KZAP radio station in Sacramento, CA, played them/UFO a lot. Back then DJs could play anything they wanted and I sat in at the KZAP station with Wade Latin one night smoking while he was DJing. That was back in the mid 1970's. Rock Bottom and Doctor Doctor and I still have their original albums.

Love the faster tempo than the original it made an indulgent song much more listenable. Great skills on display. Guitar tone could be improved with less distortion...she doesn't need it.

Guitar player was playing Yngwie songs at like 8 years old, solos and all. Amazing to see a prodigy at work. Playing Rock Bottom without looking at the fretboard like its nothing. Sigh...

Yeah, Rock Bottom. Michael Schenker who started Scorpions with his brother. Saw Michael at the Boardwalk in Orangevale, CA, several years ago. He turned too heavy metal and not as good as the original UFO or Scorpions.
I've been around for ages but never heard the original. The was my first experience with this song and honestly I don't think I'll listen to the original version.
