Found your channel a few weeks ago, quite by accident, and am so glad I did, as I have always been a massive lover of all animals, One 3yr old Rough Collie Sonny, One rescue 3yr old Cavalier king charles spaniel Simba, one 4 yr old toy poodle April, and my daughters 1yr old rescue Chihuahua Hercules. 3 Ragdoll cats and 1 maine coon cat. 2 Hamsters (rescues), 4 Rescue Guinea pigs!! Up until 5 years ago, we used to breed our Ragdoll cats, we used to breed on a very small scale, as they were our pets first and foremost, we were registered and had attended seminars on the breed, at this time, there were very few breeders of Ragdolls in the Uk, one tip to determine pregnancy before a vets scan or it becomes obvious, due to the cats expanding tummy, is around 21 days after the mating has happened, the girl will "pink up" this is when breeders turn there cats over and look at the nipples, they will literally glow, happens everytime, and if that happens, you can be sure that the cat is having kittens. Just thought I would share that with you. But like I said I am so glad to find your channel, for the fantastic homes that you show, made from Ikea furniture and Bin storage containers. I always wanted a hamster as a child, but my parents would not let me, this was because my sister who was 12 years older than me had been given one by a relative (she never really wanted one) and she would not look after it, so the care was left to my parents, so even though I really wanted one, for years it was a firm "No", until I was asked to look after my parents friends Goats, while she was on holiday, after that I was given age 14 a gerbil.
When I had children , they both had Hamsters and they cared for them very well, this reminded me just how much I love the small little pets, so when we stopped breeding the Ragdolls 5 years ago, I contacted our local animal shelter and found that they were often over run with unwanted Hamsters, Guinea pigs, gerbils etc, so I have been taking some of the more difficult to re-home little ones. We have now subscribed and this weekend......we are off to Ikea. Michelle (chell) x

I am very glad that you guys are able to take care of the kittens :) ... I used to work at a Spay and Neuter clinic a few months ago, and we used to perform quite a few abortions probably once every month, my first day of working there- I never worked in a vet clinic before this time so it was already very stressful and I cried for hours and hours after seeing that, this cat did have ALOT of health issues so we thought it would be best. Then on my last day of work we were preforming one but it turned out that the kittens were full term and so the vet decided to preform an emergency C-section, so I spent the rest of my last day keeping two newborn kittens warm while the mom woke up from anaesthetic. The mom had two very healthy kittens, one which the owner kept and another which the vet kept... it was a very happy moment I loved that place to pieces... I love happy endings like this

Awwwww so glad the birth went well and the kittens are doing great! SQUEEEE A NEW KITTEN! I adore cats, there are so many abandoned or dumped at rescues here as well and they are really low maintenance and affordable here too. I think as long as he's brought up with Jack you won't have any problems. Our cats being raised by us and indoors don't have any hunting skills whatsoever lol and often snuggle up with our rabbits, groom them etc. Kittens can be feisty so teaching him to be gentle around Jack will be a great start. Congrats on the new fur baby! :)
I'm soooooo super happy for you!!! All of the kitties are so cute! I'm so excited to see cat care videos. I'm very knowledgeable of cats but I'd LOVE to learn anything more that you can teach and recommend me. Of course, I'll still look forward to all of your hamster videos as well!

Having cats is the most rewarding and unique experience any pet owner could have. I have had over 15 cats in my life time and I'm still a teenager, and even though I love all animals, cats will always remain a favorite of mine.
They are all sooooo sweet! Aweeeee :) When my bunny, Sasha(died a few years ago from old age ~R.I.P. Sasha~) he and my cat, Popcorn, got along sooo well, they always played together. :)

Adorable! Shame it was an accidental litter but I'm so glad they're all staying in the family. The only thing I would say though, and I'm sure you already know this, I'd be really wary about introducing the kitten to Jack. One playful swipe from a cat can kill a rabbit, purely because of the bacteria that all cats carry. Unfortunately, I know a few people who this has personally happened to :( One of the bunnies only had a teeny little scratch where the cat swiped him playfully, but the bunny died. Like I said, you probably know all that already, but I just thought I'd let you know. A lot of people don't realise that even when your cat and bunny get along famously, just one lick or swat from a cat can kill as they carry so many nasties xx
Well I believe in that too, but she said that the personallity matches to be with other house animals. And most probibly they will be supervised together. :)
***** ErinsHamsters I thought this was interesting but I can't really find anything to back this up. Do you mind explaining further? The only disease I know of that can be spread from cats to rabbits through saliva or a scratch - of course I am assuming that the cat is vaccinated etc. - is bartonella. Bartonella is transmitted by fleas so as long as the cat is on a flea prevention or not exposed to fleas this shouldn't be an issue. I know our cats and rabbits interact all of the time, often grooming the rabbits and we have never had an issue. That being said I understand in many places in Europe cats are indoor/outdoor so is this where the bacteria is coming from? I could imagine they could get bacteria and dirt under their claws which could cause infection to anything they scratched, not just rabbits but then again I would think this is a concern with any indoor/outdoor pet such as a dog etc. In North America most people have strictly indoor cats as ours are. Our vet treats our rabbits, cats and dogs and know they all interact and yet has never told us there was anything to worry about. I am not arguing, I am just curious. x
BudgetBunny It's not necessarily specific diseases, like you say it's bacteria and germs in general. For example, if people get scratched by a cat they're often advised to get a tetanus injection, or go and have the wound cleaned immediately. I actually remember hearing of a woman who died after being bitten by a cat, because of an infection caused by bacteria the cat was carrying. Dogs don't tend to scratch or swipe at stuff the way that cats do, but to be honest I wouldn't let a dog anywhere near my rabbits anyway; even my own dogs are kept well away. There are a few cases on the forum I'm a member of, Rabbits United, where bunnies died after being swiped at by cats belonging to their owners. From what I remember they all seemed fine at the time, but then died within 24/48 hours. One injury was just a tiny scratch to the eye, and the bunny still died. These stories do go back a few years, but I still wouldn't risk it at all x

My neighborhood has one Tom cat (it used to have two which one of them was ours and had a litter with my neighbors cat, and one of those kittens is now my grandmas cat, and our Tom cat died) and he isn't fixed but my cat (a girl cat) still meows at the Tom cat during mating season with her inside our house and the Tom cat sitting outside of our door and they talk for hours.
He's adorable. Hard to believe he was that tiny at one point.

20 Euros!? Geez, that's not much at all to get a male desexed... Where I live the cheapest you can get a male cat desexed for is $200 AUD...
I just adopted a male cat from the local cat rescue group, they had to lower his adoption price cause everyone thought it was too much for a cat. I was going to adopt him at his full price, but they wouldn't let me because they already lowered it. He will be joining my little family next week~

We may have to consider putting a lid on the detolf but that won't be at least until Bertie is 6 months old as he will be nowhere near big enough to make the 4.5foot jump into the cage until then but thats only if he shows an interest in Amylase. Einstein is in a fully enclosed cage so we aren't worried about him at all. Einstein has had brief encounters with the other cats through his bars and has never shown any fear towards them - I think since he is so used to Jack shoving his face in the bars all the time he just doesn't care so I'm not too worried at this point :) x
