is far better than "decent". I mean for fuck sake, the W3 minigame Gwent could be stand alone game... wait a minute... it is now.
my pc can’t even run TF2
I made it to the end haha!
Alien Swarm Reactive Drop you didn't bought because it's free lol. It's the continuation of Alien Swarm, which is also free and made by Valve.
Vikings - wolves of Midgard seems to be a great game too
So umm, am i the only one that got my steam search bar and wishlist ready too just add any games he mentioned that i found remotely interesting? thanks skall, you just inflated my wishlist xD
Would you like a tanks simulator like War Thunder? I'd be glad to have you play on my side :)
I only have 6 games right now but I only started using steam again in December
You never gave a reason why you started disliking Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.
I'd be interested in knowing more about it.
I'd guess it's because of how cheap certain things feel in Chivalry, such as rainbows and slow/fast cuts.
Yep, that.
Well I don't know you but watched the whole thing, maybe just out of curiosity
I'm part of the .01%!
how do you not have europa universalis 4? Its a must have for history obsessed strategy lovers.
im surprised at the last of ck2 and eu4. If I was to bet on any game he'd have those would definitely be it.
Me on Europa Universalis IV - 2200 hours
Its ok
FTL - 577 hours on Steam, probably double that is my actual count...
seems like you got a game collection addiction.
Holy shit you have the same headset as me!!!
holy shit how many games do you own??
Not enough
Skall, how about an overwatch video?
Yep, I'm planning to do that. Still too much of a newb though. :)
Do you try Dwarf Fortress? i think its your type of game but maybe you found it a little to incoherent
I still don't know why the devs keep the symbol graphics. It really just makes it hard to get into.
graphics packs could help
WHAT ARE YOUR PC SPECS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
