    I would just like to see cars from the Forza games on 360 make a return; people have been waiting ages for the Gumport Apollo to return and I really miss the more standard variants of cars like the Ferrari 599 and the LP640 Murcielago in the game. It's kinda infuriating how T10 insists upon either skipping over or outright abandoning perfectly good and cool cars in favor of their "latest and greatest" varients to the point where the car list feels almost incohesive. We have the Carrera GT and Ferrari Enzo repping 2000s high-performance supercars, so why do we have the Zonda Cinque roadster (a car in a completely different performance class) but NOT the Zonda F?

      It is really ridiculous. It's even worse when they update cars and fail to carry over the visual upgrades provided for the older version of the exact same car. The early 2010s version of the Shelby is (if not for the taillights) completely identical between Forza Motorsport 4 and Forza Motorsport 5/6/7, and yet despite that fact, all the custom bumpers for the car were abandoned. With regards to your point, older variants of car like the Jaguar XKR, BMW Z4, and Chevrolet Camaro have all made a return in the past few forza games, so signs are looking good for a return of more cars from the 360 era in Horizon 5!

      @@dankswank9088 it is nice that the older cars are slowly coming back, but I worry about the rate these cars are returning (it seems pretty slow tbh). Also, the update options on older cars STILL aren’t back! I just hope that a lot of the list of cars and upgrades the devs keep talking about include these older models.

      @@grahamspain2947 Hoping for the best is all we can really do for the time being. That said, cars included in Motorsport but not in Horizon tend to have a large number of cars left behind on 360 added via dlc (2003 Honda S2000, old Ferrari FXX, etc), so even if the game does not get these cars from the start, there's still a possibility that they will arrive later on. If not, that's all the more reason for modders to come in and do it themselves - once microsoft is no longer selling the game, of course; we would never condone going against microsoft's ant-modding stance ;)

      @@dankswank9088 Lol why does microsoft even care if people mod the game? I get mods that boost performance and stuff while playing online but if somebody uses mods to take a car like the Renault Clio V6 and put into a game that doesn't have it like Horizon 3, what's the harm? The Mercedes SLR mclaren isn't in horizon 4 but mods could put it in. I dont see the harm tbh.

      @@grahamspain2947Playing offlineand/or in single player, yeah; there is absolutely no valid reason for the game to lack mod support (Horizon 5 said that it had mod support on the official steam page until the official FAQ clarified that they did not condone modding in any way, shape, or form (probably lost a few preorders off of that)). The thing is microsoft wrongly sees it as a slippery slope that will not only lead to cheating in multiplayer and lost sales in current and future horizon games ("if they can just mod the game, they won't feel the need to buy the new one"), both of which are beliefs without actual data backing them up. In fact, Ubisoft even admitted in 2014 that piracy on PC was such a negligible factor in their sales that, as a result, they would do away with always on DRM with their new releases (they later broke their promise and put DRM back into every game a few years later). Ultimately, once the limited licensing agreement ends and the game is pulled from storefronts, the only semi-valid argument against modding Forza games on PC goes straight out the window because there is no longer any way for them to make money off of the game anymore, essentially making mods completely OK. So yes, simply put, there will be absolutely nothing wrong with a player using mods to add a Mercedes McLaren SLR to Horizon 4, and the same goes with 5 once it's unsellable. To be honest, we don't really se anything wrong with modding now considering that so many cars in the game are needlessly walled off behind pointless busywork and arbitrary real-world time constraints X(

    Is this a reupload? I swear I watched this video before. I even remembered stuff before it was said

    • @dankswank9088
      @dankswank9088  3 года назад +4

      It is; the original video was uploaded at an unfortunate time (just before Forza's official page uploaded their video) and got completely buried by the algorithm (it didn't even show up in the search results for Horizon 5 after a day or two). As a result, and with the opportunity to fix some editing problems, we decided to re-upload it while the info was still relevant.

    For anyone who might be wondering how the Forza Horizon 2 footage at 8:59 is running at 60 frames per second, we wish we could say it was running at that framerate in real life; we used frame interpolation in our rendering software to create intermediate frames for the 30fps footage to make it 60fps. It's honestly really disappointing that the game is still stuck at 30fps, especially considering that so many games from the Xbox one era running on the series x have the framerate boost option that allows them to go anywhere from 60fps to 120fps. This game could absolutely run at a higher framerate on the newer hardware; what keeps Microsoft from giving it the greenlight is an absolute mystery...

      Maybe they could do what that one guy did with bloodborne on PS4 where they dropped the resolution to 720 and got 60fps

    • @dankswank9088
      @dankswank9088  3 года назад

      @@grahamspain2947 That would be great, though such a solution depends upon cracking the console (a task that to the best of our knowledge has yet to be achieved on the Xbox Series X). If it can be done, we're for it, but pressuring the devs and microsoft to implement it themselves (a la 4K in Horizon 1) is probably the best solution as of this moment...

    Believe it or not forza Motorsport 1 and 2 had paintable calipers, so not sure why they removed it
