I can remember my homie coming to the bus stop back in 89 with the OG’s on and had all of us in amazement! It’s something about that Nubuck that hit different with the cement grey and red that makes it better but the leather is decent so ima need em 2x 👌🏾👌🏾 and 🔥 video Jay!
OG’s are always OG’s no question.. But for the sake of comfort and the nice leather that’s going to wear nicely, I may have to go with The Reimagines🤭 ( but mainly since I don’t have the 2019’s). Salute Jay , dope on feet like always!
Reimagines are a most cop for me definitely. I never got the OGs but I love that leather material. Jay keep doing your thing and allow us to see what upcoming kicks look like compared to what we see in pics 💪🏼🔥🔥

I love the reimagined pair on their own, they look great. But I have to admit, the nubuck is so clean it'll always get my vote. Wouldn't stop me from grabbing the reimagined, though. Especially if they're so comfortable you know just from putting them on. That's always the sign of a great shoe imo. Loving the vids, man. You've inspired me to be more adventurous with lace swaps. And now I'm never going back.

@@watchmyepics if I remember correctly durabuck was blended leather, polymers, and tpu coated which allowed the nap to be soft yet hold its rigidity to moisture. Essentially a more synthetic version of leather board. At least that’s what the cross section looked liked under a microscope. During my leather working course I thought that was interesting, but nobody could confirm it since Nike won’t speak about lol. Just as a sneaker guy and leather lover I would love to see Nikes details on it

They’re getting the OG shape better but I’ll really be impressed when they can recreate the synthetic Durabuck. It’s like nubuck but has a shine that almost looks like leather. Nubuck is too dark and leather is too shiny. Durabuck was right in between.

I’m hoping the shoe being shaped different will help the wide-footers like myself. I’m true size 12.5, so I usually end up getting a size 13 in most shoes, and it works, but 4s have never fit me so I’ve never owned a pair.
I think the leather looks better outdoors because it's a little shinier than the dull nubuck. Outdoors leather wins, indoors nubuck wins. The fit was on point for this one!

I’ve BEEN trying to make myself love the reimagined 4’s leather BUT I just can’t. The suede is why the Royal 1’s sat; I still eventually copped them for the low of $135 tho (WIN). The reimagined 4’s will sell out because it’s a 4 and the colorway is iconic BUT the nubuck is still KING!
These are so clean. I think I like the leather over the nubuck. The leather looks more luxe or maybe it's the new sneaker head in me because I have no nostalgia towards the nubuck, but they both look great regardless and it's only a minor difference between the two. To control and manage my sneaker addiction I choose not to buy any 4s 😅. I have the thunders, but sold my crafts and lightnings. Haven't found a colorway that can replace the thunders, but the toe area are uncomfortably tight on the 4s and the 4s are really hyped now, which is why I decided this was the silhouette I won't buy from Jordan brand.

That shape and material sells it for me. Love both but reimagined for the win for me.
The nubucks are cleaner for sure but the leather joints are more wearable year round for us in cities with crazy weather.
