Great video! About how long did it take you? Myself and a friend are doing it this year in September. I've heard it's mostly climbing with very little opportunities to run. That looks to be true? I did a Beast in NC years ago in November, and the weather was the worst part -- but I've heard Vermont is about the toughest one on the schedule.
Thanks for watching! I finished in 7 hrs 6 min. Which was 1106/2222 of the open heats. Literally right at average. It’s about 90% climbing which I was not prepared for. It’s by far the hardest race I’ve ever done, but well worth it. Good luck to you and your friend!
I was at this Beast too! I’m signed up for the next one on September 14th. Great video of the course. I had a few really horrible moments during the course where I felt like I had nothing left in me. Still, it is so AWESOME in the most monumental sense of the word. You did great on the obstacles by the way. 🙂
@@justinl8220Since I did the Beast last year I have an idea of which obstacles will give me the most trouble. Still, the distance is rough with an uphill section that never seemed to end. I’m doing extra for endurance right now. I have to remind myself to slow down too so I’m not dropping so often. It’s going to be incredible! Best of luck to you on Race Day!
@danfortier9312 I entered into this one as well and have been doing the training program. I'm on a work assignment in rutland and hopefully all my training up to then will help me to get through but it does look tough and fun.
@@YurAvgGymBro Haha it wasn't easy but that was my 2nd Ultra so I knew all I had to do was refuel, close the bucket, and get back out there. Took me a little over 12hrs. Thanks for filming, I like going back and seeing the races. I run Age Group, so I never get to record anything.
Obstacles might be slightly different in each location & distance. You might not get all the same obstacles in Spain's Beast, that you'll get in UK. Or for example, gaps between Monkey Bars will be bigger in a Super race than they are in Sprints.

I signed up for that too. How much are y’all training? I am pretty fit but have not ran over 5 miles before.

I'm curious what the completion % on Ape Hanger was. I saw 1 person get through it besides my buddy and I while we were at the obstacle.
Did they have that Tarzan swing under the bridge?
No 😔. I think it had something to do with flooding.

There was no beater but I failed to record several of the obstacles including the twister and the box
